There was some movie on force conversion of Indian females using love jihaad and it was not released due to heavy protests while PK was a hit! Mulk was a hit and all such movies where either Hindu religion is defamed or all Muslims are not bad ideology is followed are always hit. (OMG is another example, why main character had to be atheist Hindu?) Problem is Bollywood and their propaganda, they know they’ll get away with it. All eyes on raffah but no eyes on Bangladesh? 1000s of such cases we have seen in past. Not one mainstream actor has spoken on West Bengal case if the victim was a Muslim and it affect their agenda we would have seen their posts a lot. Every other Movie shows a "MUSLIM" as a terrorist. No non Muslim will be shown as a Terrorist. To the point that now people who dress up Islamically, people associate that too with terrorism outfit and start mocking Muslims. They even mock Muslim Women for wearing Burkha and call all kinds of names. We tolerate everything, but when they start disrespecting God or His Messengers, we don't take it casually unlike you people who have no backbone. But I don't promote people who take laws in their own hands. It's totally against Islam to react the way Muslims do when the Prophet ﷺ is disrespected. I am totally against it. And so am I against mocking or making blasphemous statement against our Prophet. And even against those who disrespect other people's gods.
I just think it's because bollywood lacks a variety or maybe it's aware that the viewers are not ready for it. In malayalam films, Christianity is ridiculed as much as Hinduism is. Yes Islam is not very much included in the picture, but there are movies that do not hesitate to jab the absurd religious sentiments in the right place. Maybe there is a propaganda, Maybe I'm in the dark, but since i was exposed to movies that had cultural and religious variety, PK just seemed like a movie that happened to focus on the scummy behaviour that takes place in a faith that's practiced by the majority.
