i got a 135i for 9 years i stopped half way through the vid to point out some facts.. 1.It is definitely lowered on springs 100% 2. the reason the backend is squirmy is because the subframe bushings in the back are the stock squirmy bushing that cause the entire rear subframe to shift like a rubber band effect M3 sub bushings fix this
100% lowered, couldn’t believe there was any doubt from owner.. if it’s H&R springs on stock dampers there’s another reason for the skittish handling, bad combination on these cars
100% agree with you on the subframe bushings did powerflex bushings on my 1 series and I think that with the e92 m3 lower control arms were the best mods I ever did on it.

But i def. looked my cars value new is about 4-5k with 2-3k in mods youre still cheaper than bmw but its all preference really the bmw will last longer you would think since its newer

Omg, I have the same car beautiful Sedona red with manual 6 speed gearbox this car is literally the RHD twin of mine! Remus exhaust I also have a carbon diffuser, trunk lid Wing and the mirror covers, and tinted tail lights expect I have M4 wheels 😍😍😍 the ultimate driving machine

Did a trade for a e46 m3, which felt sooooo slow and handled like a whale. Lads still got my 135i my m3 went years ago. Says it all. Great cars and very rare now
I brought one 1 and 1/2 years ago, knew then that if I was to modify it, I'd start with the Diff, Last night I fitted the brand new Mfactory big diff (It had the small diff), Driven it once in the dry since and it's much better, Now when I have time I'll fit the down pipe's and VRSF 7.5" intecooler and hard pipe, then a tune. Yea I also have a JZA80 2JZ-GTE Supra as well, fun times
The engine in these is phenomenal even stock, however I was let down with the suspension, steering feel and E-diff in these things. You also sit a bit high. It kinda killed any sporty feeling. Doesn't take fact away that it's a rocket in a line
n54 power, I have the n54 335i with the DCT box and I love it to bits. Shame about the reliability but mines been ok (touch wood). Another class review (Y)
@@mikebader3863 there is a run of n54 dcts produced 08-09 pre lci. These may be only European models but I can send you a photo if you want of engine bay and DCT shifter :p
How is the reliability with these n54's? I wanted one but after reading the forum's many say the problems with them, but unbelievable engine sound and power. I would get one in a heartbeat if all those reoccurring problems could be sorted out permanently like the hpfp, coils, wastegate rattle, the valve issue amongst others. Really want a bm indy specialist who could basically fix all the problems with these then I'd buy one straight away
@@TheCinderellaman10 mine was alright - in the 20k miles I had mine only water pump, oil leak and the rest was just things like maintenance items - coils, plugs, oil etc. Think it’s honestly luck of the draw, if you can find one that’s been well looked after and had the big items done then I’d say go for it
I like the headlights I think best looking sleeper car around but I’m bisets as I’ve just bought one because they are great on the petrol if you just cruz around as I’m coming from a v8 I don’t think my dct would do much better so nice turn

People don’t drive these because the N54 engine cost more on maintenance then the car is worth, but when you get them working, they’re in a league of their own
Yeah got a 335i myself and yes the cars high maintenance, plus 500 pound plus road tax, and terrible fuel consumption lol. stuff around the engine mostly needs replacing like water pump, HPFP, wastegate rattle etc, the block itself is quite reliable. When it's sorted it's brilliant though,

The 135i is totally underestimated because it's not as popular as the M2,M3,M4,M5 ect. This will change in the future though, as the 135i catches more people's attention. This car is so slept on at the moment. The 135i is the only real and in my opinion the best BMW since the E30. It's a car for real enthusiast with no needs for eletronic frills in the cockpit.

I love the 1-series coupes, except for the front. I hate how squashed the fronts look. I've seen 1-series cars with a 2-series front conversion. Looks a lot better. The back and sides looks great though, especially love the back of the 1M.
I find the front end much nicer than the 2. They didn’t have as many pedestrian safety regs back then, I love how many vertical surfaces there are on the front of the 1, looks like a baby muscle car. I also prefer the convertible to the coupe, the black top with the small back window makes a 135 look even more muscular IMO

That’s not strictly true. Mines been full bolt ons for 3 years now and it hasn’t had a single problem. But I do maintain it well.
