Я случайно нашла CD disk with Maximum security.
Some 32 years ago I heard this tune on the Friday Rock Show, recorded it on a tape and played it to death that year. I then taped over it by mistake and haven't heard it since. I've searched high and low for this tune for the last 32 years and finally tracked it down tonight. Emotional wouldn't even come close to describe the first listen through with any justice. Epic tune, thank you Tony.
I personally know Tony is a great guy, he was my neighbor across the street from me for over 15 years when I was a teenager and he was a few years older. We used to hang out and play guitar on the porch. Great guitar and piano player, his father and sisters were all so talented. Tony should always be mentioned in the same conversation as Eddie Van Halen, yngwie malmsteen, Steve via, BB King and all the greats !
Tony is one of the best! Met him once at a local guitar store. I asked him, how are you SO GOOD at both guitar AND PIANO?! He said, I played all the time, I literally had no social life. Such a nice guy to talk with.

Funny how people never talk about how he was also one of the top session muscians on keyboards back in the 80's. Just look at Vinnie Moore's 'Minds Eye' for an example.
@Rough Boy That'd be like trying to choose one's favorite daughter, wouldn't it? There are so many of his songs that just hit that "spot", you know what I mean? And even sometimes Tony will just hit a single note, a single perfect note that could be no different, and I'm like Salieri in the movie Amadeus obsessively rewinding and listening to it a dozen times. But I hear that "Joe" guy can play. His buddy Steve, too, I hear. :)
@Rough Boy Wow, that was nice. I remember when How got signed, after Tony, and I assumed he just released that one album. I read a funny interview with him where he said he learned to play Eruption WITHOUT TAPPING at the end, because he simply didn't know that Eddie was tapping :) He said it was kind of rough, but he could play it...
Timeless indeed! Just like Allan Holdsworth's Proto Cosmos, John Petrucci's Glassgow Kiss, Steve Vai's For The Love Of God, Joe Satriani's Satchboogie, Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Far Beyond The Sun, etc.
@@The_Archvile 🤔 You probably know it already, but Vinnie Moore's first album has MacAlpine on keys + Tommy Aldridge on drums and it's *SICK* from end to end! ☮️+💜+🎶
The way Tony plays is an unteachable art that all the practice in the world cannot achieve. He not only writes beautiful songs, he composes these ethereal dreamscapes. Just one listen and a Tony Macalpine song replays itself in your head for days and days with their hauntingly sublime, beautiful melodies paired with unspeakably lush chord voicings and an absolutely merciless shred game. His creativity and sense of melody is simply....3D. It's not even fair to compare him to other neo-classical shredders of the era because even the best offerings from among them can easily sound like standard, one dimensional, dungeons and dragons type Bach rock. You'd have to have been of age during the '80s Shrapnel Records days. The guy may be a jerk, but no one can deny that Yngwie Malmsteen was probably the most influencial post-Van Halen guitarist of all time. Tony owes nothing musically to Malmsteen, but I I think he did create the market.
