My great grandmother used to live here! Was a long drive from Missoula but had a lot of great memories from when I was younger, haven't been there in nearly 10 years so seeing it again here is so nostalgic!
Great video presentation with nice driving scenes , down to earth informative . During these crazy times with covid 19 road trips like this can make your life much less stressful .
Great video footage Russ! Your travels make me want to explore the small towns and great scenery our beautiful nation has to offer! Your viewers live vicariously through your videos and envy your travels and adventures! Thank you Sir! Safe travels! -Steve-
Rexford was relocated to its current site when the dam was built in the 1970s. My mom grew up on a homestead near there (now also underwater) during the 1920s.
Thanks for going through Whitefish Russ, that's where I learn't to ski. I stayed at the Downtowner Motel - 05:40 in 2007, nice to see it's still there! Neat little town.
🙋♀️Hello Russ! I love getting up early & start the day before it gets hot. The day was really nice to take in the sights! Montana is beautiful! Didn't seem as hazy today. Nice campground Russ! Hope you rest good.
Thanks for the windshield tour of the West Glacier area and especially Whitefish. Visiting friends in Whitefish and West Glacier next summer on my 'Roaming the Rockies' tour. Thanks for the clean windshield, I'm not that good at it when my dash cam is on. I cancelled my usual summer trip to Colorado this year and with this series of videos I'm able to vicariously enjoy the west and look forward to next summer.
Thanks for the video Russ. We originally were doing the same loop ending in Missoula via MT56 and MT200. But we decided to head south instead to Salmon ID to hide out with some new RV friends for Labor Day. Have a happy and safe Labor Day!
I've really enjoyed your adventure on US 2 through Montana, especially this most recent one. Many years ago, I attended an annual college/career camp at Glacier Bible Camp in Hungry Horse. I loved the area. I especially would take note how it was basically flat just east from Kalispell and Columbia Falls and you'd see the mountains almost grow out of the ground. It was a beautiful setting. If you get back there, be sure to stop at the Hungry Horse reservoir. Very scenic. You will also enjoy Libby!! Lovely area, too. Not sure if you're continuing west through Sandpoint, ID or not, but make sure to check out the town. Lots of neat shops. Also, just south on Coeur D'Alene is the golf course with the hole on the water. Pretty cool!!! Stay safe!!
Well i just happened to catch your video. Very nice trip. I lived in Kalispell many years as a kid. Visited Whitefish & Columbia Falls many times. I went through Libby a couple of times but never to Eureka. Beautiful country. I look forward to more of your trips. Thanks.
I look forward to these each night. Some of those places I’ve been to. Go to Flathead Lake. They have a lake monster folklore around the lake. Very fun and beautiful place.
I at the south end of HWY 93 at Sula Montana about 12 miles to the Idaho boarder, love the 93 drive through Montana. People drive fast in Montana, truckers really like going through the state.
Hey Russ, glad you were able to find a place to stay. Had that happen once going to Mt Pleasant Iowa Threshers Show. Had to go back over 50 miles the way we came to find a motel. Took the last room they had. Hope you enjoy your Labor Day. Take Care and can't wait for the next vacation video!👍😃
You missed the big campground. The turn off was about 100 feet from the hiway to the right called Rexford Bench lots of sites. Nice to see they repaved the road from Eureaka. Yes that drive from Whitefish is sketchy but very beautiful.
Russ, Whitefish is a famous ski resort. But, of course you, being an Okie living in Arizona wouldn't know that, har har...nice video, great drone view, well done!
I have lived in Eureka for 40 years, had you taken the first right just passed the Rexford Wood Sign you would have found a large Forest Service Campground right by the lake. May your next trip.
Good afternoon Russ, Gotta love small town America! I thought you were going to take a few days off. Need to take your metal detector out and find some nuggets in those hills. Weather outlook calls for a big change headed your way. I kinda hope you can video some snow falling, Hee Hee Sure could use some cool weather down here in AZ. The heat just keeps hanging on. Take your time! See You Soon!
Big Wave Russ once again....Hands across the border. You were so close in miles could you see us??? LOL. Gee now isn't that Montana so beautiful. I will tell you there is not a place on earth except my area at home that is as beautiful. Hey Thanks so much Russ for your share...Doggone it, what a beauty of a trip. We look forward to your next jaunt on your journey. By the way, there is talk about the border being closed till August 2021, unless essential travel. What a bummer, but this virus A, (Canadian eh), it is bugging all of us. Well Russ we will be watching. Please take care and give all of our American friends a big hug...Take care, Stay Safe, and keep on trucking....Thanks Russ..from Carolyn and Colin Hogarth Osoyoos B.C. Canada.
Great video and Whitefish looks great too! We’re down here at Walnut Canyon where you were a few weeks ago. Still hot, looks like nicer temps up there. Great tour guide you are! Yeah!
WE VISITED GLACIER 4 WEEKS AGO. REALLY A NICE PLACE. WE TRAVELED HWY 2 FROM SANDPOINT ON OUR WAY THERE AND 93 ON THE RETURN TRIP. FOR ME, EUREKA WOULD BE A GREAT TOWN TO SETTLE IN
You missed the turn to the Forest Service Campground in Rexford, lots of Campsites right on the lake ( over a hundred), it wasn’t full... Great Video of out town though!
We couldn't find a campsite in Eureka two years ago so went to the Tobacco river campground (down by the river). Saw an Osprey swoop down and catch a fish right in front of me. Don't see that in New Zealand.
Iam new subscriber Arabic lady citizen thank you for showing us such magnificent landscapes beauty of nature you as guide tourist encourage us to read information about places you visited we as foreigners subscribers enjoy to explore places unknown to us so that would you mind if I add some main information about places you visited to increase our cultural level impossible for us to travel there alright stay safe blessed iwish for your Channel more success and progress good luck to your dearest ones
I know you did this a year ago i just came across this my mom and aunt live there in eureka infact that there house is across from Rexford if you took a right or straight it would have taken you to the lake and by where they live love it we always walked to the lake from there place
I enjoy your narrative but feel like you need a wider lens so even I could see the things you describe as we drive down the road. It's an enjoyable drive by could share more of what goes on when not looking at the white lines. LOVE your drone footage! That thing is really smooth!
I'm Sorry but Whitefish....Is No Longer Small town USA.....Its Snob town USA now $$$$$.....Original name was Stumptown.....But since the Big Mnt Ski Resort it has turned into Snob town USA. $$$$$$ Try the Yaak if u want Small town USA....🌻🌻🌻
Hi RV... I’m steve from Dunedin NZ ,first time watcher of your vids. just wanted to say, I love your video... the way you’ve put them together brilliant and also sound like a real nice bloke good to listen too. If owned that trailer Park that was fully booked? I’d put you up on the front lawn for free 😀 I’m looking forward to seeing more of your vids 🖐
I'm really enjoying the summer tour! I don't remember but awhile back I might have recommended hi-way 93 off of I-90 to Clark Fork and Sandpoint. I have to correct that recommendation as it is hi-way 200. After watching this video I realized I had made a mistake. Thanks.
Hey, Russ, I am enjoying your Summer Roadtrip series 2020. Beautiful places that I think I would like to visit. However I notice this year you are NOT showing the RV parks that you are staying at (other than the Sturgis visit). Is there any chance you can at least have a drive-through of the places you are staying, like you did in previous seasons? If I repeat the trips you are doing, it would be nice to know where the RV parks are like (they gotta be good if you are staying there...right)? Thanks.🙂
Whitefish aka North Aspen. Very high priced real estate! Giant Cedars park between Libby and Noxon!!! Amazingly huge giant cedar trees...unbelievable! Really worth checking out!
From what I hear you can't get into Canada now. I watch another channel where the guy does waterfowl hunting. He usually goes up to Canada this time of year, but he had to cancel this year because he couldn't get in due to the virus restrictions. No big deal. There is plenty of beautiful scenery to see here in the good ole USA! Stay safe Russ!
The border is indeed still closed Russ - I think they do a monthly assessment so it's possibly going to re-open later in September. There are exceptions if you are in transit to Alaska, but I think there are only certain crossing points open to this. I was aiming to travel the Whitefish area this fall but that's off the table for the time being. Whitefish was in the news 2 or 3 years back when a small company there (I think it was a two person operation) was awarded a contract to restore the electrical grid in Puerto Rico after the damage caused by Hurricane Maria. This was worth hundreds of million dollars, and it fizzled as soon as people got suspicious and started looking into the deal. As for Libby there's a cool old movie theater there (the Dome) , the Libby Dam is nearby, and if you get to Troy (not far from Libby) there's a famous swinging bridge suspended over the Kootenai River & Falls.
A good thing about this virtual vacation is---- I don't have to drive! Thanks for the lift Russ!!!!!!
Nice drive through the area, I think all mountains are pretty.
Thank you for taking us on the Virtual Vacation Tour absolutely amazing.
Larry& Linda
Another awesome ride along! Such beautiful scenery. Thanks so much for sharing! Look so forward to the next one. Safe travels!
I’m really enjoying Montana! Thanks. Fast drivers must be going to work in the morning. I drive at retired speed now!

Big Mountain is the sky area. Great place to ski.
Agreed, .love these virtual drives. Also gives me great ideas of place to visit
Love those small towns. Thanks for the ride. Be Safe!
The nice lady at the RV park says "Yay, best free advertising in the US" 😀
YaY !!
Between Missoula and Hamilton, Mt. there was a saying, "Pray for me, I drive 93."
That's a beautiful drive. Camera and drone so clear. Glad you found a spot. I've got to catch up on the videos, work got in the way. Be safe. 😊👍
Thanks for going through Whitefish Russ, that's where I learn't to ski. I stayed at the Downtowner Motel - 05:40 in 2007, nice to see it's still there! Neat little town.

Keep going west from Rexford and go to Libby/Troy via Yaak area, good road and incredible scenery
Love The Yaak :)
big cold storm around there this week

Hey Russ!!! "BIG SKY" Country is BEAUTIFUL!!! Be Safe!!!
Thanks bro. Very nice. Be safe!
I stayed in the house to left at 9:53 for about a year, eureka was an amazing town, and fireside pizza was the best I ever had.
Fireside eis to the right at 11:33
You would be surprised how many Canadians came to eureka just to fish.
I'm definitely enjoying your travel russ thanks for taking me along

Eureka, Montana is one of my favorite places. Check out the great campground at Redford, west of Eureka.
Well i just happened to catch your video. Very nice trip. I lived in Kalispell many years as a kid. Visited Whitefish & Columbia Falls many times. I went through Libby a couple of times but never to Eureka. Beautiful country. I look forward to more of your trips. Thanks.

Suddenly remembered Eureka, Nevada on loneliest highway. US that you drove us through... This is another Eureka...
Russ, Whitefish is a famous ski resort. But, of course you, being an Okie living in Arizona wouldn't know that, har har...nice video, great drone view, well done!
Like your stuff . Thanks.

Good morning Russ. That Silverado RV Park look a very nice place...
Great video Russ!😊
I'm surprised that you didn't see bumper stickers that say, Pray for me, I drive 93!
Love your travels

Trucks after trucks after trucks and then SUV and crossovers, etc. Yet a few sedans.
Beautiful Kalispell. We almost moved to Kalispell. 112 degrees in Arizona
You missed the turn to the Forest Service Campground in Rexford, lots of Campsites right on the lake ( over a hundred), it wasn’t full... Great Video of out town though!

Whitefish, known as Stumptown. . .lots of trees cleared and the railroad built this town.

Thanks for sharing your vacation with us. I'm jealous! Want a sidekick on your next trip? Lol 😉
Nice ride up thru there. You could almost see Canada with the drone. You need to get a fishin" pole
This is where my husband grew up. He was born in Kalispell and lived in Eureka until he enlisted in the military. His family is still there
He grew up in Eureka that is. Didn’t realize you went through Whitefish first lol. That’s where I want to live.

Ti bad you never drove up to the Canadian border.. I am just 3 miles in from the border.. thanks for sharing your video
You will love Whitefish, Montana Small town USA
You may know a Facebook friend of mine, Leah Lindsay.
Whitefish is a yuppified shithole. That little town is so full of itself it's sickening. Used to be fun there in the 80s.
Whitefish blows, all us locals are trying to flee this libtard town....
Enjoying OUR vacation together (from Abu Dhabi, UAE)...!!
It looks as if you're going to have a chance to try out your new diesel heater :-) curious about that!
Headed there next week.

Thanks for the views.

Giant Cedars park between Libby and Noxon!!! Amazingly huge giant cedar trees...unbelievable! Really worth checking out!
Eureka is called the Christmas tree capital of the world!
Came down that way from BC.
i love RVerTV
Dudley Do Right and Horse must be watching RVerTV. Nell probably all tied up!
Wow there are 3 Eureka’s in the US. Calif. Nevada and Montana. Anymore?
There are at least 36 Eureka's in the U.S.
Vacancy Labor Day weekend...yay!!
When I was a kid, a common bumper sticker was "Please Pray For Me, I Drive Highway 93". I feel it still applies.

Are they predicting snow there? You might have to put some long johns on under those shorts. Test out that heater.
