In each of his movies, we have a hero, who is unique and loved by everyone. Who have the solution of every problem. Then that is mixed with emotion and comedy.
Like MURLI in munnabhai series, Rancho in 3 idiots, and he tried the same thing with SRK's character in Dunki.
PK was the only movie where we saw something different.

The topic was good, but the way Hirani set up the movie was crap.
He did not even depict the Dunki process in a proper manner.
The comedy was average. The emotions were almost non-existent apart from some few scenes.
Its really not controversy, its the extreme hindus who cannot handle even the slightest of criticism of their own religion and yes im hindu. This movie never disrespects any of the religions! Another movie that got under controversy is the recent Maharaj film even though it talks of a true event
You should be able to watch movies of this types without some extremists trying to stop you

With how big of a deal religion is in India, of course this movie is controversial - but as far I'm concerned, this movie isn't necessarily asking people to become atheists, it's just asking people to not believe anything when it comes to religion, and not let it cause unnecessary conflicts in our life - considering how many religious crimes and scams India has, and how much taboo is there in marrying someone who's not your religion, they are very real issues.

It's actually more than Kashmir, it is Kargil war, and then constant attacks by Pakistani army on India and some terror attacks as well. We know it is not done by normal people of Pakistan but there are many people in Pakistan that support those attacks (proof is available) so Indians are bit hesitant to interact with Pakistani's it's nothing personal.
About the movie - it asks questions on certain practices and divide with religion. I personally believe it is good thing to question our faith, we should not be too sensitive for everything.

U might listen different debate on this movie because this movies took an extreme cinematic liberty on a sensitive topic to convey their point. And also when u think of a whole movie seems like one religion was more highlighted (ofcourse it is the majority religion in the country) but the concern of the people is it might mislead foreigners on a subconscious note who doesn't know much about india
No other religion than Hinduism allows this much criticism and people take advantage of it..there would be riots if they criticised the abrahmic religions to use as an example instead. I dont disagree with the corrupt practices of some “babas” etc who try to profit in the name of religion but again thede types of people exist in every religion.
