@@tomkelly8774 for me, 1964 starting with the Beatles to 1994 and the end of Grunge was the best 3 decade run of great rock music from 100s of excellent artists, we got a great song and album almost every week for 30 years, we'll never see or hear the likes of it again.
Depends on your age, however, without ALL of the eras before this, we wouldn't have had it. I came of age during this era, but I still like the 60s 80s and 80s a bit more.
People who were in their teens and early twenties when the hair bands were dominating the music scene would say they were the best times for music and those guys were super cool - the haters were just jealous of them coz they were making money, getting all the attention, looked sexy and attracted all the best looking girls. These were the days when it was actually fun to go to a concert - there was energy and excitement and people could actually dance to the music. The hair bands were cool and the music was quality. Rock Stars were and always will be the REAL stars to me.
Back when the concert goers were present and enjoying the concert to the fullest instead of standing still with the cell phone in hand like bots! Ahhhhh, the good ole days!
In the '80s we still had real bands and real music. EVERY week you would hear one or two new all time favorite songs. That was the soundtrack to my life. Thank you for understanding. 🥰

Love your insights on this song Angela. I’m 65 so I definitely remember this being on the radio but have only in last few years begun to appreciate it. Sebastian Bach’s voice was something special
The best rock/hard rock/heavy metal was from the mid 60s to the early 90s and that includes the "hair metal" era. Sure there's been some decent stuff since that 25+ year time period, but as a whole.....not even in the same universe. The overall vibe of that quarter century was that of a non-stop party and those of us born at the right time were lucky to have lived it.
The girl in the video was his wife who passed away and he lost everything mourning her. This song is so much deeper than just a break up. Back then all songs had meaning.
Go for it! A hair metal band theme! Skid Row was great on power ballads. Try these: Quicksand Jesus In A Darkened Room Wasted Time Into another 18 & Life (bet you’ve heard that one!)
Yes to hair bands! Angela, I love your videos and your brilliant smile and kind personality! Thank you for what you do to bring a little happiness into our lives.✨🍀🦋🎶
My junior year of high school....wow! What a trip down memory lane. What a refreshing 10 minutes this was. Love seeing someone so young experience the greatness that was the 80's and 90's. Sub'd.
Your little smile and smirk when Sebastian is hitting the run at the end is all this reaction needs. It gave me chills to see that. You don't need to pause it and discuss it and overreact to it. Just to look on your face says enough
Towards the end, there's a backing vocal on the "I remember You" right before he goes into his I REMEMBAHH YOOUUUUUOOHHH YEAHHAEEEHAAA" part. Jon Bon Jovi was randomly in the studio where they recorded this and they asked him to add a background vocal to the track, so he did. @5:01
Totally 80s fun and definitely a guilty pleasure vibe, they do have some good tunes as the hair band era was about to end as Grunge dominated the first half of the 90s. The 80s were a very fun time, no doubt, then the vibe in society at large changed in the 90s, a very different time. Try 18 and Life, the official video, if you have not seen it, it is a banger. Nice to see you again my dear, you always brighten my day. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
The first concert I ever attended was Skid Row opening for Bon Jovi. Great memories! Sebastian Bach is unhappy at the moment. Apparently Skid Row is touring again with Lzzy Hale on vocals. That's what I heard, anyway.
Remember back when music was actually played on instruments, songs had significant meaning, and singers didn't use auto-tune? Pepperidge Farms remembers. Some songs to listen to: "Don't Close Your Eyes" by Kix, "Cherry Pie" by Warrant, "Pour Some Sugar on Me" - Def Leopard, "Something To Believe In" by Poison, "You Give Love A Bad Name" by Bon Jovi, "Round and Round" by Ratt, "House of Pain" by Faster Pussycat, "Signs" by Tesla, "Still of the Night" by Whitesnake, "Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)" by Cinderella, "Wait" by White Lion, "The Ballad of Jayne" by L.A. Guns, "Smooth Up In Ya" by Bullet Boys, "Up All Night" by Slaughter, "Once Bitten Twice Shy" by Great White, "Love Is On The Way" by Saigon Kick, "Poison" by Alice Cooper, "Girlschool" by Britny Fox, "Seventeen" by Winger, "Edge of a Broken Heart" by Vixen, "Kiss Me Deadly" by Lita Ford, "To Be With You" by Mr. Big, "Still Loving You" by Scorpions. Nothing guilty about taking pleasure in good music no matter what era and what style. This is a rock ballad for the ages and Sebastian Bach is one of the all-time great rock singers
