A few years ago (Pre Covid) when Porsche was making the 991, I counted all the different versions of the 911 that was offered. There was 20. Because I'm such a Porsche nut, I can name all of them from memory. I have a uncle in California who has a 70's 911 SC targa. I've ridden in it, and it's glorious. I was always a bigger fan of the 928. Thank you.
All Porsche models have seen significant increases in their value over the last decade. Even the most unpopular models. The 912, 914 and 924 have seen values climb upwards of 50% or more for cars in varying conditions. The 928, 944 and 968 which were more popular than their little brothers have significantly increased in value and desirability too. More modern Porsche models like the 6 speed manual Cayenne GTS and certain versions of the Boxster and Cayman have been climbing in value. Overall Porsche values have been and are climbing with even brand new models becoming more valuable after being purchased. It’s crazy how much prices have changed.
So, I'm listening to this while sitting in a Mercedes AMG SL63 roadster. I like German cars that are made in Germany. Things I like about this video: the composition, the style, the music... (Especially the Mario music) this is great. I hope this channel blows up. I watch almost all the Donut media videos, and they don't really compare to this. Keep up the great work!
I agree. I’ve seen the donut videos as well, and although you do get a large dose of content, you don’t get the straight to the point details. The rest is just fluff questionable entertainment. This has that streamlined, sleek, nostalgic 90’s era feel, which is why I am a big fan.
As a former owner of two air-cooled 911s, I can tell you that the present market for the older cars is based more than anything on nostalgia, and not on the driving experience. A new car is so much easier to drive and more comfortable. Air conditioning that works. Power steering. A better ride. Better sound system. It's just better in every way.
As a current owner of a 1986 Carrera 3.2 l beg to differ. Nothing in today's market compares to the visceral driving experience an air cooled 911 offers and all at under the speed limit. The engagement and feedback is hard to match on any new car. It's why it's called a driver's car. If you want to feel like a passenger while driving buy a Tesla
@@watda011 You haven't driven the 992. I have. There's plenty of feedback. And I put 60,000 miles in a Carrera 3.2, in all kinds of conditions. I'd never go back. @@GarthGoldberg are you seriously trying to compare the drivability of a 1986 carrera to a 2019 992? You're definitely not a Porsche guy. You could never get a 3.8 RS or RSR for that matter, 10 yrs ago for 20 grand....🤨 Maybe a demolished parts car. The first 930 Turbo came out in 1975 and are all dated 1975! This RSR was bought new from Porsche's special wishes program and he bought 4 of them. The silver RSR & three are 964 TurboS's one white, one silver and one this super dark blue, almost purple beautiful color. All 4 have the speedline wheels and he had the centers painted the Porsche color Amethyst. All 4 have full roll cages and all 4 interiors are wrapped in red leather. Everything is wrapped in leather too! The stereo knobs, the roll cages... everything. Guy had money and great taste.....👍🏁🏁
I'm not a Porsche guy! And I never said you could get an RSR for 20 grand, just a regular classic 911. Thanks for watching! I appreciate the knowledge!
Yeah the GT1 starts with a production line chassis. So there's more than just headlights. 935's are museum pieces? You know race tracks still exist right? Maybe Google historic races. Like the ones in Monterey, LeMan, Monaco etc. Are you actually an enthusiast or just a UA-camr?
In the history lesson I discuss the creation of the RS and subsequent RSR, the bespoke nature of it's specification, and then in the pricing segment I show the exact upward trend of prices that led to the RSR sale for 2.45 million. I'm really not sure how else I could explain it any better.
Would you take 1 RSR 3.8 or 14 911 GT3s? 😂
I’d buy a CGT, 959 Etc all the rarer porsches that cost less
I would take the Yoshida special 930 turbo
14 911 GT3s, from each era. And if there's any change left, a base Carrera to daily.

The watercooled cars are following very quickly.
Innsbruck is a city in Austria, not germany
is something wrong with your mic?
I just have a lot of echo in my garage. We're not big enough to have a studio space or a shop so we're trying our best with what we have!
@@albonfilms it sounds like a vocoder or something--really weird
Cool vid, but I have to ask... who is Bobby Raw-haul? LOL
"Ray-Hal!" I had a 50/50 chance of getting it right but I guess I picked the wrong one! Thanks for watching!
@@albonfilms Not a racing fan, eh? ;)
I
Commenting for the algorithm!!
Appreciate you!
@@albonfilms aye gotta support this content keep it up!
Ayoo once I got the money I wanna make a deal for your Alfa😔
Didn't mention the 911 GT rarest 993 only 57 where built. 5 is at 🇵🇭
Making me want to get a 911 later on now😂😂😂
Haha me too!
😩😩😩😩 I want a Porsche so baddddd but I ended up getting an rx7 🤣🤣
Innsbruck by the way is in austria
Yes, you are absolutely correct! At the time Austria was annexed by Nazi Germany and called Anschluss, but nevertheless is still Austria! Great catch!
@@albonfilms ✌️
I see that mk4 in the backround
:O
At least air-cooled Porsches are still attainable unlike certain Japanese sports cars
Still expensive though!
I mean these is a 930 turbo with almost 800k miles that’s been daily driven for over 40 years so you should be fine with a 245,000 mile 911
You tell me when you could ever buy an original VIN 911 3.8 RSR in any condition? BTW, the 911GT1 is worth quite abit more than this.
thank you for pronouncing porsche right ;)
I’m an idiot to not buy a 930 turbo 12 years ago. Bought a 997 as sensible choice.
As long as you're enjoying yourself, you mad le the right choice!
Is it me?
Or is the American dollar starting to lower in value
Everything’s getting more expensive
Buying power is going down because of material costs and inventory shortages!
Great history lesson, i have never known so much about the 356, but now i am an expert
Thank you for watching!
Yeah the GT1 starts with a production line chassis. So there's more than just headlights. 935's are museum pieces? You know race tracks still exist right? Maybe Google historic races. Like the ones in Monterey, LeMan, Monaco etc. Are you actually an enthusiast or just a UA-camr?
good to know I'll never be able to afford any of my dream cars.
Buy one in Europe they are way cheaper, better quality. But that out of autotempest reach
Ten years ago you couldn't get one for 20k lol
A car can NEVER ve sold for more than its original price
End of conversation
It's either a 930 or a 911 Turbo, never 930 Turbo.
I don’t understand. This is Porsche history lesson. I didn’t find any point that answers the titles question....
In the history lesson I discuss the creation of the RS and subsequent RSR, the bespoke nature of it's specification, and then in the pricing segment I show the exact upward trend of prices that led to the RSR sale for 2.45 million.
I'm really not sure how else I could explain it any better.
Bro you NEED to apply at donut, they’re looking for a new face
We're doing pretty good by ourselves! Love Donut, but I like doing my own thing better!
Poor long man (dutch guy)
