O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command. Car ton bras sait porter l'épée, Il sait porter la croix! Ton histoire est une épopée Des plus brillants exploits. God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
In my humble opinion, the Sir Ernest MacMillan version of O Canada is the best I have heard! However, I cannot find it on UA-cam. Does anyone know where to find a recording of it?
This version should be the one played for gold medalists at all Commonwealth and Olympic games and other games where the national anthem is played, do you hear Canadian Olympic Committee.
A perfect rendition of what must be the most perfect national anthem in the world: stirring and majestic in music and word yet succinct in length and equally effective as orchestra only as here or with words... and words anyone can remember and sing.
Holy shoot, this is the arrangement from Vancouver 2010! (I remember it because it was played in almost every corner of downtown Vancouver when the olympics were going on and it was such an amazing piece!)
Awesome! Thank you very much indeed for posting and sharing. Greetings to you and yours in "the True North, strong and free" from the Greater Seattle Area in "the land of the free and the home of the brave": the United States of America.

Very nice. I needed to hear this today. One disappointment, however. I spotted a couple of women who appeared to be of Asian heritage, but didn't see much evidence of any other "visible minorities." Is TSO not part of the great mosaic that Canada is supposed to be? There certainly must be more highly qualified musicians (i.e., this is no plea for quotas or any lowering of standards) from nonwhite communities available - even just in Metro Toronto. I'm afraid this otherwise fine orchestra is just a bit too pale to really be representative of 21st Century Toronto, Ontario and Canada. Where are audition notices posted? Does the orchestra management recruit at all with diversity in mind?
Hi Joe - our audition notices are posted on our website, social channels and other job boards. That being said, the TSO practices what is known as "blind auditions" - you can find out more about it here: www.cbc.ca/news/business/blind-recruitment-marketplace-1.3462061 If you can suggest other places to post auditions, etc. - we'd love to hear from you! We're constantly looking into ways to help bring more diversity to our orchestra and to our audience, so any and all feedback is welcome.
Received our approval to become Permanent Residents of Canada on the 4th of July! CAN'T WAIT!!
Where are all the Americans at watching this video? Love to Canada from USA. ❤

Even though I'm american 🇺🇸, I gotta say Canada 🇨🇦 has a really good anthem.
PillaricGaming both anthems are so good to me. The American one sounds bold yet sincere, and the Canadian sounds so warm.

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra used the same arrangement when they recorded it for the gold medal presentations for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

The TSO should make it a point to play the National Anthem at every show.
Canada - My Blood Brother.
