    If the school keeps the dog they need to pay the teacher back for all the food, toys, meds, vaccines, training she paid for, and hours walking and caring for the dog. The teacher has been exploited and needs to be compensated. Or you could just give her back her damn dog! That she was kind enough to let provide you with free services from for 2 years!

      100% agree if it's not technically hers school needs to pay at least half.

      @@kayladelmast8197 Nah fam. If the school claims that dog, they can pay her 100% of the money she didnt need too spend.

    I wish they would stop saying the dog is a therapy dog. It failed the therapy dog program and was just pet dog who used it in classroom. Liability for a poorly socialized dog in a classroom should be enough to have the dog not brought in to school.

      either they were negligent on that or the school was just throwing out BS to try to get the dog back. "oh yeah well it wasn't a good therapy dog anyway we want our money for that" not thinking. WHich indicates a pretty messed up, unprofessional, corrupt organization there. Some people clearly need to be replaced.

      Agreed. The principal is only doing this because he's angry the teacher is leaving. Therefore, he took the dog. There's teacher shortages everywhere now. This whole thing is petty and the dog is having to pay for it. Horrible.

    I sure hope the school takes the new puppy and gets it proper socialization and training, but definitely NOT with that “trainer” used previously who used an e-collar ON A PUPPY! Those should NEVER be used on puppies, but only as a last resort. Return Gracie to her mom, the teacher. 🐶❤️

    Why get another mutt from the same backyard breeder, when the first one failed training? Get a therapy dog from a breeder who at minimum does health (OFAs) and temperament testing, with high success rates.

    They opted to train Gracie with a shock collar..... not sure either needs to have that dog back.

    • @toothcruncher
      @toothcruncher Місяць тому +3

      the trainer used a shock collar on Gracie, not Fata herself. Fata simply brought the dog to someone who said they could train them to be a therapy dog, as she was made to by the school: it’s on the trainer for being cruel, and on the school for making Fata go to that trainer and no one else (as is said in the lawsuit).

      @@toothcruncher I don't think you made the case you think you did. If she is truly the dog's owner and she knew a shock collar was going to be used, she should have stepped up and said no.

      @@Ch-yz4yt i don’t think she knew a shock collar was going to be used, though. i think that was all handled though the school, who used a person they told Fata to trust because they had used him before.
