You did your homework on your roof. Thanks for the education for the longevity of a metal roof. Makes a lot of sense when it comes time to replace. Again another awesome video. Look at that beautiful tree out in the yard. Great clean up.
Thanks! There's definitely things that are improved upon with a pole barn and things that are lesser quality than conventional built. It's a give and take like a lot of other things in this world.

@@TKCL Andrew - I'm just now watching your videos. I had a similar question that Mark B. had a year ago. Did you have any issues with that length of run for the sewer line? How long was the line from your bathroom to the septic tank - I'm guessing about 120 feet?

Yes I did, I knew I couldn't dig up the concrete so I wanted to make sure it was correct. Sadly I still wound up with some of the plumbing in the wrong place by several inches.
Yep, I actually have a story about that. Pex was my plan and I was going to go through the ceiling. But.... By the time I caught up with the plumber he had already ran water lines. We wanted a break in the roof and it's how the barn kits come. We do not like how a roof looks with the same pitch and being long like this one. It reminds us of chicken houses that are all over the area. This keeps us a nice tall and open roof over the side porch too, something that was important to my wife. Also adding a lean to porch gives 50 percent more posts in the ground, that's important to me for the wind prone area we live in.

PVC underground or CPVC for the potable water? jus' wonderin'
Cpvc for water, pvc/waste line for sewage.
Andrew,
Did you concrete your post before you did your slab?
Yes per engineered plans.
Sorry how thick is the plywood you use on the roof
1/2 cdx
How this is your plywood you use
Did you use PVS or PEX for water lines?
PVC not PVS LOL
Cpvc.. I actually have a story about that, was going to do PEX later but got a surprise water line install that I did not realize I even paid for.
So your saying I don't have to stay in the storm shelter?????
Well about that, someone else has already claimed the inside rooms. I'll let you fight them for one. 😁
What is the thickness of the cdx?
1/2 inch since I did all the blocking.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I would never put PVC under a slab
It's Cpvc and every slab home I know of down here does that. Until the new pex came out that's been common practice.
