I love the example of boundaries Michael gave about the rude woman who asked about his ex-wife, and Jackie your response was right on point. One of my friends was out of town with her beau, visiting his family, and his adult daughter asked my friend what her intentions were regarding her father. How rude! You don't ask a woman that. My friend had a good comeback though. She said, "Your dad says he's not getting married. I do plan to get married. So it might be him, or it might be someone else." I have so much difficulty being assertive in situations like that. Do you have another video that just gives more examples for dealing with rude, disrespectful people?
I always pay for a first meeting, and I have no problem in doing so. However, I have run into a couple of interesting situations. One time I could tell that a woman was not interested in me, and she insisted on paying for her meal. She was insistent, so I let her pay her share, and I think that was considerate because she had already decided that we were not a match. In another case, a woman initiated contact with me on Match, and we exchanged some messages and agreed to meet each other. We had lunch together, and I paid for the meal, and she texted me half an hour later and said that she didn't think we were a match. Again, I have no problem in paying, but maybe a woman should pay for her share if she has already decided that it isn't a match. All I can say is that the dating world is a strange place, and dating when you are older is a lot harder than when you are in your twenties.
Lovely couple! Jackie can you do a video on communication? Like there's big questions I'd like to ask on a first date so we don't waste each other's time, but how do I do that lightly? Also can you go over some ways to say something that bothers you lightly and communicate what you don't like or don't want to a significant other?

As always the first thing he says is how beautiful you were. What about us that are not so beautiful. Men are all visual. If the outside isn't perfect...what is inside doesn't count for much of anything. Now I am also too old for men..at 64 even the old ones are not interested. Which doesn't bother me so much...I prefer younger...sometimes they have more acceptance. You have good insights for attractive younger women...but last 60 is impossible.

I paid and he ended up moving in with me supporting him, It was after a long marriage then divorce, I was vulnerable needy I suppose.... for two long I allowed, he had lots of good towards me, but only to use and cheat... he’s out of my life now thankfully . Now 58 single and unsure about the dating life now, I’ve just been working on me. Yet being alone no partner has it’s downfalls, don’t think we were made to be alone . Thank you for the great info ! Encouraging! Such an inspiration you two are. 💕
This video is for us and also for them. It is an opportunity for them to clarify their love for each other all over again. It's perfect. 😊 It is difficult to find men of good quality. Most (and older) just want to have sex. That's a no go for me. They demonstrate no sense of self or desire to grow or know more of what it means to communicate or truly know a person. And what was his first indications to make contact with a woman on Match, and what were his biggest turnoffs online,.. and in person? And what about putting it out there that you are saving sexual relations for the right man only,..as in the man who she will call husband? When it comes to dinner bill, wine bill, etc, I personally would not accept unless I know that I have backup money ready in case things do not work out and he suddenly asks the woman to pay.
When Michael talked about how Jaki set a boundary by telling the woman that answering a question about his ex was out of line, I thought that he should have been the one to say that. It was his friend who asked about his ex, and Jaki was a stranger to her. I do agree that the question was out of line, but Michael should have stood up for Jaki by telling the woman that she was out of line.
