People say you can't hear SQ over UA-cam but when you have hundreds of videos recorded on the same/similar device compared to each other you can tell this system sounds really good.
Also partly because SQ isn't blasting, hence the camera mic isn't distorted
True I was thinking the same thing. Sounded so clean
It helps to have high quality headphones I'm using the Sony WHXB910N headphones and I can hear the lows very well.
Good mic to record and a good pair of headphones or earbuds
There is no enclosure. Free air. Nice and doesn't need a ton of power to drive it. I've known about this car for years and I'm glad you're going to hear it and show it. 👍😊😊👍🤛
The car is the enclosure
Yea I can't believe it pushes so much air in a free-air/infinite baffle setup.
It’s called an infinite baffle
The trunk is the box
@@gabrielgalaxygh The back side of woofer has no box. It sits open on underside of car.
This is a flawless example of how important efficiency is. Which seems to be completely overlooked in car audio these days. The stereo integrity 24” subs I believe are 95dB/w@1m which is insanely high for a giant sub and an infinite baffle like this is excellent for fidelity and maintaining efficiency. Some people struggle to get the amount of bass with 20kw that they’re getting here with less than a 10th of that. Lesson here is pay attention to the efficiency ratings of the subs you’re buying bc it matters more than the power handling.
exactly
It's true, but car subwoofers are inefficient for a reason.....There is a limitation by the laws of physics, which says: you cannot have subwoofer which is efficient, has deep bass, and small enclosure, at the same time - you have to sacrifice at least one of these three things. For car audio, box size is important factor, because there is usually not much space in vehicle, and deep bass is also important, so you have to sacrifice efficiency. If you have efficient driver, you need big box, or you will not have deep bass.......But in this video, it's an infinite baffle system, so you can have both efficiency and deep bass.........
Sounds like shit
@@vladimirmikasinovic2374 You can have deep bass in a small enclosure at reasonable power levels, but it's going to cost both in money and in group delay, which is the opposite of what an SQ build needs.
No free lunches!
Well, you can have some deep bass in small enclosure with reasonable power level, but Hofmann’s Iron Law still applies.....
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josef_Anton_Hofmann#Hofmann%E2%80%99s_Iron_Law
Nicks setup is really first class. I have tons of Si products and they never disappoint. This system has done 148db @ 16hz on only 900 watts!
How much power do you think this handle IB?
I've built basically every enclosure type with the exception of IB.
The sub is rated at 2,000 rms I believe. I’m not sure if that’s true rms or that it can handle the voltage that would produce 2,000 rms into its nominal impedance and impedance rise isn’t factored in. This build is an amazing example of how important efficiency is though. The HS24s I believe are 95dB/w@1m which is how they’re doing this with under 2kw.
its about sensitivity and ohms .. Wattage says NOTHING for loudness.
1st Class
This is infinite baffle. I ve done it at the past in my bmw with 2X15 and it was awesome and the best part was that i had all of my trunk space free.
Infinite baffle is when it is in a wall with a veritably unlimited closed space. In this case the car is the baffle it is closed around the other side. It becomes open baffle if you open the windows.
This may be the craziest cleanest build I've seen here on your channel. They did a great job and the sound is amazing, I can only imagine how it sounds in person. Great job with this video!
Seriously? You obviously haven't heard anything worthwhile. Incidentally, I use two Stereo Integrity 24" sub's in my Home Theater system.
@@carlosoliveira-rc2xt wow, you are soooo cool.
His system was nice and clean sound. You can tell he had the system tuned very well. I will give him all thumbs up for build and sound in my book. Very nice demo my man.
I've seen a couple of this guy's videos of his build on that Audi. I love the entire line of Stereo Integrity products. Top notch quality and sound. He definitely did an amazing job with this build. 🏆🥇🏅🎖
That is one very unique build. Impressive.
Hella clean set up, super creative and so well put together while I love big bass set ups nothing beats a HQ crisp sounding set up with such dynamic bass and no distortion whatsoever. 👍
This build is beautiful i respect and want to build a set up like this all hidden sq or if you want low windy bass!
Louder than I was expecting!! Very cool.
It was cool but he should of invented the subwoofer so the motor and wires say inside the wagon. Then he can put his 💦 waterproof mesh over the 24" subwoofer cone under his ride.
Yeah that would of been nice but it's still very nice and amazingly loud with deep shaking bass.
@@RyanBassForLife The way I built it allows for it to be completely hidden and you can still load groceries or cargo in the car. We wanted the carbon fiber cone to be seen when the hatch was open and the floor (that's off in this video) up.
@@BatdogGarage nice but grocery on the subwoofer sounds like a very bad idea💡 hopefully you don't turn it on if you have heavy grocery on top of the subwoofers.
@@RyanBassForLife there's a floor for the back made from 1/2" square tube steel and expanded metal. With carpet over it you can't see the sub and you can throw heavy items in the cargo area just as if it were stock.
Stereo Integrity is a great company. I’m glad you got to hear this vehicle!
Absolutely wild! Those amps are awesome looking! Super super unique build... for sure
At first I was like how does thst even make sense then it hit me. The automobile IS the enclosure! Very nice.
"Then we'll get (not windy but) SCHWIFTY!!" YEAH BABY! I like what you do!! 😆
the audi clears all metal from the roads
Glad you got to hear this one.
SI team know how to build some SQ devices
The infinite baffle blows Jacob's mind. Surprised he's never heard of such a thing.
This is great, i love seeing builds like this. Nicely done.
Хуйня это и сделано хуёво. Это не играет и играть не должно, сука магнит на улице , ни ящика, ни объема, просто бл улица, да вы идиоты , вы все, тупоголовые идиоты и подлизы
I guess not everyone is old enough to remember the old Kicker free air subs from back in the day….
A clean ass build, I gotta say!
I’ve always loved the low frequency extension that IB setups provide. The recording sounds great on my stereo until the bass hits, you can still tell it’s a sweet sounding system.
Infinite baffle. Must have a nice wide frequency range, sweet build
Not really IB, it's just that You are now sitting In the box (which in turn has a port by means of lowering the window)...
@@ds1919ds1919 it is absolutely IB.
@@ds1919ds1919 no, it is true IB. the windows are closed for the demo.
Infinite Baffle or Free Air.
For obvious reasons, power handling for the driver is reduced a lot. But subsonic/infrasonic frequencies are higher than if the driver were in an enclosure.
The sub is rated for 1,000 Watts. As I said in the video, I'm sending 1,750W to it. Peak efficiency is at 16Hz. We're doing 147.4dB at the headrest on 960 Watts.
About time you posted a dope ride for us SQ guys... I have the SQL15 thats a beast.... Stereo integrity is nothing short of amazing
I love the way he said this will not be hard to show then it got windy!!!!
Super clean infinite baffle build, love it 💯🤙
Cool setup just not your typical bass head stuff.
May seem boring compared to the all out systems you see everyone having, but I played around with SQ when I was young and that's always been a part of any of my setups.
Yeah bass is the best but when you are traveling , actually driving it's awesome to hear all those little things that you lose with an overpowered bass heavy system.
I did that in the 90s with an 18 inch pyramid phase 3 on a hatch back mustang yeah it hits it makes the hatch the box and it also pounds the ground giving you good bass
LOVE this setup. Been following this guy since he started this "true" Infinite Baffle setup. I'm actually considering this in my truck. Pretty big leap, to cut a massive hole in the floor though. But the positives are 1) super efficient {windy on way less power} 2) takes up way less space without a box 3) digs deeper than any other possible sub setup.
Mount them in the back window
@@asherdie yea, I've considered that too, but then the sub(s) are up in my way, and in potential thieves faces. Nobody ever suspects a huge sub to be mounted through the floor, or would they even be likely to look for such a thing...
I’ve seen this car all over the internet about time Jacob got a demo lol
Looks just like something from ps sounds. Beautiful system thank you for sharing.
It's not an infinite baffle, its a closed one if you consider yourself out of the car ...
I would call this configuration PISE, People Inside Sealed Enclosure
Next level build 👍👍
I love that car.reminds me of my sq days.clean unique install
😮 I’ve been waiting on seeing this car an action that is pretty cool
Pssound has same type of enclosure. He can do hair tricks and it's for sound quality using an infinite baffle subs
I love Sq builds ! Eargasms 🤣👌
Love the Batdog Garage channel.
His builds are awesome.
Now that's original respect for creativity
That's badass definitely something you don't see everyday
Those amps are beautiful.
He left the bottom open!! Boss Level!! Thats Awesome!! Lets Hear It!!
dude this system sounds so clean, love it
I have two Fi Audio IB18s I bought from a guy. Hopefully one of these days I can start on a similar setup like this.
I wish you can sell them to me I have 6 fi ib3 18s 2ohm I need 2 more For my infinite baffle blow thru 2014 f150
@@gradycrislerjr40 dude I just checked out your build. Awesome
And Diamonds on my Grand Piano 🎹 😍 ✨️
The woofer set up is beautiful
Absolutely love it, this dude knows what he fook he is doing lmfao. He had you stumpped with the SQ sounds. We have drive in movies here in ohio and this would be perfect for that awesome sound and more than enough bass output. Simply put this is a masterpiece.
very clean
I haven’t seen a “free air” instal since the 90s. I’ve never seen one installed like this, nice work.
the car is the box 😎
That's AWESOME in my opinion 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥 very very clean 😎😎😎
I had one of these, I assume it was an earlier gen SI 24”. I liked it. I put it in an 11 cube ported box. Was running at 2 ohm on a Vfl 175.1. Realized it could take more so I put it on a Vfl 500.1. Liked it. Wanted to play with diff enclosures. Was going to use it in the basement. Thought I could add a pic…
The SI build is obviously very clean. Love to hear it in person. Love to get my hands on some of those amps.
6:12 That Mystikal Unpredictable album 😂
brought me back to middle school with that song, that was randomly WELL needed. I thank you lol
A.I.N.T.N.O.L.I.M.I.T. lol
@@KOLD504 nigga we B.O.U.T.I.T.B.O.U.T.I.T. lol 🦾
One of the coolest systems I've seen.
Very unique. Awesome build. 👏
That is a beautiful subwoofer.
Been trying to figure out a way to build Baseline from the Hotwheels Acceleracers movies, no longer trying to figure it out thanks to this video
I stand corrected it does have go.
That’s dope might be the best one u seen on the channel
Very good installation for gravel, wet, snowy, salty roads 😂. I guess, "long life span" sub?
LOL your face @ 5:45 .....thats me every time I turn up my IB24 ......wooooooweeeeee ROFL
Crispy Clean
This is an infinite baffle setup, otherwise known as free air. The front wave and rear wave of the subwoofer are separated. Typically in this design of a subwoofer system, the RMS power rating of the subwoofer is decreased by half. So if your sub is rated for 2,000 rms, a subwoofer can only handle half that, so 1,000 watts.
I’ve got a VERY cheap setup that I put together in my 2000 Toyota Corolla that uses nothing but 6 1/2” drivers. It has 8 woofers in an infinite baffle setup, and then all factory speakers were replaced too, once again every speaker is a 6 1/2” in my setup. The only things not cheap in my setup are the amps. A Kicker Marine 4 channel powers the mids and highs while a Down 4 Sound JP8 runs the woofers at a single 2 ohm load. It sounds decent for a cheap setup, takes up ZERO trunk space, and gets decently loud with useable output down to 25hz! Not bad for eight 6 1/2” woofers that cost $8 each!!
which woofers?
They are from Partsexpress, are 6.5” dual 8 ohm woofers and were about $8 each. I don’t remember the part number, but I do remember they have an FS of 51 hz.
Beautiful
That's probably the nicest overall car at the show too lol
I’m so jealous you got to hear this system. Batdog represent!!
Love to see this car again. The company is awesome and makes great products. I prefer sq builds
And one of my favorite Mystikal songs.... Sounds really good I wanted to do free air in my caddy that gave me a good idea
That looks like it sounds amazing
Love it!!
Uh....puddles...rain..... standing water?
Wow thats 1 of a kind
The world is its enclosure.
That sub crazy, love it
Infinite baffles hit really deep really loud!
Jason is the men
Love the interior that backward leathers on hit👍🏽
That's beautiful with about over 8k spent due to all high quality.
Awesome haven’t seen that since the 80s🤘
This is one awesome build I'm interested in.👍
I love that install
Amazing job for infinite baffle or free air build.
Powerful woofer
Very nice! That’s how you do it......👊🏻
SQ The Best
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I thought of Pssound. But Stereo Integrity? Love their products 🔥
Just gotta put a grill on the front of that piece and you still have a trunk too! Good luck finding a grill for that though. Love the build! Keep it up!
I built a grille for the back from 1/2" square tube steel and expanded metal. Carpeted it and you can't tell anything is back there.
Amazing!
The holy grail setup
SQL Never disappoints me 💯
Music isn't any good if it doesn't sound good.
When he said get windy I thought he was joking because infinite baffle setups. You know they got clear base because you don't have to fight the back wave. I understand, but you're losing in effect half of the subs output.
Benefit is there's no cancellations.
I didn't expect it to actually be a visceral windy sub, especially when you only said 1700 watts.
Actually very impressive!
This car currently does 147.4dB at the headrest at 16Hz on 960Watts. Pretty crazy for a stealth build. I'll have it breaking 150dB after the first of the year.
@@BatdogGarage The spider pack has to be just right to get low, be efficient, and keep the foil from bottoming.
Does it do best at 16hz?
I prefer louder at lower frequencies personally, but very hard to accomplish.
I love what you did with it, esp making it an SQ vehicle first, but valuable on crazy low bass as well.
@@BARBELLS-AND-BUDS it's more than the spider pack. It's Qms and Qes.
SPL tests showed it's most efficient at 16Hz, so that's why I burp it there. It will play anything you throw at it.
@@BatdogGarage I haven't been to a car show/ bass Chino in several years.
But it you are ever around Sacramento for a show I'd come to check it out
This guy know his stuff lol
I've never even seen anything like that and it's one of the cleanest builds I've seen
That's awesome ! Made my day
I saw this build in Newport Tn it’s a cool build.Sounded good and low
My partner seen Jason’s car in person in Georgia. Said it’s super nice
That's cool because it's a box in side the car and the relist of the presure it's under need
What a super cool concept! You're "in" the enclosure!
Great way to have a huge sub that takes up less space than two 10s!
Well done!! 10/10
i wish i had enough money for the stuff nick at stereo integrity builds
stereo integrity is legit probably the best place to buy the bigger subwoofers
