PLEASE do not quit your channel!!! We wait for your videos to come out!! We understand that you think of quitting because of slow growth we feel that way all the time!! We started our channel in 2016 and really got into it about 4 years ago posting a video every week and then some shorts. (Over 400 videos) We are only at 7,500 subscribers and the money we make is a joke. The one good thing that has come from it is I get hired for modeling and acting jobs because of our channel.
Your photography and drone shots and sense of humor is THE BEST!! You have inspired my mom so much… she and I just built a gate and now are refinishing our porch!
We also love your taste in decor! There’s nothing worse than watching someone renovate a room and hate what they do with it, so thank you for having great taste!
We also love how you include your animals, the garden and your trees falling and your grounds and Lincoln’s demos.

It's a mystery to me why your channel hasn't grown faster. It is wonderful! It is completely unique from other chateau channels. Your witty humor. Your tasteful and cool decorating. Your adorable animals. Your perfectly paired music. Following all the many projects. Your drone, sky and tree-lined driveway shots are gorgeous - my moments of zen. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

The low tree swing, the poop, camera falling, joking with each other, the humour, the laughter, doing work in garden and inside is what makes us the almost fourty thousand watch and patiently wait for your vlogs. It's the everyday life of two hardworking people, doing an enormous job beside being parents and doing all the jobs with an ease and calm, making it even more interesting to watch. Who wants to listen to the technical side of things to be done in a chateau? It's more fun watching a cat go up the ladder, another cat asleep on the Christmas tree, making mulled wine, and the expectation when you say there's just a clean-up and the reveal of another finished room will follow!! Carry on like this for another two, three years....no rush, we'll be here!!

Three minutes in & I realized that I had tears starting (I find these two's humor so dry & so funny)! It is rare these days to find people who can laugh at themselves & this is refreshing! I Love This Channel, it & one other (also humorous) that I can't wait for & click on as soon as it's available! The other five Chateau channels I Subscribed to can build for a month (or more) until I get in the mood to watch (or drop)

I watch a fair amount of château based UA-cam content. I appreciate your postings because you come across across in a genuine and honest manner. I’m an 81 year-old man who lives in Palo Alto and has lived in Northern California since 1970. I also had a place in Tuscany for 15 years and return there frequently to see my old friends. My place was only 65 m² of house and 100 m² of garden and an old farmhouse located in the middle of a Chianti wine estate. It was 2.2 km from the main road and we had lots of privacy. I enjoyed all the time I spent there immensely and felt like I was living in paradise. Your project is much more extensive and I respect your sweat equity. I hope you enjoy your time immensely raising two children on the project is also something challenging. I worked in the American American school in London for three years as a school psychologist. Moving to a foreign country is not easy on children. I hope yours are enjoying their new country. Much luck.

I'm a UA-cam junkie . A couple weeks ago this channel showed up in my feed. You are now FAVORITE! I've watched every episode twice. You both r hilarious and all the pets are a real plus ❤. I just recently found your channel and think your journey is fascinating to watch. Your dry and sometimes rather cynical sense of humor is hilarious. The voice over style is awesome. I must say that watching just a face in the camera telling stuff is not enjoyable - but hearing thoughts and reflections while showing us what provoked them like you guys do - is a whole other level. Lincoln’s laugh is worth a thousand words. Love you guys! And thanks so much for not giving us make-up tips or showing us your outfit of the day. Dear lord!

Of all the chateau channels I like your vision and design aesthetic best. It reminds me of a lot of the cool apartments I used to visit when I lived in Paris. It’s the right blend of old and new. I watch just two other chateau channels and several other channels of various genre. I love your sense of humor, your sweet animals, the beautiful scenery you share with Lincolns talented drone flying, your work ethic, your sharing of your travels, and your unique decorating style. Lincoln is always amazing me with his smarts figuring out just about anything, his soft spoken nature and his adorable quips. Your channel is one of my favorites. If I was your neighbor I would be the nuisance, wanting to get in and help. Love renovation. We are foster parents to kittens and now have four foster failures. Plus a dog fail as he didn’t make the cat’s life miserable. So lovely to watch your growing fur family. One of my twin daughters live in Saint Cirq Lapopie, a medieval village south western France. I live with her sister in Texas ,having moved here from New Zealand a few years ago. Don’t change anything about your blog, they are very witty and great to watch. All the best😊

I LOVE your channel. You always put a smile on my face. Maybe because you seem so approachable. Some chateau renovators leave me in awe, how do they find that many hours in a day to do all they do and then edit it all. But you two are just two regular folks getting on with renovating your house. And what a house! Just like I coulda, shoulda, woulda done in another life. Love that you can laugh at yourselves too. I now only watch two of the French Chateau (x) vlogs - yours and Escape to the Dream. You have the best walled garden and "petit" village on your property. Calm beauty is sometimes slower in growing than teams of people at revved up speed completing jobs to a time limit. With the world and life in out of control motion it is truly nice to stop and watch your quiet, quirky? mix of home, rescue and travel. You cannot now not let us in (I am hoping). Such achievements by outsiders, not speaking the language and doing so much by yourselves (including of course parenting, etc) is inspiring. Cannot wait for your kitchen reno and hoping you turn one of the cottages into a cooking and gardening event locale.
Please don’t stop your channel, I am sure it is discouraging sometimes especially with all the work you already have to do; however I know two people with channels one sewing, one cooking both say it took 4 and 5 years to really get over the 100,000 mark. Now they are doing quite well. I love your channel, the work you have done in the chateau and on the grounds is amazing, thanks for sharing your life with us.

As a renovator and lover of interiors and architecture, I’ve become bored with a lot of the chateau videos where the owners shop for nothing but (uncomfortable) 18th century furniture. I wonder, are they creating a home or a museum?
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is you guys seem to respect the architecture while furnishing your home with a comfortable mix of things (new and old) to make your home warm and inviting.
And the dog with the beret…love it!
I watch several chateau reno channels. While some may have way more followers, I truly enjoy yours as a favorite. So down to earth! Love your personalities ❤ maybe when the reno is finished the chef can teach us to cook...or maybe before😊
Numbers are not everything. I have seen some You Tube channels with a lot of followers that are shit. Your filming, sense of humor and content are wonderful. This is one of my top favorite UA-cam Channels. We can so relate to your life of renovations (not a chateau, but a 1910 farmhouse) and animal rescue. Please don't get discouraged there are many of us who love your channel.
Don't give up! I rely on your renovation antics, your animals, and your humor to brighten my days. Like you, I'm an American with an EU passport. I live in Austria now after having renovated an old farmhouse in Croatia with my ex-wife. We had a bewildering number of projects, a large garden wiped out by a half-hour hailstorm, COVID, and an endless stream of stray cats taking up residence, which led to a campaign to spade/neuter every animal we could get our hands on (unfortunately, laws prohibited extending the effort to our neighbors themselves). Sadly, the marriage couldn't withstand all the fun. So I get a kick out of watching you guys not only cope but thrive, and I truly appreciate the workarounds you manage because of language (god, I know the kinds of gyrations that leads to). So please keep up the good work. It's a real pleasure watching everything come together for you. And if you ever need an extra pair of hands, let me know. I'm ready to suit up.

I've also noticed that people who put out shorts that UA-cam just sticks between suggestions tend to pick up new viewers. One guy with a humorous cooking channel made 100k Real Quick, I Subscribed after seeing two, because of his humorous attitude & approach to his subject & is only the third cooking channel I Subscribed to.

I like your channel just as it is. You focus primarily on the chateau and the buildings and the renovations, which is people generally watch for. The quirky humor is a bonus :) The animals are great. DONKEYS!! I do have a channel, and am creeping up on 2K subscribers, so you are huge in comparison. Don't think about the numbers; just enjoy it. Make the videos YOU want to make and don't overthink what people might want.

After a week of bingeing on your vlogs and we are within 4 of catching up (thanks for giving us the perfect procrastination venue) we thought it was time to comment. I spend between 5 a.m. and 7:30ish watching UA-cam from Jay Lenoish vlogs to rehabbers, hence I discovered you last week, a little late we know. We just completed an 18 year total inside and outside remodel of a house being a microcosm of your adventure. Why 18 years because life gets in the way as you found out. A man at the grocery store was buying A LOT of cat food and I had to ask him how many cats he had. I told him about the channel and "Amanda's cat rescue." Unfortunately, the conversation morphed into his divorce (I wanted to keep talking about the chateau). 😠

You two are hilarious, it’s such a hoot and a joy watching your videos. The filming, banter, commentary and editing is so up there. Bravo. There must be thousands of home renovating channels on here so it takes a while for people to find you. I’ve been watching them for years but your one only came up on my feed about 2 months ago. I binge watched from the beginning and now you feel like a close neighbour I wouldn’t want to live away from. In reality I’d be quietly dropping off wine, cheese and baking with the occasional offer to come over - because of course we wouldn’t want to be in each other’s hairs. I can see why your farmer neighbours are so helpful. Your channel will grow so please keep filming, if that’s what you want to keep investing your time and energy into. At the very least it’s going to be a cracker history for your offspring in the next century. I’m looking forward to when you can do cooking classes in one of your renovated kitchens. I’d include that experience on my bucket list. I must stop, I have gone overboard with praise 😁
