Love convenience stores in Japan. We love getting dinner at these places because seriously me they taste just as good as a lot of restaurants. Great video!

+TheNovaCat124 it only takes a quick Google search to find that out,... depending on several factors such as if ur single, job, type of rent, appt type, utillity bills...etc..... ur looking at something from 1-3k USD a month... look up +Texan in Tokyo ,... she also makes Japan related videos and has one that specifically answers ur question... There is almost no difference to the supermarket i go to every week :D
    Just a few things:
    - there are less "buy-and-go" things like the hot food, hot drinks, supersmall sized stuff
    - the drinks section is HUUUUGEE here and 1/3 of it is beer (and a bit vodka kind of stuff^^)
    - much more refrigerated stuff
Oh and: despite my supermarket ("Kaufland" literally "Buying Land") being supercheap compared to others, Listerine is still 3,50€ which is almost 400 Yen. Several other things are also more expensive here :c And I thought Japan was an expensive place to live!!111 **completely ignores renting costs on purpose**
Kudos to the konbini owners for letting you film and thanks for the awesome video :D

I had trouble overcoming my shyness when I first came to Japan...I would watch the transactions ahead of me carefully because interacting with the people working the registers is kinda different here! Took all my social cues from that, like how you learn as a child from your parents!
Luckily if your Japanese isn't too good you can really get away with not saying much! You'll adapt quickly! :)
