Excellent talk! Demonstrates how our personal and collective actions can make a big difference in the most daunting crisis of our time. This is a crisis that affects each and every one of us, our kids, and the habitability of the Earth. Jill inspires us to rise up in solidarity.

we need carbon emitting sanctuaries. i just bought a car load of sub-bituminous coal on ebay and i want to ignite it without being hassled. it could be called fossil fuel combustion safe space.

How about Climate Justice for the science regarding the conclusions.
Leaving out the Sun activity blatantly deceiving us that it's our fault.

Ever consider that most normal people have jobs and can’t sit around blocking economic growth while living off of daddy’s trust fund?

Bleached coral doesn't mean the coral is dead.

My understanding is it means the coral can't reproduce - can't create new polyps.

if you'd study just 1 semester of economics, you'd understand that markets can create what's called 'market failure' if there are no appropriate rules in place. In this case, 'market failure' means changing the climate, because the rules to prevent market participants from creating this havoc haven't been put in place yet.
We don't need to overturn capitalism, we need better rules.

@@GetBenched2010 please explain to me how the only alternative to capitalism is totalitarianism
