Maeve is one of the greatest harp players of our time. Her solo on Mohabbat is pure bliss. The combo of Arooj's voice with bass and harp is divine. I feel so grateful to be able to alive at a time that this music is happening.
That harp solo is just gorgeous. Excited to see Aftab next month in Barcelona, and keeping my fingers crossed that Maeve (who I'd never heard of before) is with her.

I discovered Arooj Aftab after her Grammy. I am a big fan from Nigeria and would love if I can get english subtitle of her music for me to connect well with her music

His full name is Mirza Asad Ullah baig khan) Language : Urdu (National language of Pakistan, also spoken in some other places) I googled the translation, plus you know translation can't be as powerful as original language. So here you go complete Ghazal she sung few verse from this (Diya Hai) ...👇 " he’s human, gave his heart to her, what can I even say the messenger’s become my foe, so let him be this way it surely has to come some day, but insists not today the grievance that I bear ‘gainst death, pray, how do I portray resides my rival all the time in my beloved’s street thus calling it my foe’s abode, would then be only meet tis miracle of beauty that she fools me in this way claims that she knows what’s in my heart, and leaves me naught to say she purposely, in the bazaar, seeks after my welfare knowing full well that publicly, my plaints I will not air of beginning of faithfulness, you have no least concern there’s something in my fist but say, can you even discern? why fight with her when she presumes, my pleas to be insane to her replies I pay no heed, as naught I will obtain alas! for excellence in verse, envy’s the punishment what can one say, torture’s the price, for one’s accomplisment though there is no one who will say, Gaalib is good, but pray, save for the fact frenzied in love, what else is there to say
Arooj's voice and some exceptional parts of this masterpiece made my day. During the first 7 minutes with the harp, it was like rain, the whistle at 20:00 was mindblowing. And the harp again before the last minutes, my god! I'm glad to be alive in the era when this music happened. Lots of love from Bangladesh!🧡
