As we near 2021, Might get this desk for my self too. Thank you for the idea!
Awesome!
thanks for the review. wanted to see how the desk looked with a pc on top! good video
Awesome! Thanks for watching
Hey one question are you in the uk if you are can you deliver it cause it says I can’t or do I have to go in ikea
Ghostly RB if you are asking me I haven’t ordered it yet, but all deliveries are £35 I believe, if they aren’t delivering it might be due to lack of stock or something
Raspi Lee it say it’s in stock thanks for the answer anyways :)
Raspi Lee it says it’s on belfast
I built my malm dresser 2 days ago and it looks so good with the LED lights.
I just wish Ikea had solid block dressers kind of like the solid white ones. All the black dressers have a wooden look and texture but I wanted a cleaner look.
thanks for reviewing this desk man, i'm definitely gonna grab it
No problem. I still have it now, and it's still in top shape.
@@smokeyd300 what about now?
Oh my god. This desk is lit and the review is awesome! :D I will definitely buy it in the future
Glad you liked it, thanks for commenting!
Great review thank you very much I was thinking about ordering it but now I am for sure! 👍
Thanks for the comment, I'm glad I can help!
New setup is great 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Thanks, I love how it looks! :)
Nice desk! I'm getting it also in white so i can put a small keyboard and MPC on the pullout section.
I was thinking of buying the malm without the pullout panel, but now i see that its nice from your review, thanks bro i appreciate it, Your Brother From Kuwait
I was looking for it without the panel but cant find it?
I love the roll out
Great video !! Getting this desk 🤗
Very nice. It's been about 2 years now and I'm typing this at this desk right now. It's great!
Tank you SO MUCH I was schearching for a desk and i want this one but idk if i can put pc + 2 monitor TANKS
u man!
My man after all this years the desk did bend?
After all these years, this desk has held up nicely! I show it off on my latest video. It's still going strong :)
I was looking at that desk and it’s good to see that it’s as good as I thought it was. I just don’t like that I wouldn’t be able to put a boom arm for my mic in the back of the desk
You could just get a white lack table for the printer
Yes, I'll probably do that.
I recommend to sit your desktop PC on the small table next to your IKEA malm, that IKEA desk is made of cardboard you will see a bit bending if you put anything more than 10kg on top of it on prolonged use.
only thing i don’t like about this desk it the fact take you can’t clamp a monitor arm on it. do you thing i could maybe like use a saw and just part of the cable management shelf thing to clamp an arm on?
No, I think you can actually clamp a monitor arm even with the cable management thing bc I saw a dude with the exact same desk who clamped a monitor arm on the desk.
Would you need a drill for the assembly? 👉👈 I love it but I'm a novice at assembling.
Just a screwdriver, no drills. But it helps to have a 2nd person for help. Some parts require 2 people, 1 to hold, 1 to screw.
thanks. ima buy
It looks good.
Thanks 😁
Is the top piece particle board or hardwood? Sounded really sturdy when you knocked on it. Long story short, can you use a dual monitor mount on the desk?
Nice Video i was thinking about getting this desk good review
Can this desk be used to mount a monitor on it
I guess yes but you will have to take out the board on the back of the desk (the cable management area) then you can be able to plug it in and mount the monitor
Great video! Could you tell me the width and height (from the floor) of the sliding part. Thanks!
where did you get the purple alien?
On Amazon, just search for Alien Hologram and you should see some options
Hey, Nerdish with your malm pull out desk, can you assemble the pull out drawer on the right side instead?
Yes you can
@@smokeyd300 thank you so much!
i have this desk for my gaming set up and was wondering do you know how to mount a monitor on this desk since the cable management block underneath prevents a mount from being screwed under there?
I still have the desk and I've recently been wondering the same thing. It'll probably requre some modifications. You can get a mount that gets drilled on the desk but that's permanent.
Is it short? It looks really really short 😯
Nah it's actually a normal height. Most desks I see are a similar height
What's your keyboard?
It's the Razer Blackwodow X Chroma Tournament Edition.
It's from 2017, and I no longer have it. There are newer models. It's a great keyboard!
Great vid 👍🏻
Harry maguire is that you ?
I really don't see it. I'm a United fan and hear that all the time 😂
Awesome video I really wanted to see how a desk would look like with moniter Nd a Pc
I have the exact same
Nice!
HI im getting the same table but i want to buy an extra drawer unit but im not sure if a 70 cm would fit inside the desk, the desk measurement is 73cm but i have no idea how thick it is. could you please measure yours and let me know please would be a big help!
Can i clamp my monitor stand at the back?
Because of the cable routing space, most of the back is covered. You won't be able to clamp it back there unless you make some modification.
@@smokeyd300 can I remove the coverd part at the back ?
QUESTION: Are there brakes on the wheels? If not, how loose does the pull out panel feel? Or is it stable?
It's not that loose, you still have to pull it out. It doesn't move on its own or anything,
Does it shake when your playing games, kind of a random question but I really want to get it but I want it to be very sturdy.
Hey man are you able to take out the extension part? To where only the main part is there?
Yea, that's how I've been using it lately. You can also choose what side to put it on.
@@smokeyd300 thank you!
shouldve put the pull out thing on the right instead
How is the quality? Is it solid/stable? Does it woble around?
It's been very solid and stable, there is some really light wobbling, but that's only when I'm moving stuff around like my super heavy computer. When using for work, homework, gaming, and everyday tasks, it holds up nicely.
True black one looks better lnao
I have to check it out
im sorry for being that late, but can you measure how thick the table top ist?
Can you put a monitor arm on the desk? How thick is it?
It's about 2 inches thick. You can put a monitor arm for sure. However, it might need a bit of customization on since the cable tray gets in the way. You can remove it altogether if you like.
is it paper men?
QUESTION: will a 23.6 in * 11.8 in mouse pad fit perfectly if not what extended mouse pad will you recommend
Hi ! What is the thickness of the upper set?( 150cm x 65 )
hey bro, do you think this could hold a monitor arm for two monitors?
Will it hols my PC and monitor without breaking?
It has held my heavy PC, 2 monitors and a few other items for almost 3 years now and it's still going strong!
@@smokeyd300 I have a similar setup. any sag in the middle? Do I need to install a leg?
Can you change the position of the moveable piece from left side to right side?
Yes you can, and it's pretty simple too.
helpfull
Glad it helped, thanks for commenting. I'm still using the desk today :)
am thinking about buying this desk but I do not know if it is durable and good?
I've had it for over 2 years now, I still use it with my PC and monitor on top and it's held up very well. I've also taken good care of it.
Yes
Yes
great video! i am wanting this desk but cannot find a certain measurement i need :( can you pretty please see what the floor to underside of the table clearance is?
My g...go to the IKEA website and look at this desk it tells you all the measurements
@@therealblackjesus_7491 it doesn't actually tell you that measurement but thanks for your unnecessarily rude comment!
Sherry how was I rude? I was literally just trying to help you 🤷♂️💀
should be ~68.5 cm (including the rubber tips), and ~49cm for the space under the cable tray (including the rubber tips).
I HAVE A QUESTION is there enough room when the pc is there or does it feel cramped?
Keep in mind that my PC and monitor are huge. They don't feel crammed. They actually fit very well in my opinion.
Nerdish YT ok thanks 😃
That desk looks way too small for what you're trying to fit onto it.
It's actually quite spacious and handles the weight well. I try to keep it as open as possible.
i’m looking at this desk for a work from home situation, i really like the pull out part to save space, from the back of the desk to the front of the pull out, how deep is it? i’m not seeing that information on the website, just the desk depth
I don't know that... But since the desk drawers are 60cm deep I would assume that the actual top is about 61cm
The full depth is around 54 inches, if you click on product size on the ikea website it should have a diagram with all of the dimensions.
It pulls out 135 cm from the back of the main desk, but if you mean the depth of the pull out desk, I'm trying to find out the same thing! Quite frustrating that it doesn't say on the website.
@@zylenxavier-hendrix657 I did mean the pull out, very annoying! I ended up not getting the job I needed it for anyway so it’s alright
@@jacee1999 Oh okay :)
Hi! Good video! Cam you say me if the desk can be assembled without the corner piece? Thanks
Yes it can, I wanted to do that too, but the corner piece is very practical, you can also choose the side of the desk you want it on while building
@@tridium8923 thank you!
Do you think you could remove the Slider side piece with no issues? I just want the main desk on it's own
Yes you can. You don't have to have installed. It's actually one of the last steps in assembly.
Nerdish YT awesome thanks for the reply 👍
Can the pull-out draw thing go on the other side of the desk on the right
Yes it can
Can you move the extension?
Yes, the extension can go on either side or you can completely remove it if you don't want it. I no longer use it on my desk.
how big is the white and black monitor?
The white monitor is 32 inches, too big in my opinion.
The black one is 21 inches.
The sweet spot for most people is 24 to 27 inches
@@smokeyd300 aight, thanks
Is the pull out part separate from the actual desk
It's an attachment that comes with the desk. You can install it on whatever side or not at all. It's not required.
Is the 28inch of height for gaming set up
whats the depth of the extension?
Thanks for the review. I have a question though, with sliding panel can you take it off if you really wanted to..?
Probably not but there is another malm desk with no sliding panel just a little side table that you can put something on
Oh you were talking about this desk he has I think you don’t need it but there’s one with the drawers that you can put stufff in
Does anyone know if the filing cabinet fits underneath?
How much pounds can this desk hold?
And replace your battery in your smoke detector. 🤣
they sell 9volts at ikea as well.
Haha yea
Has this desk help up well?
Very well
Do you have to install the pull out part?
It's an option. You don't have to if you don't like it.
Is it easy to move the desk around
Yes, it's actually easy to move around. I have a 30 pound computer and other stuff on it and i can slide it around as long as I use a bit of force. It does not move if your accidentally bump it. It's strong enough to stand firmly, but not too heavy to the point where it can't be moved.
Is it possible to put the pullout part on the right side?
Yes, both sides have the cutouts to attach it.
@@smokeyd300 Yeah! That perfectly fits my room layout then
What car did you use to transport the items? I have a B segment sedan, not sure if it will fit.
I have a 2004 Mazda 3 sedan. Small car but the back seats go down. I still had room to fit a dresser.
hey one question does the extension push back the whole way? or does it stay out that little bit ?? thanks
It stays out that little bit
is it durable?
Yes as long as you take care of it. I've had it for 2 years now with about 60 lbs above with my PC and monitor and it's holding up nicely. I've been careful with it. However, it can be prone to scratches, dents, and stains if you're not.
1 question, is the top table surface 100% smooth?
Yes is it
@@smokeyd300 I mean, i see and read a few reviews talking the surface of black and wood model, have got little holes, making difficult to write/draw sometimes, but white model seems more smooth
Tnx for answering
Can you take the left thing that slide?????? Pls responded
Yes. It's not necessary to have it on. You can also move it to the other side.
Is your 150x 65? Cuz I sow a small Zeus of it in ikea
Size*
Yo how do assemble it. The instruction is fucked up.
I live there
Nice!
How much cm is the extendable table?
It’s on the IKEA website my guy
What monitor is it?
Samsung CF391
Ur a handsome man aswell lol
😂😂
مخييييس🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
ikea bad
Some of their products might be poorly made. However, I still use this desk after 2 and a half years and it's still looking great.
How big is it in the metric system?
what size of monitors?
32 inch and 21 inch
@@smokeyd300 so should I assume dual 24” monitors and a case can fit? But for dual 27” monitors and case, ı need longer desk?
