Gain match, Codec Preview on the project page will be nice to have. I requested these two feature many years ago. Every other mastering DAW get those features
looks good, but an question please: by mastering in project-mode I can hear the tracks in a row (one after each other - like an record (-stream) ) and like to adjust a bit the sounding by an minimal EQ modification - to let the tracks - if hearded one after the each before - not so differenz in the bass/mid/high loudness. is it possible to adjust each track(song) wise in the mastering?! it would be fine to be able to that. (an(=one EQ) insert to judge over all tracks (songs) is not so handy in that case.)
Hi Mr. Beyerle! Sorry to ask this question but my need is great. Does Studio One 6 have a Normalize function that I can normalize a track to a -10 db? I can check the box for Normalize in the inspector. It normalizes the track to 0db. I do not believe that changing the Gain at this point to a -10 db is the same as normalizing the track to a -10 db Any chance you can respond? Kind Regards, Robert Hanson
Unfortunately, the Project Page is woefully inadequate. Publishing is NOT the same as mastering. Other issues with the Project page: If you arrange your screen (i.e.: stretching various windows), the app does not remember those positions. It does not maintain those windows in Templates, either. If a user switches back to a Song file from the Project page to modify a mix, when they return to the Project page, the windows return to their default stretches. Maddeningly frustrating.
Yes indeed and it's annoying, fixable but not critical, if Presonus fixed this it would speed up work flow and be little less annoying.
However, why do you state the Project page is inadequate? Mastering is the primary step towards Publishing, in StudioOne you have both so what are you seeking here? Id be interested in how you set up the Project page for mastering songs!
@@BraddersMusic I can publish anything but that does mean it is mastered. I have window stretches I want to maintain but cannot. I want my waveform window smaller than the default but cannot maintain it.

Hello there! Awesome content as always! Quick question, would you happen to know why the Album Mode feature is missing from the Digital Release window when exporting mastered tracks?
I am having an issue with Project page. I've added songs from the project page, and also from the song page itself. When I click on 'Digital Release' and create MP3 files with publishing set to 'Do not publish' I get a directory where the MP3 files are exported. to. So far so good.
However, when I listen to the MP3 files not all of the tracks on the songs are being exported to the MP3 file! There are no tracks marked as solo or mute in the song files but I am missing the bass and drum tracks on the resulting MP3 files.
These are Midi tracks, should I be converting them to audio tracks and muting the Midi tracks? I haven't had to do that before, but if that is what it takes I am ok with that.
I always use the Project Page. I usually just master an individual song and then pull them in for the album sequence burn. I'm not EQing multiple songs on the Project Page, maybe I'm wrong.
The Loudness check for Album Mode I didn't notice or maybe I don't have...I'm still using Studio One version 3.5 !!

I use Audacity to adjust the Loudness Perception to my target LUFS. Doesn't Album match just set a limit (no louder than) rather than adjust to a target (up or down)?
Hi Gregor: Thanks for the video. I have been using this for a few years and find it useful for album work, so I would love to have a direct access to Bandcamp similar to Soundcloud.
In the video you showed how to change the % size of the two windows, but I would love to be able to save this setting so in future access it does not default back to the original view. Is this possible;?

Hi, that should go into the Master Bus Insert section. I mostly use the Post section for Metering and Analysis Plug-ins. -GBY

hey everyone, I'm a new user of studio one and before this I learnt recording using FL studio. I have an issue here in FL. I cant set the metronome without affecting the actual audio that I recorded before. this song begins with 90bpm and then slowing down to 80 bpm, but when I set my metronome to slow down 10 bpm, my recorded audio also get affected (I played the instrument in actual 80 bpm), but because it slowed down too because of the metronome, it becomes 70 BPM. I installed studio one but have no clue how to make it work as I want it to. Can anybody help me? Thanks
Hi, please make sure that you're Tracks are not set to "Timestretch" Follow Mode in the Track Inspector (F4 key). Hope this helps. -GBY

"Upload to Soundlcoud" doesn't seem to work from the publish window. I tried it recently and the popup it gave me never enabled to upload button even when filling up all the fields. I appreciate this isn't the right place to report that sort of thing but I thought I'd mention it anyway

Hi Gregor, I really like Studio One, but I do live sound, and I have piles of 2 track recordings. I wish that I could have direct access to the project page so I don't have to load everything into the song page, only to transfer everything (one LONG track) from the song page to the project page and chop it up there.
You can chop it up on the project page....use markers and split at markers

@PreSonousAudioElectronics , it would be so cool if we could point the cursor and select directly from the wav file just like in the song page...sometimes we want to select the loudest parts of the mix and it's not as easy in the project page. that would be a cool addition.
The Keyboard Shortcut "Locate Mouse Cursor" is perfect for that, I have mine programmed to ctrl + space. So wherever your mouse is press "Ctrl + Space" and it will move the cursor to that location. Hopefully this helps.

@@hbonthetrack the wav no its more so just moving the cursor. Are you attempting to do edits to the wav file itself?
@@TheOnlyNovacaso naaa just be able to select the wav form itself like in song mode…select just the hook / loudest parts
@@hbonthetrack then yes, it basically allows you to navigate through the wav, instead of "clicking" where your mouse is, you just press "Ctrl + Space" and its essentially the same thing

The Project page is a royal pain in the backside. The whole point is that you can switch back and forth, but every change requires another rendering of the song, in order to have the master up to date. A cool idea, but poorly executed.
That is not available in v5.2 Artist. considering unsubscribing because all videos are now conserning v6.
Artist does not support Mastering, you need the Pro version at any build level.
