it's great to revisit videos of Remake reveals now, because as the project approaches its conclusion, it's become increasingly clear that we'll almost surely never experience anything like this again
As a newcomer to the franchise, I agree. This is one of those, once in a lifetime things, and I'm glad to be part of this journey.
Remake/Intermission is unbelievably amazing, as a completionist I'm over the moon with the experience from the original. Some of the boss fights like Weiss create such a unique level of difficulty, it's just so good

@@MelodyJD - Once the PC version drops, someone will unlock it through mods/code editing. There's also other DLC (weapons/summons?) that appeared in the December leak that will also drop at some point.

My favorite details about Tifa:
1: They did not skimp out on giving her muscle tone. She lifts.
2: Pleated skirt for a greater range of motion in the legs. Important when you're kicking.
3: Padded knuckles and arm bracers. Important when you're punching as well.
Not skimping on muscle tone would mean real muscles like the girls of Street Fighter V. Yes, this Tifa has some muscle tone but barely.

J B Im not saying Tifa needs to look like a roided up bodybuilder! Theres a Grand Canyon between noodle limbs and bodybuilding but since the Internet is all about absolutes and the word “nuance” has no meaning that we’ve forgotten Street Fighter V has toned AND still very attractive women fighters or something.
No one is talking about Tifa having to look “like a man”. Have you ever seen the Olympics? Have you seen women gymnasts or soccer players (or weight lifters or 100m sprinters for that matter)? I like how Tifa looks RIGHT NOW but testosterone has nothing to do with her being able to show some more muscle mass (code word: some. It baffles me how you went from that to fucking steroids). Jesus fucking Christ.
Max's excitement for this is too pure for this cruel world. Square really outdid themselves in every regard.
Our decisions are influenced by the reactions of our environment but the amount varies for each person. Once I stopped visiting certain forums and hiding twitch chat I stopped being pessimistic and overly critical and focus on enjoying the things I enjoy, no matter how flawed they ultimately are. I stopped trying to have a "right taste" to conform and instead celebrate my subjective preferences regardless of how "good/bad" a game is.

All that waiting paid off never thought we would get this spoiled by Square themselves. My faith in them is slowly regaining. Also the FF8 Remaster was completely off guard I fucking love that game. Glad everyone can play and experience one of the best Final Fantasies.

Well, the people who want her to be closer to the original care. That's why they're complaining... because they care about the thing they're talking about. I mean, the game will be out when it's out and we'll have from then until the end of time to play that, but once it's out these designs are never going to change.

Only thing making me less excited about Part 2, for no fault of Square is I've yet to be able to buy a PS5.
I bought a PS4 only for FF7r, and i've been trying to get my hands on a PS5, but i refuse to pay those scalpers.
Hopefully Part 1 will release on PC soon, so even if Part 2 releases and i have no PS5, i'll have that to keep me company for a while.

@Supersky GMNG Nope. Thank God they didn't "westernize" her and give her some dumb "thick" thighs. That fanmade one sucked. She was originally skinny, fit, and in shape, had a cute face, and big boobs. Was a gorgeous design. I'm glad they are doing her justice, at least for the most part. Absolutely a million times better than what Capcom did to Claire in the remake aka uglier face, weird body proportions, etc.

Smooth transition from cutscene to gameplay. They've also incorporated several elements from other FF series like the stagger system, and strategic use of the ATB. Subtle combination of old school and modern combat system. That's how you innovate a remake. Max's reaction was very genuine and really nice to see.
Dude this is perfectly. This is basically KH/FF15 done right! Even though FF13 was the weakest of the series, I did have a lot of respect for the stagger system, yet geniusly managed to combine that, WITH the real time action from 15, character swapping, control of attack, combos ,dodge and block - WHILE implementing the strategic side of the older classic FF games. This combat system is seemingly perfect. I just hope they balanced the magic system way better than 15 ever did. If they can do that right, then FF7 Remake will literally be THE best FF game. Hands down.

Every once in a while, I come back to these just to see Max's excitement. It makes me giddy.
After that trailer and presentation, I'm a lot more optimistic about the game. I'm actually excited now.
I don't get all the people complaining about "It's just Midgar!?" Like, yeah, they're expending the story, they're giving us more character development. And while Midgar was relatively short in the grand scheme of things, doing it with modern production values is a whole other ball game.
Those are the same people who said the Square Conference was trash in the twitch chat. Don't mind them, they're just NPCs in this world 😂
@Liao Lyon It's because here in the west Publishers have piised the hell out of most players, still don't explain why people hate developers instead of publishers, but it's somewhat understandable. Although yes, I still don't know what the hell is the thing people have with Devs when publishers are almost always to blame for bad marketing decisions and payment model.
Also we will probably get to Explore all the Sectors since we couldn’t do that in the Original.

max in maximum mode the nostalgia is real and it's never looked better... now we just need a hands on review so we know if it plays well.
Tifa looks very Advent Children; not too exaggerated features but still noticeable. I like the direction they went in for her design personally, and I LOVE the way her limit break looks (I think they showed Aerith’s too, which I also really liked). Since Midgar is two discs worth of content this time, I’m really looking forward to how much development the Avalanche members are gonna get.
Hopefully, even if they're not playable, they do like previous FFs and they're bonus characters on missions?

Yeah, my biggest complaint is that when the plate thing crashes and kills everyone, we do not know anyone. There was no character development for the Avalanche members, no bonding, it was really just for Cloud to realize he cares when it could of been more.

If they do it right, and I'm really hoping they do, it can be set up to where it makes you think that the story changed and they will live. All the way up to the plate drop, they can have you begging that they changed up the story. Only to see that it didn't. That would be a the massive "oh shit..." story moment.

Trust me thats what square is doing. Still got chill talking about this. You will be treated with a fantasy story that makes sense and you will realize that this will be the only final fantasy that will makes you love and hate the villain. You hated the villain that you really want to be in the game and rip his guts out. Im over exagerrating here but thats the truth I really hated sephiroth and loved him at the same time.
