Vivian, watching you and your sisters visit has been a total pleasure. I found myself laughing along with you three, truly enjoying every moment of your company.
What a treat! "Lord, help the mister who comes between me and my sister . . . " My girls are the same way - great friends! Slips, the PennySaver, what fun.
Hey, I’m sending you something. Are you back from your travels?
@@vivmomsews4962 What! Ugh, I am such a terrible gift-getter. But yes, I'm back - and help me Lord to be gracious and loving - especially since I was just with the entire extended family 😂😂😂 Thank you so much! You are too generous!
@@TodayinJensSewingRoom Oh it’s very small, no biggie. I hear you on family. My uncle painted one of the best sayings that I’ve ever read: “Peace, peace, perfect peace, and loved ones far away.”🤣🤣
OMG! What fun I had laughing with these sisters. 🤣🤣🤣
That was so fun ! Reminds me of time spent with my three sisters. Lucky for me they all live nearby. Thanks Viv !
I Loved the girl talk..............the funeral dress, homemade Barbie clothes and remember the slip episode. Thanks for the memories!
What a beautiful group of women who obviously love each other and truly enjoy spending time together! And they are sisters!!! Thanks for the joy 🩷🩷🩷
What a treat this video is. You all are beautiful ladies. I am the oldest of four girls born to my parents. There's nothing like a sister. Thanks for sharing.
Your sisters are hysterical! I loved the stories about making the tennis outfit, the slip falling down, and hemming the daughter's trench coat!!!! I laughed so hard!😂😂😂
If there's anything better than Vivmom, it's Anne, Carol and Vivmom. I enjoyed this immensely--Thanks for the laughs!
I was feeling a little down when I turned this on, now I have laughed and laughed! I can certainly see that the humor runs in the family! Carol's slip experience had me rolling! They are both so sweet and funny!
What a delight! I laughed hearing all your stories! Thank you for inviting your sisters. I enjoyed it immensely!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🐨🇦🇺
Love your sisters - felt like we were all sitting around your living room, chatting and laughing ! Thanks so much for sharing your family with us, Viv!
You ladies are TOO a funny! Made me laugh, so funny!!! 😂
I don’t know when I enjoyed anything so much! I have 3 sisters too! My oldest sister is in Heaven and we miss her terribly. She & I sewed and the two middle ones doesn’t. We are the best of friends just like you & yours. Your channel has really been a blessing to me. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Entertaining video. Thanks! My mom often sewed all night. I would wake to see a new dress hanging in my room ready for me to wear. She made beautiful clothes for both of us and sport coats for my tall skinny brother. Everything fit like a dream and felt great because she used the best fabrics available. She always had an amazing fabric stash. My dad said all her sewing never saved him a penny but we always were well dressed!
what fun...speaking of our early machines, I got my first machine in 1960, which my parents paid for & I paid them back by doing alterations..I kept a journal until it was paid for...I was 15 & learned to sew by reading the pattern instructions...later I went to Fashion Institute & was a tailoring major..have been sewing ever since..my favorite past time....
I always love watching Viv no matter what’s she’s talking about, but this video is priceless! So much fun listening to you beautiful, funny ladies!
Well, that was a hoot! Getting to “visit” with your sisters and you. Y’all were having such fun reminiscing. I laughed with you. I have only one sibling, a sister, 2-1/2 years younger, whom I don’t get to see very often as we live pretty far from each other. We do text each other and she called last night and we talked for over an hour. Y’all bring back memories for me too because my Mom sewed quilts and Barbie clothes for us too. She taught me to sew my first quilt and got me hooked on sewing. It was so sweet that you sew for your sisters. I made my sister’s white satin, velvet and lace wedding gown for her wedding as well as my long halter gown and jacket I wore to the wedding. I had forgotten about that til now. Thank you.❤️
I laughed out loud at this video. I was also blessed with 4 sisters.
I loved, loved, loved this video! I do not have a sister. What a treasure you have with your relationships. Thanks for sharing with your viewers.
Carol & Anne are just as amazing as you. Families are the best.
Viv, so sorry I was late to the party. I just knew I would love to see your sister's, they are so much fun. It must be so great to have them. I appreciate the concept because I only have two brother's. They are brother's & they are great, but I can imagine there are no substitutes for sister's. Of course, since I was born in Dec of 61, I fit into the same timeframe!! I loved it ladies & I hope you do it again, soon! Thanks for the fun!! I Loved seeing them wearing their tops, too. God Bless you all.
Oh this was joyful to watch Viv, thank you for letting us meet your lovely sisters 🤗
If this was TV it would be called ‘TV Gold’ 😍. Just fantastic to watch, thank you 👏🏼 xx
I have been in my bed watching this video and laughing my head off I love you girls
This video was a BLAST! Hilarious. I laughed out loud when Carol said her husband's gift of a Janome sewing machine was like owning a Steinway when all you can play is Chop Sticks. It was lovely seeing that relaxed sisterly joy you have together.
So wonderful that your sisters live nearby and that they are healthy and you sew for them. My older sister died on January 5 after 31 days on a ventilator. She taught me to sew, and we shared sewing stories and projects. She did not live nearby. Enjoy those sisters.
I’m so sad to hear that, Susan. Sending love and prayers.
Great stories. I just dissolved in laughter.😂
So much fun! Great to meet your sisters and hear about their differences with sewing. My sister and I are as difference but we always enjoy great stories. So much fun much fun seeing you all together - Thank you -❤️!
You three made me laugh! All beautiful women!
Oh my word this was the best...I am so jealous...I have three brothers can you imagine....no sisters. You guys are so funny and special....thank you.
Wonderful to see your sisters and listening to you all laughing
I loved this sitting down with your sisters. It’s amazing to see how you interact. It reminds me so much of how my sisters and I are when we get together. ❤
Loved the sister vibe!!! There is nothing like hanging with your tribe😍 love your makes!!! You are such a great sister!!!
You are SO lucky to have sisters. That's something I envy. I think I smiled all the way through that video at the closeness and the humor that you share with each other. I could spend all day listening to you talk and laugh together 😊
I felt that too.
I envy that sisterhood thing too. God gifted me with a great daughter and granddaughter to fill the void.
Thank you for reminding me how much I love my sisters.
I love your sisters! Oh my word.... they are so hilarious and beautiful...just like you Vivmom. I have an insulin pump too... when I heard Anne’s chime... I thought it was mine. 💜😊 I really loved this visit so much.
Loved it..5 siblings..1 sister and 1 brother left..2 sisters and 1 brother gone on ahead...
I just need to say, I enjoy your channel so much!!!! I don't have any friends or family that sew, but when I watch an episode like this one, it makes me feel like I'm sitting and laughing with sewing friends!!! Plus, it's very cool to see a great sewing you tube channel that I can relate with more, since I'm "older" (45). Great work!!!!
Thanks Heather! So glad you’re here!😃
This reminds me of me and my sisters........my oldest sister Kathy...passed away March 2019.....but she could make anything! And she did ! Truly amazing! Me....middle sister....dressmaker......Pam. Younger sister....the quilter! Mother never sewed anything! Grandmothers were sewers !
Dorcas is a woman from the Bible. This was so wonderful!
Your sisters are absolutely precious. What a wonderful family. Wish Kathy could have been there so we could have met her too.
I got a brand new Sears sewing machine for Christmas when I was in 7th grade. (1965) My mom saved the Ad and it cost $69.99. It is olive green and I still have it.
I just saw one of those machines in a thrift store yesterday!
Dorcas was a deacon in the early church and associated with fabric (perhaps a cloth merchant).
I am still sewing with the Singer Slant-O-matic 403 I bought in 1959. I just had it cleaned and checked out. I was told it should last another 60+ years! It has produced everything from baby clothes to bridesmaids' dresses to Covid masks. I really enjoyed this sister video and all your videos. Happy sewing!
This conversation is so heartwarming. People that love making things for the sake of someone else’s enjoyment.🥰
Oh my goodness, I laughed and laughed along with you all so much my hubby wanted to know what I was watching. 😂
During the video all I could think of was the song "Sisters" sung by Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen in White Christmas! Thanks for the laughs ladies!
Your sisters are so much fun, I could not stop laughing! Maybe they can be regulars on the channel? I love all the makes, especially Carol's bee tunic. Thanks for the laughs.
Love you ladies! Viv I really enjoy your videos. You’ve inspired me to sew more clothing. I’ve been focused on quilts for quite some time now and have wanted to do clothing again for awhile but it seemed like a chore. You’ve lit my fire with your fabric and makes videos. I binge watch them dreaming of what I should make. But you are my favourite part of your videos. You are so real and always make me laugh. It’s like spending time with a friend. Pure joy! 😁
I, too, enjoyed this video immensely! What a hoot! I am #11 of 12 kids, 10 girls and two boys. I’m the baby girl and we were referred to as “the first half and the second half”. Some of us sewed (getting too old now) and I still do. Guess being at the bottom has it’s advantages! I’m a night owl, too, Viv and Collin, we should FaceTime!!!! 😃
This was so fun! Loved the sisters banter. My sisters and I are in our 60’s and so enjoy getting together. I used to sew and maybe when retire will have the time. If my eyesight holds out! Lol
Loved you and your sisters talking and sharing the past.I didn't have a sister. My Mom who is 95 ,when I was younger we would sew together.sweet memories.
You are all so hilarious! Love watching you interact. ❣️❣️❣️love love
Lin here. I am quite jealous of your lovely sisters (I always wanted a sister and you have 3) how lucky you are ! You all get on so well. I have really enjoyed listening to you all reminise about your sewing days lol 😂. Thank you so much 😊 and you are very generous to have sewn all those lovely things for your sisters. 👍
Very fun to meet some of your sisters.... happy sewing!
Love the dynamics of the sisterhood
Sister fun, so sweet! ☺️☺️☺️
I wish you weren't so hard on yourself. You are gorgeous and no one but you notices any "flaws". We all want to be just like you. You are very stylish and look great in all your fashions.
I’ve laughed out loud so much with you all, I thought I’d wake my husband who is two rooms away from me!! What a joy this has been💖
It was so lovely to meet your sisters. You all get on so well. It was really charming, and also charming that you sew for them all. We need more Vivmom and Vivsisters!
Loved this video! Several funny comments made me LOL literally! Thank you for sharing your warm, funny, loving family!
So nice to meet your sisters! Their wit and sense of humour brought a smile to my face this morning and I am grateful for this. Thank you for “sharing” them with us! I love your podcasts. Please keep them coming.
I loved watching this, it brought back so many sewing memories. My first dress and my mom who did not sew made me a dress. She had a Featherweight but I don't think she knew how to backstich, I was so proud of it and wore it to school and it started to fall apart. First the sleeves and then the gathered waist. The HomeEc teacher had to take me in her room but her coat on me and resewed the dress. But I continued on, taking after my grandmother and learned to sew. Thanks for this video. You have beautiful sisters just like you are!
Loved that your sisters are so supportive of your sewing. You are blessed.
Viv, thank you so much for having your sisters sit in with you 🤗. I enjoyed all of your stories. It made me laugh so hard when your sister told the story about her slip falling down to her ankles. Also, how young ladies don’t really wear slips anymore and how hard it is to try to find one😁. Absolutely loved all the outfits you and your sisters were wearing and the others you made.
Oh what a wonderful time! Its so lovely to see you girls together, it's like being in the room with you. Viv, I KNEW you'd made Anne's top at least, straight away! . Really smart. You're so fortunate to have each other and thank you for inviting us to be with you. 🤗 🙏 ❤️
On our fourth anniversary, my husband gave me a used Singer sewing machine. I was thrilled.. only thing was, he was so enthralled with it, and the attachments that came with , that I had to wait several weeks to use it for the first time because he made our son lined jeans and me a dress! We've been married sixty-three years now, and still have that machine. Its gear driven and has sewn through many canvas covers for our boat, and leather belt repairs. Wouldn't give it up for anything..or him!! Thank you for the laughs this morning and fond memories.
My mom used to make most of my sister and my clothing and was an expert seam tress. I started sewing around age 12 for 4-H on a Minnesota treadle machine that had belonged to my great-grandmother. I've never stopped sewing since. In the 1960's I had a neighbor who was trained in tailoring who taught me a lot of new techniques. Now days there is so much excellent information on sewing V-logs and I have several that I follow regularly including yours. Every once in awhile one of your vintage patterns is one I sewed when the pattern was new!
Get this, LeeAnn! Our “maiden name” was Wickert. So close to yours! Thanks for writing, and keep up the great sewing!
Being the youngest of 7 girls I enjoyed this immensely! I am always surprised when I hear stories of siblings that don't get along or don't communicate much! You all obviously had as much fun and love as we did growing up- I loved your stories. Also love it when Colin comes on - his comments are pretty tuned in and interesting. This was fun, fun, fun!
So much fun to see you with your sisters and hear all the laughter! Just what we all need these days.
Can I just say “You and your sisters are Awesome!” What fun! Thank you for sharing.
Nothing better than time with sisters!!!! You are all great together.
Loved seeing you with your sisters! ❤️
You have great fun sisters ! So funny 🤣
I have loved your channel and your family. Now I love your sisters too :-)). Those are beautiful garments that you made. You guys are a hoot! I was laughing all the way through. My Mother sewed clothes for my brother and me when we were little. Same fabric and style but one with a skirt and one with shorts or pants. I wasn't interested in sewing till after she passed. Definitely, my loss. Please don't ever nitpick a part of yourself. You ladies are beautiful, especially when you all smiled or laughed. You light up the whole internet. You ladies are quite the package. Gorgeous through and through as well as piece by piece. Love ya
Well that made my day. Lovely sisters, hilarious and so warm. You guys are so generous to share your stories with us. Thank you.💜
I come from a family of four girls and I am the youngest, no brothers. My dad’s saying when he would introduce one of us when we were adults was “GOT THREE MORE JUST LIKE HER”. He also had a number for each of us, me being #4. We are now 79, 76, 69, 66. And still have a great time together. Thanks for sharing your sisters!
Wow! You ladies made my night. It was so refreshing to hear sisters go back and forth remembering being a child, sewing,, and just enjoying eaches company. Sister's are great
You guys are so sweet. Nice to meet you Vivmom sisters. Love what she sews for you too.
My Mom used to make blouses for me without hemming the bottom. The reason? “That’s the part you tuck in.”.
I loved this video!
😂 😂 😂 Well, she is right.
Your sisters are such a hoot. You gals have a great friendship and bond and it shows in your giggles and banter. Thank you for a fun time!
Loved meeting the sisters, always wished I had one. Two brothers, who do woodwork, beautifully, so making is certainly in our bloodline, and it seems yours too, as they genuinely seemed to enjoy what you have made them. There is little else that makes me feel as satisfied and ecstatic about my sewing than when others loved what I did.
Thank you!I really enjoyed all of you and your stories! You were having a great time and so were we!
This was just the most wonderful video. It reminded me of when my mom and aunts get together. Thank you ladies.
I love hearing about your family’s sewing adventures and you are all so beautiful. I was a sewer of my own clothes when I was very young in the 60’s but gave up and took up quilting when a small shop offered classes. So happy to have my daughter interested in sewing clothes together . Thanks to the video’s teaching how to sew and fit. Please keep sharing 😍
Loved all the joy and laughter. You guys made my day!
I have 4 sisters...I'm a Kathy too. I guilt also. You all made me laugh...sounds like my momma who sewed everything. My mom did make all weddings gowns for the 5 of us girls. She could do anything.!!!! Supermom w 8 kids...I also have 3 brothers....made their shirts...coats and all of us girls clothes. Thanks for sharing a fun time w you three!!
Your sisters are a joy.
It was a fun video with your sisters. It felt like the viewer was right there sitting with the ladies. Fun conversations too! Dorcas society ladies are part of our family too. Funny, they would talk about DORCAS almost as though it was another person in their group at times and sometimes we would get caught up in their dramas over their community plights to doing things for others even to the point of getting ourselves volunteered for activities by our family members. So funny!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful sisters with us! How nice that you sew for them too. Funny stories😂
So lovely to see you and your sisters together. Now i want sisters like you. 😊
Another thank you Viv. You gals are so fun & uplifting.
I looked up dope men sew and now follow him on UA-cam and Instagram 🙏🏼🙏🏼
