Really nice review, Lile! You do such a fine job of evenly presenting all the pros and cons of a game, and how it connected or didn't connect with you. I really enjoyed watching this one, but I think this probably isn't a game I would greatly enjoy. Exploring trauma is generally stressful for me, and then I get sad. :) But I really liked the review!
Thanks, Zilla! And I get it, this game is definitely not for everyone. And depending on my mood, it wouldn't have been for me, either. But I liked it very much, something different for sure.
feel like it;s smarter going with a stylised approach as small dev, you can use artistic flare to make a visual impression where you maybe don;t have the budget for the cutting edge technically. You speak so well and in such depth and clarity, I can barely get a sentence to come out right :o Honestly feel like in the world of entertainment on many fronts the non-US stuff is currently by miles the more interesting, sort of creative stagnation over there these days.
Definitely. Indie studios that try to go for realism will always be behind the big AAA companies, that's just the way it is. But I think it's a great opportunity to go for a more creative solution, like you said. And a lot of the best looking games this year have been indies because they go for a great art style instead of a realistic graphic style. Ahahaha! Thanks! But that is only because I'm reading from a script. I could never be this well-spoken without one :D Otherwise I just stumble over sentences. And you don't want to know how long it takes me sometimes to get these sentences right. I mostly click more with European media. It feels more authentic to me, but I'm also from Europe, so that just might be my personal bias. American media oftentimes feels a bit fake to me.
@@lilesindiecorner yeah exactly! :) A good a art style tends to age better too.Oh ok, still I can't do that either hah, the writing or reading, so don't belittle your skill :)) Same with even the highest actors etc. sure, speaking as intended to a set plan can go horribly wrong for no apparent reason. I'd be the same, and yeah it does make sense but I also do think US media is objectively more "fake" in many cases, extremely polarised too, so I don't think that's a stretch.
@@SerialPillock That's very true, it can almost be timeless. It can, yes, I try my best 😂 I guess it also depends on what American media we are talking about. Indie prjects - be it games or movies - do also still feel more authentic than a big Hollywood production.
An adventure game! 😊 Nice to see you featuring this one!
You made me aware of it and I really loved it!
Another hidden gem of a game and thanks for showcasing this in your great style.
Thanks for stopping by, Parkera! It is definitely a gem and worth a play!
Digging the art style and what I heard of the intro music.
It‘s something very unique for sure! And yes, the intro song slaps!
@@lilesindiecorner and you provided a top notch review. =)
@@HissyCat naw, thanks Scratch! 🫂
