Everyone in the comments saying he not gone transition ARE OUT THEY MINDS!!!🤯NO BIGS in the league can guard one on one. If you look at the league as a whole, nobody guards one on one especially the bigs. It’s called drop coverage and he is long enough to recover, tall enough to score wit that hook. CASE CLOSED
The kid has elite athleticism for a guy 7’4 and 300 lbs. he can’t sprint like Giannis but he is much faster than he appears, he has incredible durability and endurance for the size and strength. Big time sleeper. His 3/4 sprint times tracked in the high percentiles for bigs above 7 feet.

well there is something wrong with the NBA Dan, it’s all offense no brakes. only so many big men will translate to the NBA, Zach isn’t one of them. took him 4 years to develop fully too.

Nba has changed already though. Best players in the league are big men now. Giannis, Jokic, Embiid. Wemby next up and comer. Nba is pivoting to a different style of basketball and small guys who can’t play defense isn’t what’s hot anymore

The only case that NBA pundits say about Edey’s weaknesses is that he’s not a Shooting/Point Guard combo type of player.

Its not the NFL draft outside the top 5-7 picks youre really just gambling and hoping to get a servicable guy and if youre lucky a star.
Purdue did him a disservice if he has to BEGIN his development when he gets to the NBA. Maybe they should have helped him develop some of those next level skills instead of having him looming in the paint all game. I don’t blame it on athleticism either. 2 of the 5 best players in the NBA aren’t athletic (Jokic and Luka).
yeah you don't have to be a super athlete to be great Gianni's still can't shoot outside the paint and I have him top 5 as you said jokic and luka who I have 1 and 2 are not athletes at all they have drive and big hearts
To say Luka and Jokic aren’t athletic is laughable. They’re literally professional athletes in a high speed contact sport. This isn’t bowling or poker or chess. There’s more aspects to athletics beyond running a 10 second 100m dash and having a 48” vert.
@@kman9884 I believe they’re the average athleticism in the NBA (if that), but they’re also very successful because of their development overseas. They develop and learn fundamentals to a much higher degree along with playing against pros at a much younger age in comparison towards USA born players. They’re just better basketball players in general. Athleticism can only take you so far in the league. For Edey, he is 22 and doesn’t equip any of the skills to be successful in the modern NBA in my opinion.
@@kman9884 there not very athletic there great basketball players and have a all around game but there below average speed and hops that means your not athletic jokic is almost 7 foot and I'm his entire career he has about 10 dunks Luka has maybe 2 dunks Zion get 10 a night
