I too like the look without the spoiler, i love the japanese carculture and it reminds me of the not gtr skylines from this era. like the RB20 skyline etc.

I agree, these new cars are obviously very fast, but they are sterile. The high powered Evo"s Subaru's, Skyline's etc are brutal and raw, you have a real sense of speed. They also have lots more character than the modern cars. This is my opinion.

Very nice camera work at the beginning you can really appreciate the cars beauty and I'm glad to see that you got stuck straight in without spending 10 minutes talking rubbish in the beginning. Also I prefer skylines with the spoiler however this one seems to suit the non spoiler look it looks meaner and has a feel of Darth Vader about it.

I owned and raced a 750hp R34GTR in Australia and owned a few lap records too, this car is super quick, 700hp in a 32GTR with the right turbo is super quick and the 8374 BorgWarner is s special turbo (I think this is what it is?)

Modern GTR's are amazing machines but you have to agree that they don't have nowhere near as much character or charisma as the RB26 engined Skylines. Brake Horse Power is measure by an engine dynamometer without a water pump, alternator, ect. So taking it to a chassis dynamometer will not let him know what his bhp is.
Rolling road will give him the approximate BHp
I wouldn't be surpised if that thing isn't pushing close to 900 bph. goes like a rocket.
So glad the owner said he’ll never sell it, my biggest motoring regret is selling my R32 GTR years ago. Now the yanks have got them flooding in they’re crazy money everywhere else! No chance of ever getting one these days for me.
On the subject of warp speed, one thing that helps is the gearing. It’s the only car I’ve had with a long usable 1st gear. You get a big power evo and it’s all squirt, squirt, squirt through the gears. The GTR makes the most of that power.
Interesting to hear the sound this made when letting off, both of mine did this on twins and stock recircs and just assumed it was the compressor stall and the sound through the recircs and intake but he’s on a big single. It’s definitely a GTR sound so maybe it’s something to do with the throttle bodies shutting at slight variances playing with the sound of the compressor stall. I used to play mine like an instrument... Choo choo choo choo 😂

The standard twins choo choo really nicely i think lol. But obviously with a stiff spring in the BOV, its going to stall the compressor and flutter whatever turbo setup there is, hence the chopping noise. Slightly different noises for slightly different plumbing setups.
The proof is in the name Grant Touring Racer , squirt squirt cars are all rally wannabes reason why it's so different because this r32 comes from the savage late 80s group A 550bhp trim racing against the savage Ford sierras! Nissan needed a new engine and way to get the power down! The cosworth 4 pot was pushing 3 bar boost and could out drag F3 cars in the UK at snett and thruxton on the straights and over 180mph on the mountain in Australia. Nissan pulled out all the stops with the rb26 and all new body with 4wd this dominated and actually ended Group A. Cars from the 80s and 90s rule and will always be the pinical of driving sensation/innovation.
I have a civic ek turbo and my partner has a Renault 5 gtx with carbs , lovely jubbly we will also keep them forever. Once you have a car from this era dont let go!
You will get compressor stall on all cars from this era even stock, bigger turbo , bigger pipes etc bigger choo choo my civic has no BOV and sounds like a rattlesnake when cruising around
