Sadguru for some reason gets agitated when confronted but u can't see him express those suppressed emotions but it's clearly visible on his face, he slightly loses his composure and gets uncomfortable. I'm not taking anything away from his yoga courses(minus few expensive ones), to be honest I have done inner engineering and those few weeks were very relaxing which after few weeks i couldn't continue my practice and eventually forgot the entire process. What I can't stand is bullshiting people and sometimes Sadhguru does that.

@bvb_3 Javed is a man of belief but Sadguru is a man of faith n spirituality which are debris of religion. Belief has logic and witnesses but faith is void of logic. Sadguru tells you something through his mind, things which have no logic or rationality to support it. Sadguru also has the same limitations as others, so he cannot see something beyond what others cannot. If you have faith in something that means you have given up on your own senses. If you have belief in something, that is built upon empirical evidence. So a belief cannot be false unless the logic behind it is false. So it is Javed who clearly differentiates between faith and belief. Sadguru should follow his own advice, if doesn't know something he should admit it without shame. Instead of doing so, spiritual Guru's have answers of all the things. Show me one video of sadguru where he admitted not knowing something.

Accumulation is Sadhguru's experience which javed has no idea about. It is like Fish questioning over existence of air. Either you've to give a visible/tangible proof or you're wrong. What Sadhguru says is open your mind to possibilities. A class 3 student can not be commenting about PhD syllabus. You have to give efforts in terms of years to understand what you don't know. Listening to both men closely, I can see there is a common sense of the need to be reasonable. They may differ in approach, terminology and personal disposition but they both agree to seek out that which they do not know and to understand the world beyond that which meets the eye.

Spiritual process gives you something which you are seeking always and that is fulfillment. It makes you stable and more comfortable. If you meditate regularly you wil have some kind of deeper and blissful experiences which you will find difficult to explain bcoz for eg if someone has not tasted milk in his whole life you can't explain him the taste all you can do is give him milk to drink thats what spiritual process is. A method or a way to move inward and gain the bliss. Sadguru is living that comfort and ease all the time as you can notice his behaviour. He is an all time smiling and a chilled man. And that is what spiritual process can make you.there is no meaning of any kind of argument or debate on spirituality bcoz it is going to sound complete nonsense to you because you don't have any kind of experience of it. First time i saw this video, i found Javed saab arrogant, foolish and rigid. His whole presentation appeared very annoying to me, at that time. I was always skeptical about spiritual dimensions, i kept on enquiring about existence, both external and internal. Not only eastern theistic and atheistic philosophies, Vedic, non Vedic, but also came across few western philosophers who enquired into the same area. Still am an agnostic, an agnostic atheist to be precise. Recently, once again i watched this video, I found Javed Akhtar more convincing and rational than what i realised before. It is all about mindset, what we want to see/listen/perceive, things will appear in that particular way in front of us. Human psychology is very complex, don't arrive at a particular point of judgement so easily.

Sadguru for some reason gets agitated when confronted but u can't see him express those suppressed emotions but it's clearly visible on his face, he slightly loses his composure and gets uncomfortable. I'm not taking anything away from his yoga courses(minus few expensive ones), to be honest I have done inner engineering and those few weeks were very relaxing which after few weeks i couldn't continue my practice and eventually forgot the entire process. What I can't stand is bullshiting people and sometimes Sadhguru does that.

Belief has logic and witnesses but faith is void of logic. Sadguru tells you something through his mind, things which have no logic or rationality to support it.
Sadguru also has the same limitations as others, so he cannot see something beyond what others cannot.
If you have faith in something that means you have given up on your own senses. If you have belief in something, that is built upon empirical evidence. So a belief cannot be false unless the logic behind it is false.
So it is Javed who clearly differentiates between faith and belief.
Sadguru should follow his own advice, if doesn't know something he should admit it without shame. Instead of doing so, spiritual Guru's have answers of all the things. Show me one video of sadguru where he admitted not knowing something.

Listening to both men closely, I can see there is a common sense of the need to be reasonable. They may differ in approach, terminology and personal disposition but they both agree to seek out that which they do not know and to understand the world beyond that which meets the eye.

Sadhguru, a person who uses science terminologies to explain his beliefs, cannot have any point. Javed is perfectly sensible. In one interview he perfectly explained 'I am atheist, because I think!" and yes that's so simple and clear. He should not have wasted his time with this conman.

"Looks like I am not even being heard"... That line has so many layers. It is amazing how Sadhguru have his single liner comebacks. It was a comment on the problem Javed sahab had hearing the panelists. It is unfair to Javed sahab that he was being made to debate someone without making sure he is able to hear properly. Which otherwise could have concluded very nicely...
Spiritual process gives you something which you are seeking always and that is fulfillment. It makes you stable and more comfortable. If you meditate regularly you wil have some kind of deeper and blissful experiences which you will find difficult to explain bcoz for eg if someone has not tasted milk in his whole life you can't explain him the taste all you can do is give him milk to drink thats what spiritual process is. A method or a way to move inward and gain the bliss. Sadguru is living that comfort and ease all the time as you can notice his behaviour. He is an all time smiling and a chilled man. And that is what spiritual process can make you.there is no meaning of any kind of argument or debate on spirituality bcoz it is going to sound complete nonsense to you because you don't have any kind of experience of it. The only way to know is to get involve in it and see the change.

I also agreed with quite few points of Javed Akter there regarding the human mind, as we humans can not see and sense infrared, UV, X-rays, gravitational waves, ultrasound but we have made gadgets that help us to feel these and other things which are beyond our boundaries. And hence I feel Akhtar is angry at him because he already assumed sadhguru as a fraud who is fooling people for money which is not true, because those who are on losing side tend to act vigorously as per "common sense". Trust me none of them belongs to a class 1 standard. 6/7 years ago, I first started following Sadhguru. He just changed the way i used to look at things. Immidiately i became a great admirer of him. First time i saw this video, i found Javed saab arrogant, foolish and rigid. His whole presentation appeared very annoying to me, at that time. I was always skeptical about spiritual dimensions, i kept on enquiring about existence, both external and internal. Not only eastern theistic and atheistic philosophies, Vedic, non Vedic, but also came across few western philosophers who enquired into the same area. Still am an agnostic, an agnostic atheist to be precise. Recently, once again i watched this video, I found Javed Akhtar more convincing and rational than what i realised before. It is all about mindset, what we want to see/listen/perceive, things will appear in that particular way in front of us. Human psychology is very complex, don't arrive at a particular point of judgement so easily.

Now I'm an agnostic, and I pretty much know for sure how it all works. Javed sir is incomparable because he has 2 most powerful tools on his side - critical thinking and simple common sense logic.
