I love that they have a separate spot to bag your groceries! I wish we had that here in Canada. I always feel so rushed when I have to bag my groceries when there’s people huffing and puffing behind me. I love your videos! 💕
I love that part, too! I don't feel any anxiety about it and really comfortable to go at my own pace :))
Totally agree in the states they bag them for you most of time. But tbh I like my food bagged a certain way. I clearly don’t want cleaning products with my fruits 😂😂
Yea but they can’t top our milk bags 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The basket system (instead of a fixed cart) is genius for that too.
anais bermudez only place I’ve seen in the states that have a separate area to bag your own things is at “Save A lot”.. At least by me in Philly, they have a whole Separate counter at the front you can go to after payin, to bag your own groceries && not feel rushed. && of course Any store that has self checkout ( Walmart,Target etc), if you feel like doing everything yurself.
I would love to see a “what I eat in a day” or week I’m very interested considering it’s a big cultural change.
Who skipped past the beauty section to watch the food 🙋♀️
lol not me :D
All Those who did they are going places in life🔥🔥🔥🔥
I absolutely LOVE when you guys get involved and talk about what shopping is like where you live. Feel free to compare and contrast what you see in this video.. what is your grocery store like? I want to continue to cultivate internet friends (that's you!) who equally love sharing information and experiences. Just because something seems mundane to you, doesn't mean other's won't find it fascinating! We're all here to learn and have fun.. thank you for watching
Hey really like it videos a lot....love from india🙂
@@pranavsunil8069 big hugs from Japan, Pranav!!
@@heratlas sorry that was really like ur videos**
@Nicole G. AH!!! we have hot food sections in some areas too... I feel like I remember grocery stores back home in the USA being super cold, too!
As has been mentioned, some supermarkets here in the U.K. are bitterly cold! In the bigger supermarkets, we have fresh fish and meat sections, maybe a deli? In my local, we have a little section to get samosas, bhajis and curries, but that’s not standard! You get your cheese counters (cheese is important to Brits), deli meats, a bakery section... in my local, we also have a couple of additional shops, e.g. Argos (featuring the laminated book of dreams to catch the tears of joy), but I just feel like it lacks literally everything you’ve just shown us. I am disappoint.
this is literally the content I live for!!! I’ve always wanted to know what the inside of a continence store and japanese grocery stores are like !!! Thank you so much for uploading this 🥺
ah!! I was worried it was too long and boring, just pointing things out... but I was also like THE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW HOW COOL IT IS! I didn't even get to everything!
her.atlas grocery shopping and browsing is honestly a form of therapy for so many of us 🥰
Everything looks so good and it’s all packaged so cutely!
only downside is unnecessary plastic packaging for some products that dont really need it
Japan is so ahead of its time. That's what I admire about the country; how organized and together they are with everything they do. Love from America!
I almost choked when she said $30 for a cantaloupe!
Those are special fruit for gifting tho. Like extra pretty, stem attached and trimmed perfecrly. Not for everyday eating. Unless you can afford it I guess 😅 them why not! Simon and Martina have quite a few comparison videos with these super expensive fruits, if you wonder if they are worth it. I kinda like the thought of getting premium fruit as a gift. Yummy and doesnt clutter up my space 😂
There is a vlog on the grower on that fruit, you should watch it, she's won many awards of that fruit
I’m moving to Japan in March (🤞🏻) and the grocery stores absolutely fascinate me 😍😇 I’m so excited to experience it in person!
That's sounds exciting! I hope you have an amazing experience. :)
Did you end up making it?!
I can't wait to go back and explore the more "normal life" side of things in Japan. When I went last year, I just tried to jam-pack all the touristy stuff which was great but there's nothing like experiencing a country the same way the residents do.
i love Japan 💛
The flower shaped hand soap, I cannot 😩♥️
it's my fav!
You have made me the most comfortable and curious about this beautiful country!! Thank you for showing us it’s everyday beauty✨
this is the most wholesome comment.. WOW! ! thank you! SO SO SO glad you enjoy these vidoes
This video makes me want to go back to Japan for a holiday once it’s safe. I want all of the things 😍😍😍😍
I like that everybody there were dressed up for the grocery store
The separate bagging area is GENIUS I wish more american grocery stores could implement this its wayyyyyy less stressful
So fascinating. I love cooking and tripping through a grocery store is great fun for me. Everything looked so clean and fresh. Lots of variety also. I love that you go to another station to bag your groceries. Way cool. Glad I found you. Thanks for taking me shopping. Have a wonderful day. Stay happy and healthy. 💐
Anpanman is a hero of selflessness! He is literally bread, and he helps people by giving pieces of himself.
OMG! I was in heaven when you were in the beauty section. I use exclusively Japanese products for almost 5 years now, they have the best!!
Whenever I travel I love to go to places like grocery stores to get an insight into how locals live, so this was a much-appreciated video! 😍
I love love love this video. Even though I try to live as low waste as possible, I still love how adorable and different Japan is with their packaging, how they set up their groceries stores and such. Everything you post makes me so much more curious about Japan!
Thank you! I absolutely love videos like this, showing the every day things in Japan. I also love how genuine you are, and how you truly have respect for Japanese people and your surroundings. Sincerely - a Brisbane based gal who missed out on a third holiday to Japan because of covid 😭
this is so satisfying to watch! love this video❤️❤️
I love this! I could watch this for hours..... I lived in shanghai for 4 years and I miss it so much, it is just something about east Asia that I really love!!! and big grocery stores are always so fun :D
I love this video. I also love the music that they play in grocery stores / convenience stores. And the green tea Haagen Daz!!!! My heart
Loved the video! Makes me miss Japan so freaking much. Thank you for bringing us on with mouth-watering tour!
ahhhhh that intro, seriously laughing out about how you started this video. Thank you for making me giggle, You ARE the best!!
This video is so good! 🤍 It’s really making me fall in love with the country even more. ✨
I really really love this video... I have an obsession with Japan and now to have it on a blog is LIFE! So happy I accidently bumped into this page... thanks for explaining and showing the beautiful supermarket. 🌸❤
Love this video! I miss Japan, so thank you for taking us with you in your video's.
Thank you for this. I was obsessed with the grocery store when I visited a few years ago. Loved the produce & ready food.
Oscar’s appearance and discovery in this video made me smile!💕 I actually said “OSCAR!” when he popped up on the screen😂
I love this video! It is so interesting to see what everyday things are like in Japan ♥️
Really enjoyed the video, love to see more of the unique things, like the hand soap that you can only find there. Thanks!
Ahhh i LOVE these videos! I've been so fascinated by Japanese and Korean culture (especially the food!) so this is so cool!
I loved the fact that they actually have a packing area, because I always get stressed trying to pack my shopping before the next person shopping starts flooding the space!
I've been looking for a video like this for ages ! I love how you show the details and stuff ! Also I feel like these videos can be very boring but you make them so interesting somehow ! Loved it thank you !
Caitlin, I luv your Japanese Supermarket tour. Its better than most of the other ones. I have watched it several time already. This is probably my 4th time watching it. I hope you do some more Supermarket tour in Japan.
For a grocery store that looked absolutely amazing. Super clean and tidy. Everything looked unbelievably fresh and nicely packaged. I could have spent hours on there.
OMG i wanna spend a whole day in there!!! Absolutely LOVE your videos, and you really make me want to try more things... Thank you for the great job you are doing and for showing us Japan 💜
I LOVE these videos!!! Thank you so much for sharing the experience of living in Japan ♥ It's still one of my biggest dreams... to visit Japan one day.
YOU are my favorite UA-camr! I do look forward to these videos 🤗🙏🏻! God bless you and your family as you are abroad!
The items in your cart kinda seems familiar, then I remembered I think you made a grocery haul for the items you bought in this vid. I love watching your vids, they make me feel I’m in Japan myself and your voice is so soothing.
you're so observant! Yes these were filmed the same day :))))
This particular supermarket didn't seem to have much of it, but on the packing benches they have numerous items to help you pack your groceries so they don't drop, leak or spoil before you get them home - they can have fresh produce-sized bags, sticky tape (Scotch tape/cello tape for you Americans), string, a wet sponge to assist you opening the plastic bags, paper/newspaper, those green plastic things that help you carry heavy plastic bags without them digging into your fingers, and some even have free ice to keep your cold items chilled.
Self serve checkouts are slowly increasing in popularity but aren't a huge thing in Japan as they value a high level of customer service. Their self serve checkouts will normally greet you at the start, be more talkative than those in other countries and will graciously thank you at the end.
I miss Japan and the supermarkets and convenience stores and basically EVERYTHING!! I loved this video even if it made me miss Japan more. Hoping I can come visit again soon 💖
Oh I miss Japan so much! This video brings back the feeling of me shopping
I love watching her videos! And her tours of stuff!
thank you bella!!!
Idk why but this sort of footage always fascinates me. I can’t travel right now so this works 😏 Wish we could see other countries’ stores, too!!!
I absolutely love the packaging of food, it so pleasing to me.
What I really like about you is that as a foreigner you get the culture or at least try to learn it. As a foreigner you respect and is always mindful of being courteous to others. As I watch all the videos I find that you're actually the perfect foreigner to live in Japan. Keep up the great vids! Ganbate kudasai!
Your videos bring me happiness 💜
My boyfriend and I enjoyed every minute of this! Would love to see more experiences like these! 😁
Yes!! Love when you post!!
Yep I definitely love grocery store videos!
Love the video (as always). I'm so obsessed with Japan's food, how its packaged, marketed and consumed. It's so awesome to see the grocery store and the shelves. Wow, they take their cooking oils very seriously as well as the kimchi and soy sauce isle! I might have screamed when the little fishy package came into focus. Hellll no!
Thank you so much after watching it we feel like going there just right now ❤️
I love this kind of videos in supermarkets!
I love how you try a lot of new foods even if they don't look good. Enjoy your time in Japan, it'll go by fast. 💗💗💫
I was planning to go to Japan this summer to visit my family but, we all know what happened😪
you should do a video where you buy unfamiliar foods from the grocery store! like foods that you never thought of trying, or foods you don't know much about. it'd be a good way to try new things!
I LOVE this! I'm binging all your videos. I would really love to have those options, oils especially. The macadamia oil sounds intriguing.
Yay! Thank you! I'm curious what it would taste like or best be used for!
can you do a car tour? or like show the types of cars they drive there by any chance?
omg my car looks like an egg and her name is chicken nugget LOL
Why was this so entertaining? I really appreciate and like your content 😌✨
I absolutely loved this video! I am from Scotland and find all of your videos so interesting! Thank you for letting us have a little insight into beautiful Japan
I love Scotland!! You should record your own grocery store, too. I’d definitely watch.
❤ I really enjoyed this vid. Felt like I was there with you! かわいい🥰
You are so nice! Before your videos I already want to go to japan, and now I wanted even more! I will love to see you do a fullface of makeup with products from japan.
I loooove this type of vids! Its so interesting!
Glad you enjoyed!
Love your videos - makes me want to visit Japan so much. I watched a few of your early videos when you were getting ready to move. I was surprised not to see videos of your arrival, receiving Gus in Japan, etc. Maybe you could talk a bit about getting adjusted to your new home and what that was like?
I have just stumbled across your channel and I have to say I absolutely love your content ! I’m so fascinated by Japanese culture and I’m trying to learn more about it. I can’t wait to see more videos from you about your life there. It seems like such a beautiful country I can’t wait to visit. Also Gus-Gus ! He is gorgeous
i love your videos !! i live for them all the time !! SUGOI🥰😱
I love the Biore SPF 50 sunscreen! I started ordering it off Amazon about 7 years ago after another Japanese vlogger recommended it and some other beauty products. The quality of Japanese and Korean beauty/makeup products is amazing! I’d probably spend my whole first paycheck on the stuff if I lived there lol! Thanks for showing all the neat stuff at the grocery store where you are!!
I LOVE your videos. I follow you on tiktok and now and your youtube channel. Just keep posting I really enjoy watching your videos are so aesthetically beautiful ❤️
I love your videos keep them coming 🥰💕
I’m very impressed with your restraint in the ice cream aisle. If i was there i would have wanted to take it all home 😍😍
Love this content! You should try doing a cooking series or mini vlog of recipes that you learned how to cook from your time there, I would love to see that.
When in Japan, I’m guessing go to the grocery store for a fresh meal and then some! 😃
I love that store. So clean the atmosphere so great.
Love this! Next do an in-depth of the candy section 🤪
Loved the video!! I was in Japan last year for two months and one thing that really blew my mind was the amount of plastic I/we generated every single day...
Everything is so cute and organized and clean! I love the packaging and love the carts/baskets!! I feel like I would need to have two though; I buy a lot of groceries lol.
The little bakery past the cash registers and the Backen Mozart in the corner are really good as well.
Im digging the youtube channel! Your tiktok's just aren't long enough! Japan is so interesting!
I love watching japanese grocery tours, i feel like im living vicariously through this content 😅 i also suggest watching the grocery video by Simon and Martina, they broke down the cost of japanese food and grocery items too.
When I go to the grocery store to buy very few things, it sucks to carry the basket the whole way. That's why I love the mini cart for the basket! I wish we had that here
I had wondered how my Japanese grocery here in the USA compared to an actual Japan grocery. I'm surprised to say that it was very similar, except your version had more American products in it! Thank you for the tour. I've never been to Japan. So for me, it was fun to see.
The peach alcoholic drink is familiar to those who watch anime😂
(My english is bad, but I'll try)
Just got to say I love your videos! I feel like I've been waiting forever for a new video this time so I'm so glad you posted a new one 😍
Love from Norway

I would love to see taste tests or reviews of different noodles, icecream, sunscreen with links to buy your favs. Love your videos!

Please make more videos like this!! I love them! ☺️
Everything is so clean...especially the makeup area.
This really made me miss japan!! I was supposed to go back this summer 😔
This is so neat. The beauty side reminds me of Macy’s beauty department or a large CVS I found in New York and the second floor was beauty
