- Audi S5 muffler back box delete - do-it-yourself pre-made 'bolt-on' delete pipes by Zaustworx. For B8 4.2 version. Before/after cold start and view underneath, plus a short run in comfort and sport mode around town.
Just cut original pipes 3" from the weld on back box. Slide on new pipes, add exhaust paste to seal pipes, then tighten the U bolts. Takes 30 minutes.

I had these on mine and they droned a bit when you accelerated at motorway speeds but sounded really good around town.
I've been looking to get these on my S5 for a little while, other videos didn't really show what I W
as after as I was worried about the cabin drone, did something similar on a mk5 gti and i ended up taking them off again as was too loud for me and I got a resonated system instead.
Thanks for the upload - this has given me my answer, this will be too loud for me.
Can be loud at times but it's the only reason why I look forward to driving the car, always gives a smile

Can you must cut original exhaust? My 2008 year has got stock cutting bands.
The original exhaust must be cut 3 inches (7.5cm) from the weld on back box. Then new pipes are bolted on. No welding.
Just to add the original exhaust is one piece all the way underneath the car so the only way to add this type of mod is cutting. Easy to do, and I will say I'm loving the sound every time I drive.

Is yours the 3L v6, or 4.2 v8? After 3 months its sounding even better, burbles around town just doing 15-20mph which is mainly what i wanted so people know you have a V8. 70mph pretty quiet inside cabin. On fast accelleration it is loud. If yours is manual you could remove centre resonator to make it louder, not recommended on auto's due to drone. For me its definitely loud enough.
I have the 4.2 V8 year 2009 in automatic transmission however I live in France my vehicle is European perhaps they are designed with other standards which is indeed can explain this difference we understand clearly that it is a V8 but it doesn't purr as much as your video
