O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
You did an amazing job singing the national anthem in mikmaq at the Canada Games in Halifax today Kalo, you truely made both Eskasoni & all First Nations Proud today! Kel'uk telat'eken tu's.
If only it was song entirely in this native language. This tells me we really are "the true north, strong and free."

Very nice!! Where can I find a real video of that singer singing this song?
I have it in Mi'kmaq. There is also another version here ua-cam.com/video/fDuGTwXttm8/v-deo.html
Somebody call the NHL. I got an idea.
Only thing is the NHL doesn’t have a team from Nova Scotia
@@jacksongoldenretriever No problem. We'll fly the kid to the mainland.
RobMacKendrick the thing is that wouldn’t make sense. The Ottawa senators honored the natives by signing it in their local native language and the jets honored by singing in Ojibwa. They need a native language that represents a NHL market
Is there not an origin connection between ice hockey and Mi'kmaq?
♦️
i can sing the hole song in micmac
Wel'tek
@MrDakns
It is an indigenous Canadian language, but not an official language of the country.

I think the only lyrics should be in English. Sans francais, nicht michmach.
C'est bien d'exprimer votre opinion. Votre avis est simplement grossier et irréfléchi.
I personally feel the National Anthem should be first sung in the languages of our First Nations, then French, then English.
