I like it. It's all in on the tooly look: all brushed, slide rule, engineer bracelet and it's not as busy as a Flighty or Navitimer. They had a vision and stuck to it, which is more than you can say for many microbrand designers.
Thanks for that Bryan - that’s well put
Very nice watch. Plain, but high visibility in telling the time. That's all you need and sometimes all you want. Great review as always
Thanks mate - I think he’s got a good design going
Probably wouldn't use the slide ruler, but still made me smile. My dad used a slide ruler while working on his undergrad engineering.
While I agree with others that there is nothing to grab you, I like the watch quite a bit. My only addition would be drilled lugs. Thanks for the review.
Thanks mate - yeah drilled lugs would make a lot of sense in a purported tool watch
Great looking watch I love it 👍 thanks Ivan good review
Thank you James!
Drilled lugs would make this better. Slide rule is great!
Yeah it would!
Very fair Ivan. I see your point about polishing, the transition between brushed and polished areas can help define the shape of a watch. On the other hand, I think the SR-01 makes a great companion for the Helm Khuraburi, so, there's that. I havered for a day before backing 🙂 Much like the Khuraburi (ahem) a stainless insert would be awesome - cost might be problematic, but it would be cool. I kinda think the black version is the pick of the three, but it is hard to judge from photos, particularly of matte surfaces.
Thanks Rob - did you mean to say that a ceramic insert would be awesome?
@@PerthWAtch Oops. I was thinking along the lines of the Hamilton X-Wind. I meant a *polished* stainless insert, as an alternative to the matte black stainless insert (It made perfect sense in my head).
If ceramic can show that level of detail I would be happily surprised, but it would still look best with a matte finish imo.
Haha interesting point. Yes I’m pretty sure ceramic can show this level of detail too and can also be made to have a matte finish.
I prefer watches with no date window. Very nice. I prefer metal bracelets over rubber, leather or fabric. Very nice.
Overall very nice then!
Nice one I like it
Me too
Not bad !
Pretty good!
I gotta say it is a solid watch, slightly boring, but still it has its charms. The owner must be a huge fan of "The Thomas Crown Affair" Movie, ha ha (to choose the logo design like the bolo hat :+) I do not mind the logo. it is a pretty good logo design. $350 is also acceptable for the design and the movement. Everything seems to be well made and thought-out. But if I have to nitpick something, the watch needs "something..to grab our attention". Bit to plain. that is my only complain. Thanks for the review, Ivan. Keep it coming bit more often, by the way.
PS: San Martin came out with a new easy adjustable clasp (which I ordered to check it out, coming in a week). That sort of new adjustable clasp might have been better for this watch, to get more attention at least.
Haha I like how your noticed the similarity to the bolo hat! Good movie that :)
It is certainly on the conservative rather than wacky side... hard to strike the right chord in a world flooded with micro-brands these days yeah?
Nice watch useful bezel but for every day use it needs at least a date ideally at 6.
Date is practical for sure - 6 o’clock preferred for symmetry
👍
Very concise
Not bad Ivano
Pozdravi!
What that?
@@PerthWAtch Means "regards"/"good health"... native language. ;)
Ah very nice! What language?
@@PerthWAtch Ah, pretty much most of the Slavic languages. But my ancestry is pretty much in the South Slavic branches...
Its OK, but very unexciting
Sometimes unexciting is what’s called for :)
