Here is the link to the more premium drill guide: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0043C7WPC/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B0043C7WPC&linkCode=as2&tag=lastingbuild-20&linkId=950388a87a09e29aa9df20e770371ed2
It appears the one I have is not being sold anymore. This one has great reviews but I do not have any personal experience with it!

I have had this tool for a while. I bought it for the sole reason that I had no space for a drill press. It worked great and I still use it.

I have had one of these milescraft drill guides for a couple of years. The bushing for the shaft was so loose and sloppy even when it was new it would never drill a straight accurate hole. I don't know if the one you linked is any better, but I wouldn't bother spending money on it thinking it would replace the accuracy of even a cheap drill press.

That's a great, i need to get that i lost a lot of my tools when i had to be put on disability, that's a stupid process you have to go 2 years without any income before you can even try to get started then normally takes another year to be approved so i had to sell tools to pay bills. I wish i still have them for the days when I'm not hurting as bad

I can see many uses for this in a mobile application for a carpenter in the workforce. Thanks for sharing.

I bought this tool a couple of years ago and I don't like it. It's so unprecise and takes so long to operate It is just better to use the drill by itself. I even made a stand for it so it didn't budge so much with the weight of the drill. I guess, if you have a lot of patience and easy work to do it will work but I any drill press is a much better choice and I just checked, there are some at amazon starting at 70$.

Recently I had to make 320 cuts into 3/4in plywood with a 4in holesaw. I have one of those but almost all of what I do will not work with that tool. I got a Magnum industrial drillpress that actually works much better for me.

Wow! I bet that took a few minutes 😬

It was days. I went thru 5 Lenox 4in holesaws and just made it. They were all smoking when I finished the job. That job paid for my Magnum industrial drillpress and then some.

I passed regular hobbyist years ago. I am retired so jobs come from hither and yon. A pinball head came in today that has been broken so thats the next job. I cant just make another one cuz there is graphics all over it that need to be kept. Its old and valuable.
