This has to be the best sounding version of this song in my opinion. One of my favorite Tony MacAlpine songs. The whole Maximum security album is a Gold medal album.
Brutal...just brutal.
i like so much maximun security !! the best of tony !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BEST NEO CLASSIQUE ALBUM OF ALL TIME IS MAXIMUN SECURITY FOR ME
Sorry, it doesn’t even come close to its original version. Also on the original George part was way much better than this one. Nillie (I think that’s her name) is good but she’s no George.
@@Actaruz drum part here is significantly better
Tony MacAlpine % 100 musician, underrated player... This is a song from heaven!
Soothing
Nilly Rocks
Save some cheek for everyone
And he is the best teacher I’ve ever seen
MacAlpine, Steve Lukather from Toto and Roy Buchanan are my top 3 underrated guitar players
Amazing! Aquiles Incredible as ever! And Nili so talented!
Aquiles is a beast!
Tony is definitely one of the most tasteful shredders out there.
i agree, in the 80s i always thought his phrasing and note choices stood out in a positive way. i didn't learn his stuff just because i wanted to appreciate it from a listeners view point. one of the few tecnical players with musical talent.
+Con Petersen I would also include jason becker in that analysis!
+WeWantYouToStay jason becker was not only talented(still is) but tecnically amazing as well
+Con Petersen indeed, always thought his songwriting skills were on another level to most shredders
i wish modern players had that spark. i guess modern singers too. everyone sounds generic nowadays. must be getting old or something.
Awesome performance by ALL! Aquiles Priester…..one of my favorite drummers! I gave him a ride to his hotel before a gig years ago when he was on tour with MacAlpine, and he was so cool to invite me in for soundcheck, then gave me a pair of his signature drumsticks. Tony was very nice too and signed items for me too. Great times!
Just two things to say, Tony & Nili!! So awesome!!!
I hosted Tony back in the day at my music store for a guitar clinic. At the time, Tony was endorsing Hughes & Kettner amps. Never met a nicer guy and he had such a great sense of humor! Monster player! 👍
Devin thats awesome. Legend.
I agree 💯 I first met Tony when he was endorsing Washburn guitars it was an honor to meet him and get some great tips from a master .
Springfield Represent!
Micalpin got his frist start with stev via hes a great gaturist
Nili is a definite contender for best female rock guitarist in the world . Goosebumps watching and listening to this ! Drums amazing too.
Nobody could play that part like George Lynch but Nili does a fantastic job in her own style, sounds wonderful
Totally agree. Nobody phrases quite like George Lynch, but she does a great job with it.
Aquiles Priester on drums !!! My favorite T Mac Alpine song.
Aquiles sounds awesome here!!! Better than in Angra!!! Really loved it. It was a great surprise to me!!!!
He kind of reminds me of Vinny moore
@@loudenvier sorry , but Aquiles is the best in Angra ,and Angra far away better than this band
@@edicius7009 no need to be sorry, that's a matter of opinion. As a long long long time fan of Angra, attending their many shows here in Brazil I don't even like their sound anymore... For me they lost relevance nowadays. I just listen to theirs old albums...
@@loudenvier lost Kiko lost aquiles lost relevance , nowadays I prefer Edu band more than new Angra
Vinnie Moore and Tony Mac Alpine, two of my favourite and tastiest of shredders.
Me too
I don't have idea of who you are. But THANK YOU SO FUCKING (1000x) for say Vinnie Moore at your comment. I didn't knew him until I read your comment. I'm so happy for discover him. It's amazing. Thank angel from another world, dimension, galaxy, wherever you came from.
Lol the current song in my winamp is In Control by Vinnie Moore.
Tony has some awesome keyboard solos on lots of Vinnie's songs.
Vinnie Moore can be the most unique guitar player ever lived. He can play blues, rock, metal, shred, sweeps even flamenco. Paul Gilbert and Vinnie Moore are my guitar heros.
Back in 88 I played the shit outta this album.(Maximum Security). This one of the best on the album. All are just so Melodic!! On the album George Lynch plays the part Nils is...Killer collaboration
Yes indeed. Every thing you just said. I loved that album. There’s a couple on there, like this one, that just timeless.
Same here!! wore a complete hole in the vinyl...this is top shelf playing.
Same! Still have the damn cassette tape too lol
Been listening to Tony Macalpine for 30 years and he was a beast back then. Congrats to Nili for being a part of this. Great tune. Every instrument compliments the next.
Apart from the music being great and bring me many memories, and also the fact that Tony is in another league, everyone in this band had improvements in their careers after being in contact with Tony. He makes sure that everyone around him is known for their merit. This is Tony. He doesn't want to be alone above all of us. Great human being! And that's why he will win all the adversities in his life.
Wish I knew him in person. All my old friends are drunks and druggies :-(
This definitely deserves more views. Tony is a legend and the band members here did a phenomenal job. All of them. Rebirth of a classic from my childhood
He's a melody master! Not word, can define this genius!
When both guitarist are looking at their hands you know it's about to go down... Thank you for your art Tony, the world doesn't deserve you.
Killer Band!!! Tony n Nili shreds, Pete dropping the bass, and Aquiles just rips those drums.
Four absolutely great musicians. It doesn't get much better than these four. Rock talent today is nowhere close to this level.
What a feelin’ in this Tony MacAlpine song, such precision, it’s outrageous! He’s one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. His technique and feelin’ are one-of-a-kind!
This is one the songs that just take the wind out of you. Very melodic, technical and just damn awesome. Nili Brosh is amazing! She can totally keep up with Tony! Best pair on stage!
after 30 years, still my favorite instrumental song
The cancer diagnoses for him and his wife is so unfortunate and sad. I hope they can both fully recover. Bad things always seem to happen to the best people.
+KyleJPie10 I think the cancer is like an award for the ones who do some good in this world, cause everyone I know who is great had cancer. \m/ (and survived!)
Agreed...long may you prosper and be well:)
How do you figure he is the "best people"?
Just hear that master piece, anyone who is able to compose and interpretate something like that is doing a big change in this world, music is magic. :)
I think he was talking about McAlpine's playing/music. But way to go with the total dickwad douchebag fucktard comment.
this is the song that you hear either during or after doing something momentous like conquering the world or beating a really hard boss fight.
As a gamer i'm the last fits me most
Or on the last 200 feet to summit Mount Rainier!
God bless you Tony! So beautiful!
Absolutely amazing emotive piece from a legend of metal instrumental guitar. His first album Edge Of Insanity is still a masterpiece💪🤘👊
I keep coming back! This tune is so melodic and singable I bet many folks can sing all those solos just pure classics
Great to see a classic 80's shred tune brought back to life, Maximum Security is full of soaring licks and emotional melodies.
Nili Brosh, baby - BOOM. This clip has so much awesomeness going on, I can't even.
EMGtv really captures it's featured artists sound. Impressive sound
Never tired to listen this song every day.. Tony the gifted musician ..cheers
Praying for both you and your wife.
So glad they made it through that!
My all time favorite guitar player since 1986. I now play Bass and this man is nothing less than 100% total inspiration to me still. Be well Tony!
Nothing short of amazing how tony and nili harmonize
Esta canción la escuchaba con mi padre hace muchos años y me recuerda a él, que aunque era de otra época la disfrutaba mucho, la buena música no tiene tiempo, como esta rola de Tony.
Wow! Tony Macalpine is the man! He keeps doing music with feeling! He´s one of the few shred guitarrist loyal to that feeling!
Repect!
This is still one of the most beautiful guitar instrumental tracks I've ever heard. I really hope Tony and his wife are OK, and thank you for such beautiful music.
What hapenned with him?
A monumental display of Metal meets classical music! The best!
Soundscapes. Amazing melodies. God-given talent. Hope he's doing well!!!!!
Great song Loved it for years. Aquiles Priester talento latino papá!
Beautiful! Love the perfect unison work and nice pickup tone too!
IMPRESSIONANT!!!
Tony I love your playing and compositions. So sad to hear about u being sick with cancer. Please get well soon. This is frm all your fans in Aizawl-Mizoram(India)
terina fanai cancer is the fruits of eating white man diet: WHITE sugar; WHITE salt; WHITE flour.
Chi dawnmi
Very sorry to hear about the cancer good luck I hope you beat it it is a terrible thing for anybody to have to go through
He won't read it so what's the point?
What a beautiful song... Tony is great!
2019 and here I am still engrossed by the lovely melodic guitar works from the band !
I just want to point out the beautiful and talented Nili Brosh. Take note Nili dresses professionally for a gig vs the thousands of social media guitar girls that sell their bodies to get views instead of just letting their talent shine thru. You rock Nili!!!
wish i could like this one every time i came back thanks EMGtv and hail to Tony and Nili 🖖🖖🖖🖖
How many of U have heard this more than once??
on repeat mode
All day everyday
Probably 6 of 7 days a week!
I would say 100 times!!
Once everyday and twice on Sunday
Damn so much talent on that stage. Incredible!!!
I’m so glad Tony is doing well!❤
Masterpiece of music, not only a guitar masterpiece.
@2:33 Those points in life when you cant express how beautiful life can be. What an amazing collection of notes beautifully played.
Tony MacAlpine..80s shred-rock living legend..veteran shred-rock icon.and,ALWAYS awesome!
From an era of many great guitar instrumentals, this is still one of the best IMO.
Love tony, miss him loads being about, such a talent. Great drummer too.
John Inglis That drummer is a monster!!!
Talk about purrrrrfect sound and tight chops: y'all have'em both. Great Rock song. Keep up the great work you are doing. Fantastic mix and master.
Keep strong Tony, we need your music!
Amazing song!! Great melody and Tony's tone is full and beautiful. Very tasteful playing, and not chops for chops' sake. 🎸🎼🎶💙
I was in the Air Force in Iceland in 1987 and Maximum Security, Gary Moore and BeBop Deluxe got me thru that one year remote tour. Played in a band there and we had groupies coming to our rehearsals!
That is still an awesome song, 27+ years on. Tony and the whole band really did it justice. Close to the original but with enough modern touches to keep it current. Well done.
Wow marvellous performance !!! Thanks Tony and great band !!!!
These are some tasty licks I tell you what.
They must be using propane powered guitars, so you taste the melody, not the heat.
Mmm hmm
yup
***** Boomhauer? is that you?
fhpr68 Yep.
I swear you're on like every video I watch Hank
One of the best songs from Tony, amazing!!
Been a T Mac fan since the beginning. The emotions are strong with this one.
Now me, pure nostalia, I fucking Love that 80s sounds! Amazing.
Takes me back to high school: MacAlpine, Greg Howe, Vinnie Moore... I still remember all that stuff note for note.
Saw the Amazing Tony MacAlpine and his awesome band last night at a small venue in Fayetteville, NC... absolutely unbelievable precision, unreal and such fluid shredding... truly a nice person, meet and greet, guitar signing, Such an honor to have finally met one of the all time greatest Guitar Gods!
Man, I remember first seeing this dude in the back of a music store in Orlando doing a clinic back in '85 or '86 He was super cool and blew me away. This is awesome stuff. Me likey.
That bass tone is killer!
Aquiles INCONFUNDÍVEL!!!!!
Great stuff!!! Thanks for sharing this. One of my favorite Tony MacAlpine tunes ever. Those EMGpickupsTV #57 and #66 variants ALSO kick ass!!!
FANTASTIC,ALL OF THEM PLAYED GREAT.
I used to jam this tune a LOT back in the day. I think I have to find that box and pull out some CD's. Looks like it's Tony time in the car for a while. Probably some other killer shit in that box as well. I may have the entire 80's Shrapnel catalog in there. Awesome job on this, the band was superb.
Don't forget the Greg Howe!
TheBrizz71 Hell No!! Anyone for The Pepper Shake??
+Robert Frias Tony was always in the cassette player when cuizing central ave and going to the Midnight Drags! God I miss the 80's!
undoubtedly the best instrumental ever recorded... absolutely beautiful and breathtaking...❤T-Mac
LOVE IT! My fav instrumental of all time and this modern play through lived up to the tune, thanks!
Tony MacAlpine is always the best G.O.A.T =Greatest Of All Time=Tony MacAlpine..Greetings from KK Sabah,Malaysia🇲🇾🇲🇾🤘🏼🤘🏼🇲🇾🇲🇾✌
This song has always been a favorite of mine from any genre. Mr. MacAlpine wrote a beautiful song that will last forever.
Beautiful. I do enjoy the album original with George Lynch.
Long Time Fan of Tony MacAlpine! awesome thanks for upload!
Flawless, beautiful melody!! ;)
Tony i love your music! God bless you
Awesome. One of my favorites while in high school, back in the day. Still sounds amazing.
Love the harmonies. Imagine having to be his rhythm player
Amazing! Tony's great as usual but Nili is his perfect guitar partner and she is also building a brilliant solo career.
Yes!!!! Tony's back! I remember listening to him, Yngwie, Vinnie Moore & Paul Gilbert way back in the early 90's and knew he could shred with the best of them. So glad to see he's back.
I keep coming back to this video. He takes an absolute classic and makes it even better 😂❤️❤️❤️
This song is fantastic, I love it sooooo much. Also tight guitar play from both artists =)
Aquiles Priester man!!!
This guy is great!!
This is one of the songs, one of the melodies that will stand the test of time! Absolutely timeless forever! Thanks Tony and all the other so very talented musos playing on this one!
OMG! Just perfect! The girl playing along with him... Awesome!
It seems to me that Tony doesn't always get the respect and recognition he quite obviously deserves. Like with some of those "all-star" collaborations he's done with other musicians. I've seen several in which his role is seemingly nothing more than a background rhythm section, and his name never even gets mentioned. That is just not right, and it really pi$$es me off. Tony was among that first mid-80's wave of brilliant techno-shredders to follow in the wide and influential wake of The Viking. Guys like Jason Becker, Vinnie Moore, Paul Gilbert, etc. But to say he "followed" is one doozy of a misnomer, because (lest we forget) he also has the skills of a concert pianist. So… the way I see it, Tony doesn't have to take a backseat to ANYONE! Nor should he be expected to...
amen to that!
Lol for "The Viking". Like Lord Voldemort, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named !!!
@@carl13220 Yngwie fucking Malmsteen
@@malmsteengreece yep !!
increíble, sin duda alguna unos de los mejores conciertos a los que he podido ir es al de Tony MacAlpine con Aquiles Priester en la bateria,.
That's been one of my favorite instrumentals for decades. It holds up very well over time. Just a great piece of music. The current band did a great job with it. Great musicians.
All the songs for these sessions are amazing. Congratulations to Tony and the band.
Bravo.!!!
One of the best guitar player in the WORLD!
Amazing performance..love the tune
i came here to check Tony out....man, i was impressed from the girl ;)
Absolutely MESMERIZING! What feeling and emotion that comes through! CHILLS!
As a guy with no love for hard rock (even when melodic, neo-classical, highly skilful, etc.), I find the off-scale note Nili briefly emphasizes at 2:17 to be quite exquisite.
Aquiles Priester you did it!!!
Awesome live version!
oh my god ! ... im just blown away !
i think im going to cry !
Awesome as Always! Macalpine is the man!
