Grunt had a moment.
Grunt had a Wrex moment.
He did 😮😂😂
How did you get that armor in me2
Haha I had the same glitch but Shepard was the one saying other squadmates lines
Based
Grunt would have easily passed the speech check at her apartment.
The thot has no power over the simple, hard-working man (in this case Grunt)
And then set up Morinth's date with The Hangman for killing Grunt.
Lmaoooo
Imagine Samara solemnly swearing to help Shepard and then out of nowhere she’s like” krogan are hot as hell” 😂
She could have done some Krogan too considering how old the real Samara is.... Tho given what her kids are she's only had children with other Asari.
@@eliasnilsson6604 Asari can mate with any race though. However the child will always be asari. Liara is a quarter krogan I think.
@@TheGingiGamer Samara has three ardat-yakshi children and ardat-yakshi are always pureblood, so it doesn't really matter that asari can mate with any species in this context. What does matter is that asari seem able to basically pick whether to get pregnant or not, since asari mating doesn't result in two pregnancies, and Liara probably isn't experiencing an asymptomatic pregnancy for nearly three years if you romance her.
@@matsczon Well she was busy as the Shadow Broker and then as the Chief Science Officer on the Normandy SR-2. Plus she was helping to try to save the galaxy. I imagine after ME3 she became pregnant with Shepard's kids. ME4 may address this since it looks like we'll be playing as her.
I mean, those two things aren't mutually exclusive...
You know, I realized something just now. Krogan have a very good sense of smell. You think Grunt knew Morinth wasn't Samara the whole time and this line was him admitting it?
Grunt doesn't really care about stuff like that, as Kelly once pointed out.
@@Kovugamez My point exactly. Still no one else even had the quad to call a psychotic serial killer a slut to her face.
@@Kovugamez He really just wants to fight doesn't he? What an angry boy
I mean possibly. That would also explain why he calls her an slut. Samara was not known for her promiscuity. Morinth, however, was.
@@koala101100 ah, Krogan puberty. What a beautifully violent time lol
Hearing Grunt say that is both so out of character and on point for him at the same time it's hilarious
That’s probably the first and last time we’ll ever hear him call someone a “Sl(you know what goes here)t” 😂
I think it's in character for Grunt to say "fuck off" on Morinth cuz of her tendecies to be a backstabber.
"Be gone thot" -Grunt
I love how mordin just doesn't even seem to notice anything she's saying. He just wants to talk shop with literally anyone
i could never kill samara, but this was really funny.
Meh, I almost always kill her. Dominate is ridiculously useful as crowd control. Sorry not sorry.
I've only killed Samara once, and that was just to do the save/reload glitch to unlock the Dominate bonus power without a Morinth playthrough(choosing her completely ruins the Ardat Yakshi mission in ME3)
@@HunterX05 All it does is remove Samara from the mission. Samara didn't really have much to offer for it.
@@Adanu191 maybe not in ME2, but she does a little bit in ME3 (more if she's loyal and romanced)
@@R0ccojas0n Not enough for me to care about keeping her around. The /only/ real thing of substance she contributes that I cared a little for was the citadel party. Beyond that, I could have done without her.
Tecnically Kasumi also knows that Mornith is around. Wandered around the ship after the Suicide mission and Kasumi was like don't try it with Mornith, she will kill you.
Since Krogan have a backup nervous system, shouldn't they be able to survive at least a one night stand with an ardat yakshi?
asking the real questions,
That would only help if the ardat yakshi stops after the first system is fried.
Most will probably happily fry the second system as well.
Morinth isn’t into witnesses. If they did survive, she’d hit them again.
@@charchadonto I think since wrex mentions how the space exposure would have been painful due to a lack of redundant nervous system, I would assume it takes a while or specific conditions for the second system to engage, maybe long enough to fool an ardat yakshi
@@SimplyStuart94 But wouldn't the redundant nervous system be common knowledge? Can't fool someone with something damn near everyone knows about.
Would have loved to see Morinth interact with Javik or Wrex.
Jack too.
Evidently it was supposed to happen, but she got cut.
@@Spiffy-sd5ixtechnically she didn't get cut she just got killed by the reapers offscreen
@@tyr573 Nope, she just turns into a generic Banshee on the final mission. It's even more insulting imo
Morinth is such a missed opportunity for the series. Would have been interesting having her develop more as a character and appear in the Citadel DLC instead of being killed by the reapers off-screen.
I wouldn’t say she put up a perfect facade. Both Kasumi and Kelly have comments where they can tell something is off.
Looks like Grunt has a split personality.
He's literally listening to a race that has a reputation for being oversexed say something lustful over the horribly desecrated body of a dead female krogan.
I think he gets to call out morinth for being an awful person at that moment.
@@hariman7727 I think they mean the captions say Grunt is saying every line.
@@chimpzombie weird.
Morinth just bragged about killing multiple Krogan, of course Grunt will out her in her place.
@@millabasset1710 I think they mean that the captions say grunt is saying every line
Grunt: *"Begone THOT!"*
grunt just had a bit of peanut butter on the roof of his mouth and was trying to get it off
The way Mordin and Grunt both respond, it makes it seem like they're both entirely aware of Morinth. Failed to be cut from when this was the creative direction perhaps?
Possibly!
yeah, seems to me like there was plans for her to be way more involved as a character option, but instead they just seemed to assume no one would actually choose her over samara.
@@kerricaine they were mostly right
@@MrHulthen I can't seem to comment on your videos it seems that they're posted but they disappear if you're in the browser like they have been ghosted but I just wanted to say you're a absolutely awesome UA-camr you're videos are super interesting there isn't a single video I don't watch all the way through
@@kerricaine choosing morinth over Samara is one of the few clear-cut evil versus good choices in the entirety of Mass effect.
Even a hardcore renegade for life Commander Shepard probably has a hard time choosing morinth over Samara
You know what's funny is that the Krogan in the series are really good at judging a person's character. Idk if its because they evolved on a hostile planet where for centuries they were the bottom of the food chain so they have a keen instinct on person's intentions but every time a Krogan calls someone out or has a good relationship with someone they've been proven right
I do love Morinth even though i know she is evil...she is kind of like having a succubus around lol
There are unused voice lines of everyone responding to morinth being downed and using her actual name. This, along with this bit implies that originally Morinth wasnt going to be limited to just pretending to be Samara all the time. It was most likely a budget or time constraint or maybe the voice actor was unavailable for most of the production.
Grunt ain’t no Simp
"Shepard, we have an impostor among us" - if Liara were there.
purple is always imposter so surely its tali
Funny enough, Kasumi is the only confirmed squadmate who knows it's Morinth and not Samara. She's the one who warns you when Morinth is about to make a move on you and that you shouldn't "stick your dįck in crazy"
"we have an impostor among us"
...and he touched my ass!
@@bruhgod123 did you said it because she vents
@@Alexey_Konstantinovich and also she is good at sabotaging things as well so tali is the imposter amogus
Grunt's response lmfao.
Reminder that picking Morinth makes her appear on Earth as a Banshee in ME:3
Only real downside to recruiting her. Still pissed at the devs for being that lazy with her.
@@Adanu191 why would anyone recruit her? She doesn't bring anything to the table aside from her loyalty power and you can just save scum that
@@Adanu191 I regard it less as lazy and more they saying "you were supposed to kill her. we literally made the most obvious choice answer and you failed so we killed her ourselves."
@@Sam-im5tc I call bullshit on that since Morinth has her own skill tree and Dominate is better by far.
@@Adanu191 I mean Anderson has his own skill tree in the opening of Mass Effect 3 that you never get to use again afterwards. Morinth's is there for pretty much the same reason. Most will never even know it is there because we aren't psycho enough to let an unremorseful mass-murderer live.
I'm surprised Miranda never picked up on Morinth's identity considering she would have read Kelly's psych evaluation. Aside from Kasumi, Kelly is the only other character who picks up on Morinth impersonating Samara, something I feel would cause her enough concern to report it to Miranda directly even.
If you bring morinth to the shadow broker dlc, he'll comment that the justicar has changed since omega
If Morinth so much as thinks about touching a scale on grunts head I'll space her faster than you can say Krogasm
No one going to mention the grunt model doing the lip movements for morinth? That was amazing
I wish Liara was there she would put Morinth in her place
You mean smear her all over the ceiling with Singularity?
Oh please.
Liara would try, but Morinth is more powerful and would kill Liara
@@MCSPARTAN501 Morinth wouldn’t kill Liara over a ear bashing especially on Shepards ship unless she’s suicidal
@@MCSPARTAN501 She may have more raw power, but she doesn't have the experience Liara has. Sure, Liara is a young Asari, but by then all Morinth had done was seduce vulnerable people, she hardly had anyone with the wit to challenge her, there is a reason why fooling her into bringing you to her place is so easy.
Grunt's line is what I'd expect Jack to say.
Grunt the ultimate Sigma guy!

She brake character and no one bats an eye 👁 👄 👁
Grunt probably already knows, considering the krogan's sense of smell.
This looks like a remnant of Morinth being a fully fleshed out squadmate to me.
Maybe they planned for her to have dialogue like this during missions like every other squadmate, but then cut it for some reason, perhaps they ran out of time.
Looks like I'm doing another ME playthrough.
So how was it going?
I don't know what I expected from Grunt, but this still made me cackle.
Grunt: "Asari sl*t"
Me: "Mama Shep raised you right"
Grunt wasn't wrong there
This has to be voicelines from cut content where morinth reveals her identity during me2 that they forgot to replace. Its just so uncharacteristic to just do that
it is literally her character to do just that. she may be under deep cover, but she slipped up because of her passion it's what shepherd exploited to trap her
And when Grunt pass his test. Let's go back to Normandy.
Liara would put her in check easy, like she putting Javik on place while on Monastery mission, or Javik and Edi roasting hypocritical Salarians back on Surk'esh
Grunt is so awesome ❤
I really wish they’d developed Morinth more. Honestly, a more compelling character than Samara.
I love Morinth. Even if I have to kill her to save her from being a Banshee. Her rebellious character is really underrated and these dialogs shows it.
I would love her, but she unapologetically murders people for the high. Which isn't a bad thing entirely from a writing perspective, but there's no real nuance there. That's basically all she is. A very horny murderer.
It's sad that they never expanded on her character more. I think she really had the potential to be a solid anti-hero if she'd actually been given an arc in ME3. Maybe if the choice was more grey in ME2; if Samara had leaned a little more into Zealotry and Morinth was portrayed a touch more sympathetic, still portrayed the cold killer, but with a little more discovery into the fact that she really just wants to find someone that can survive her (as shown in her tragic romance route). If more people would have chosen her, perhaps we could have seen it.
I love her too. I like to save her, and then get her killed in the Suicide Mission, so that she dies as a hero while trying to save the galaxy. I imagine in a way, even her mother would have been somewhat proud that she died doing something so selfless.
It's a way better and more redeeming ending than what happens in ME3.
Grunt: "Be gone, THOT."
I wish there was more in ME3 to Morinth, her showing up as a named Banshee was just a slap in the face for everyone who chose her out of curiosity (I doubt even the renegade leaning people would consider her over Samara for real)
She could've easily be a standing for Samara in that monastery mission. Like first sign could have been Shep commenting on some of the asari bodies not being killed by Reapers apparently. Then you meet with her. And later her and Falere. I'd add an option to mention she killed Samara, as a renegade or paragon answer, and that causing Falere to run away in this case. Things go down the same way, you escape with Falere and Morinth, but at the balcony, a standoff situation happens. And you can either let them go, or shoot her (then the ultimate renegade shooting Falere too if you want). But, a slight change, if you mentioned that she killed Samara, Falere will end her anyway, probably just pushing her down the cliff with biotics.
And at the endgame slides it's either Falere alone, or the new one, with Morinth doing her space-succubus-vampire things, but now with Falere with her.
That would be awesome tbh, wish they’d gone with that
Perhaps Morinth's VA was unavailable
Ugh...
Tell em grunt!
Grunt?
My boy!
The fact that Steve Blum plays Grunt, and he said that line, is hilarious. 😂
I’ve never once chose Morinth over Samara. Not once ever. Not even for science.
Blasphemous blasphemer you!!!
😂😂😂
Morinth is better than Samara everyday.
@@Adanu191 I thumbs upped your comment even though I couldn’t read it through all the blasphemy obscuring it!😂😂😂
@@angel8fingers Put it this way. Samara kills without remorse for some obscure code and thinks being a vigilante is 'just'. The only difference between her and Morinth is Morinth didn't choose to be a killer, she was born with an addiction.
@@Adanu191 Morinth is far passed just being addicted, she genuinely enjoys what she does, you have to remember Morinth has been doing this thing for 400 years. Don't forget her last victim before Samara's loyalty mission is a literal teenager. Morinth genuinely needs to be put down.
Samara on the other hand goes after the scum of society and is literally by her code unable to harm innocents. . They aren't even comparable.
@@Adanu191 Samara is willing to compromise by having Shepherd lead her, so that she doesn't have to kill the security personnel on the planet.
Samara might be very much a stickler for the law, but she's not a Monster who kills for pleasure.
Hey I got a good idea for a video, how Powerful are the mass effect characters? COuld you do a tierlist about that?
My boy Grunt ain't no simp 🗿
Based Grunt. XD
I wonder if this was pretended to be like cut content, AND in that content the squadmates know what happen with Samara O_o
i wonder if this is a left over piece of dialog from Morinth being an entirely separate companion from Samara earlier in development.
Who knows, could be a cut scene that they forgot to take out from a potential version where Morinth was meant to be herself. Who knows how much random stuff there is in the game that was meant to be cut out
If memory serves, while fake Samara wont speak with her on camera, when you visit Kasumi she will mention that Samara seems changed.
she also out right tells you not to sleep with morinth because she will kill you. she knows its morinth
I swear I read somewhere that Morinth ended up becoming a Banshee because she tried to save someone from Reaper forces.

In all my time playing this game I actually have never gotten the option to get Morinth over Samara. I didn't even realize it was an option till later. The game never really gave me the option either, it just just picked for me. I assumed there was some kind of setup for it but never really cared for it. Like we get to know Morinth for like two minutes and then its her vs Samara.

I just finished me2 playthrough. Not done garus's mission, Tali was not loyal and they survived!!!!??? Did I miss something??
Loyalty is a factor. Not the sole factor.
Loyalty only helps tali and garrus survive its more important for the other squadmates as it affects what happens to them in 3 and helps them survive the mission also don't worry if you don't manage to save everyone on your first playthru these games are ment to be replayed so tou can save them all including kelly
Edit: also zaeed is op in me2
The suicide mission is both complex and yet also simple. If you have enough people who are loyal and make the right choices, not everyone has to be loyal for everyone to survive.

Another reminder of why rushing ME2's and 3's development, was bad call. 20 buddies of Shep and in the end they all get along? Back in the good ol days of KOTOR, you had to kill half of your squad to move on with a "bad choice". Now? You get a mail and a generic enemy with a name over the health bar. Wasted potential, right there.
Oh, i forgot. We have to add some dipshht like Kai Leng to the game, so Shepard has an antagonist he can fight with. What a waste.
