Perfect review Victor!
This lens is amazing. Buying it now because of your review!
This video made my mind up. I'm getting this lens. Thanks, Victor.
I'm getting this! Thanks!
i love this review...so. detailed
JUST BOUGHT THIS LENS SO EXCITED
All I can say is that Viltrox is coming up with so much more gear nowadays, kudos to them!
Definitely man!! Gear nowadays are so good that there's no excuse to create fantastic images any more lol
This would be a great beginner prime lens for sure! The aperture ring and metal construction make it a killer deal! Keep up the awesome content man!
Exactly! 1.4 at this price range?! I guess the sigma 30mm is around the same price but I've had issues with that before with the AF.
Great video! Crisp shots and perfect color grading! ❤ you definitely deserve your 10k subs goal! You make great content man! Keep it up!
Thank you, JJ! This is all you guys ❤️
Great video, nice lens.
I just love this lens to be honest, that focus is crazy whattt super fast. Dude your videos are always great and straiht to the point thank you.
RIGHT?! I was so surprised... Definitely better than the sigma when I had it on my a6300 (it could be the a7iv has way better autofocus but I'm still surprised it could keep up with it)
Super cool, I'm still waiting for videos with budget lens
What I like about your review is that you included so many test footages. On top of that, It's pretty!
Thank you brother! I'm glad you like em. I'd love to include more footage in the next review tbh! sometimes work just gets in the way hahaha.
I genuinely love this video
Glad you loved it!
Lovely cinematic look
Thank you!
Good review. i might buy this lens. i have viltrox 75mm 1.8f for my Sony a7iii. Looking for wide angle lens... thanks, brother, for the review.
deserved my subs... Great review... gonna get one for my A7iv too.
Thank you 🙏🏽 it’ll be a good budget option 🙌🏽
compared to my manual 7artisans 35mm lens, this Viltrox is actually pretty good for some reason cause it has good autofocus, and for me, it's better to have at least 1 AF lens, great video review on this man!
That AF is really fast and accurate! so great.
VERY GOOD..... 👏👏👏👏👏
lens is dope! might pick it up!
Right?! I was so surprised with it's performance at this price point.
wow - that definitely looks like a solid bang for your buck!
Right! Not bad for a nifty fifty equivalent!!
Hey, Another nice one. Can you do a how to get the best White balance tutorial? And when mixing different color temperatures..? Thanks man.
About to come! The new lighting setup will cover it 🙌🏽
Great review! The shots looked nice. I started with Sigma lens on my A6100 and usually shop for Sigma. I actually might consider Viltrox.
Yeah I did the same when I had my a6300. Viltrox and Samyang seems to be really good now too! Good budget options.
I bought this lens, viltrox 33mm 1.4, I confess that I was a little uncomfortable, because my camera is full frame (a7iii), but I watched your video and it calmed me down. I'm from Brazil and I always try to watch many videos on youtube before buying. Thanks for the video, enlightening and it was very good. I saved it on my youtube.... After I save more money, I'll buy another one.
I'm really glad it was helpful! I always want to help people make better purchase decisions before they order! Hopefully you like the lens as well!!
the Shots looks great on the 33mm... Seriously Considering picking up one. would be a great addition to my kits to go with the Sigma 24-70, 2.8. Any thoughts on lens in terms of photography ?
Thank you brother, if you do have the 24-70, I wouldn't get the lens at all! its pretty much 50mm on FF since we have to crop. I would recommend getting a wider lens 12-24mm or a telephoto lens like the tamron 70-180mm
I used to have a Viltrox Speedbooster for my gh5, its a quality brand. But the 33mm is bang for buck! But would be tempted to purchased just to try it out!
I was so skeptical until I got my hands on one! Honestly, a nice focal range for crop. Beast of a lens for it's price!!!
Hey, nice vid mate. I recently bought a7iv and I have some questions. first: If you are in run n gun situation and want to shoot for a normal youtube video, should you use slog 3 or just normal picture profile. second: Which variable nd filter is good for sony any suggestion would be appreciated, and should i over expose it to 0.7+ or 1.7+ as there are many people saying to over expose it by 2 stops and you were saying to overexpose it by 1 stop max.. thanks...
Thank you brother! I shoot everything now on SLOG3. It's been a game changer since 10 bit came out on sony a7 series! I typically recommend a solid ND instead but VND can work. I've heard Nisi VND is good but I have no experience with it. I use a freewell ND/16 and ND/32.
For exposing, we don't need to overexpose that much anymore. For good quality highlights, I would really go for 0 to +1. If the scene is super dark, I could go +1.3. It takes a lot of testing to know when to really overexpose but generally, I keep it at 0 to +1 with these newer sony cameras.
@@VictorLaforteza THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR REPLY :)
Compact maybe? Anyway, good review!
this is a great lens especially for beginners, I like the way u say everything isn't perfect, just like the lense hah
Exactly! No need for high end lenses for beginners !
DUDE! I never even considered using a apsc lens with stabilisation on and just crop it to get the right image 🤔 you're a genius haha!
RIGHT?! for some lenses it works. I saw a video from Chris Brockhurst I think using the sony 10-18mm on full frame and he did the same!! I started just doing that to all apsc lenses i get my hands on now LOL
I have a question im planning to buy the zve10, but i see on the internet about Fungus, and you need to buy a dry cabinet. Do i need it ? Is it necessary, and is it a high maintenance camera?
no you dont necessarily need it but it helps.
súper amazing video. Please. Try 85mm viltrox mark 2 🙏🏻🔥
Thank you! Will have to ask them if we can get it!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
@@VictorLaforteza thanks friend
Awesome!! What are your thoughts on the 23mm f1.4 from Viltrox?
Haven't tested it out :( Hopefully they will send one my way to review and giveaway!!
Thanks for this review and impression..planning to get this lens instead of sigma..auto subscribe sa kabayan.
Salamat kabayan! Sigma or viltrox both are good 🙌🏽
Does someone know whats the difference between this lens with gold writing "AF 33/1.4" and the same writing like this in the video? Gold one is older or something?
the gold one is the old version!
Good video.
M confused about if this is a apsc 33mm 1.4 then will use is with a7iv 4k 60 so camera is becoming apsc so how its equivalent to 50mm or still it be 33 right if m wrong correct me love from india
It's still 33mm but the crop will have a similar reach as the 50mm! The look, bokeh, depth of field, and everything else will be the same just the cropped image would be "50mm" haha i hope that makes sense! I did a review on their full frame 50mm recently. It's quite great as well if you want to check it out
@@VictorLaforteza ok so in 4k60 i want 35mm look i should used 23mm 1.4 from viltrox right. Thx for replying and love ur video u have bright future on UA-cam
That's correct! but I wouldn't say "look" but cropped to 35mm
Heyyyy Victor! 👋 #iykyk
Great video. what font do you use for your titles?
NT wagner :)
@@VictorLaforteza Thanks!
active stabilizer can work with a lens?
yup!
@@VictorLaforteza thank you. ✌️
"I love the imperfections in lenses!" 🤣 If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that... I would have $1. 🤣 I know what you mean though- when everything is too perfect it's not classic, it's "Photoshop'd." Thanks for the great review for Viltrox. Based on your findings, I will be looking at one for my next a7IV lens.
Hahaha! You definitely don't hear that often!! Awesome! Here's to hoping viltrox will send us more stuff to review! :D
ui,pinoy!
kababayan!
im not quite sure if ur supposed to speak to the top part of ur mic like u do. Its sounds fine but im pretty sur u are still supposed totalk to te front of the mic
I’ve gotten this comment before, the mic is on top. See other videos about it on UA-cam - deity vo 7u
focus breathing on sony wont work on viltrox other than that viltrox 33 1.4 is ozm lens . i wish i had this lens with me but dont have the budget 😥😥😥
Lens breathing compensation won’t work at all unless it’s compatible Sony lens :( they’re definitely not gonna do it on third party lens.
👏👍☺
Sony Viltrox AF is much faster compared to Fuji. Or maybe I just have an older body with slow AF. 😄
Ya, I was thinking why my sigma 30mm on my a6300 before had slower AF.. it could be that the a7iv has blazing autofocus! Still surprised that it could keep up with it though!
Lenses these days are getting real close to the big production one's. And as you said, the imperfections are what give the lens it's characteristics... we should embrace it. Also lenses like this are real pocket friendly compared to all those g-master or sigma... real game changers for our low budget filmmaking stuff🤌
Right?! 2-3 years ago we didn’t have this but sigma!! I’ve heard that their newest 13mm is a beast of a wide angle!
