lol...90's Taurus interior..🤣. Don't feel bad Brad since I ride a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO. It is my Domestic Fordaru. All wheel drive in Michigan and closer to 400 HP with a tune. Be well Brad and keep it Ideal! 😏👍
I bought a '99 OCT built in '98 Gen 1 996. 50K w/ new LN ceramic IMS . Water Pump, Clutch, AOS, everything while engine out. Good for another 100K easily. Got to love a good Porsche!!
@@nickgav7390 it may be. I don’t know anything about the car. Personally I don’t like how the car looks. I bet it fun to drive but I’m not into those cars. How much they run for tho?

I think most enthusiasts would say that the 996 is one of the best deals out there. I could live with the headlight design, because the rest of the exterior has such silky smooth flowing lines. I don’t mind the interior at all. Great choice Brad. Congratulations. Now ... with the two Porsches, you really are living the Ideal Lifestyle. Thanks and have a great weekend. Love the video! I actually prefer these headlights over the regular oval ones.. Always have. The one time they actually made something different and interesting than the usual design.
I drove my 996 C4S year round and was passing 4x4s stuck on the side of the road. All that weight behind the rear axle with the constant torque splitting made it a blast to drive and I never got stuck.
Regardless of what state you live in, this is a better car than any Subie by many times over, and I love the Subies too. Waaay better choice. Congrats on the super deal.
Hate to hurt you, but a panamera turbo does a 3.5s 0-60 and is only 30k, of course the lower trims like s or base still had twin turbo v8s and cost under 20k
I had a 996 C4S as a daily for 6 years and sold it for a profit just like my 993 Turbo (993 Turbo was a way bigger profit) we have 4 seasons in New Jersey as well. It was my daily, my track car and my family car, had my kid in the back in a child seat, put blizzacks on it and it was a beast in winter. This and my E90 M3 were my do everything cars. That car was great in the winter as well with winter tires. The interior of the 996 is not the best and if you run up the miles tires and brakes are expensive. I put tens of thousands of miles on mine and no RMS or IMS and I tracked it. Get the manual, so much better than the auto.
Dude! Hello neighbor! I live in Washington too! Just off the I-5 corridor, north of Seattle. Picked up my Dram SUV, a 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Got a good deal on it, and I love it! It’s definitely a High-speed family grocery-getter wrapped in a Fat-Body SUV, but man is it loads on fun to drive on AND off-road! Now I want another Porsche!

I live in WA. Awd makes it much easier but i was really surprised how good a rwd car is with the right tires. Anyway good choice, we have enough subarus here
Anybody can drive a AWD in the winter, but it takes a man to drive a Scatpack in a Colorado Winter. Blizzaks all the way around, 200 pounds in the trunk, I can go almost anywhere...or I just rent a car for a week (cheaper than buying a beater for the 2-ish weeks we have of snow).

If you gave me a Porsche out of warranty I would sell it the next day. As friend, a Porsche master tech told me "you have to be nuts to buy a Porsche out of warranty" Your first repair will wipe that smile off your face.
Great that you got a Porsche instead of a Junk Tesla! When I was in college, I saw a guy with Porsche 944 working with it in students garage. What did he pay for it? $4000. Cool car for very little money - if you know how to fix it yourself!
Congrats! That’s a good deal. Planning on buying a Porsche in the next few years. Also, fun to know that we’re in the same hood! I use that boat launch for my boat.
Greetings from England. Enjoy your widebody to the full. Its turbo chassis and body minus turbo intakes plus brakes and suspension. Personally it looks better with oval tips and turbo 2 alloys.
Not even a question. 996 all day long. STI while cool, still a cheap underwhelming tinny Japanese car. Evo same. 911 solid next level. Definitely raise it, rally conversion.
Congrats on a nice car, plus you got the best looking porsche wheels. Dont worry about head light, they are part of porsche heritage. I almost bought one last spring, but went the 2013 Boss 302 route (summer car)
You stole it! Ive been watching them and a 2004 C4S manual w/ mileage that low, and an IMS that’s been addressed have been selling in the mid 20’s or more. Under $20k is crazy cheap!!! Nice work!
I have the same... and I can tell you... if you cannot do the maintenance yourself... this will ruin youre life if you are going to use it daily.. and have to bring it to a dealer for maintenance... good luck!
I also grew up loving the 996. I was lucky enough to own a 981 Boxter (same front end/headlight styling) in the early 2000’s. I believe that now is the time to get one; waiting a couple years will likely be too late to score a good deal
Mr. Danger! If you're ever having ims anxiety then check out flat 6 innovations of you haven't already, they were started by one of my dad's buddies, and they created a retrofit kit that eliminates the ims issue
Nice vid.. I picked up a well taken care of 996.1 C4 in August. Tried really hard to locate a C4S. If you decide to sell ..Im just right down the road in OR!! ;)
The 996 mk2 is the best looking Porsche. Specially the C4S and the turbo. And don’t forget the GT2. Interior is way much nicer then the new mediamarket look with al the cheap smartphone technology.
Hope there's no IMS issues even with the new motor. And Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed made me like the 996 Turbo and 993. I'd start with the nicest all seasons or two sets of tires.
Well bought. But prepare to throw $ at it. Your watchers might not realize tires will last 15K miles, the suspension will need thousands of bucks as the rubber bits go, there are still various powertrain things that can fail and cost big $ (mostly labor) to fix.
This is a f.. good price, and 70k miles is nothing for a Porsche. I would change the seats, the wheel and front lights with a nice new coating or film, and voilà💥 happy for u, I tried one, it is a great model✨

You stole it! Ive been watching them and a 2004 C4S manual w/ mileage that low, and an IMS that’s been addressed have been selling in the mid 20’s or more. Under $20k is crazy cheap!!! Nice work!
I have the same... and I can tell you... if you cannot do the maintenance yourself... this will ruin youre life if you are going to use it daily.. and have to bring it to a dealer for maintenance... good luck!
I had a 2001 996 Turbo. I miss it.
I want it back.
Congratulations on 450k subscribers 👏🏻
Interior is way much nicer then the new mediamarket look with al the cheap smartphone technology.
dig the lights tho brotha, dgaf if it's not round like the others
Hope there's no IMS issues even with the new motor.
And Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed made me like the 996 Turbo and 993.
I'd start with the nicest all seasons or two sets of tires.
I am proud of you and also the porsha 911 gt2 made me fall in love with porshe, it looks soo cool
With IMS “bomb” defused, that’s a great buy. Don’t lower OR lift; leave as is!
Well bought. But prepare to throw $ at it. Your watchers might not realize tires will last 15K miles, the suspension will need thousands of bucks as the rubber bits go, there are still various powertrain things that can fail and cost big $ (mostly labor) to fix.
Haa, what Wa are you talking about the Seattle area has two seasons wet and dry, it might snow once a year and that only last a day or two!!!
This is a f.. good price, and 70k miles is nothing for a Porsche. I would change the seats, the wheel and front lights with a nice new coating or film, and voilà💥 happy for u, I tried one, it is a great model✨
I needed a daily. I have a lowered lancer. So should I get another lancer? Naaa got my self a montero sport.
Great video! Now that you own a 996 C4S and a 997.1 C2S, which one would you recommend considering the 996s prices are going up closer to 997.1s?
Could have also gotten a B8.5 S5 or S4 would have been an excellent contender for the $20k range
