I love the Sub and personally own a 16610. My only issue is that it’s the “go to” for everyone who gets their first bonus or promotion at their job. I prefer to try to be a little more unique. Lately, I’ve been loving wearing my Omega Planet Ocean 42mm.
I have a hulk which is amazing but i still love my Omega Speedmaster Professional on a NATO strap, it's like you said: Something different. I also have a PAM 116 which i adore . But it doens't have to be luxury , i own a G Shock Mudmaster and it's outstanding!
excellent choice guide!! Personally I love vintage and so I have a 1680 from my birth year 1974. It's from the initial batch of white Subs as that was the year where they were transitioning from Red to White
Typo @ 1:32: You have the current two-tone versions listed as 116610 when they are 116613. I have a vast collection and own pretty much all of the modern Subs (including the Kermit), except for the Smurf.
I bought a Submariner half gold/steel black dial at an AD yesterday. Is it still considered difficult to find at an AD? I felt kinda lucky given I had no history with the store. My first rolex.
What do you think of the 124060? Personally I believe these "Covid Subs" will become very valuable in the future. Rolex closed its doors for 3 months this year (2020) and perhaps will create a high demand for Subs and Sub dates made in 2020. What do you think?
I love this guys. My first luxury watch I ever bought was from them and it was Breitling Avenger II GMT. My next watch will be a Daytona and I am going to buy it from them.
8:18 Impressive Submariner - 114060, i wonder how many people even notice subtle differences between pre and after september 2016 114060 subbys. take a rolex catalog, open on page 162 and 163 and tell me which one is better. the one on small pic on p.162 or the one that take up full p.163? you can thank my OCD ;)
the waiting list for a 114060 no date. glad to hear it was your most "impressive" choice. i'm going to buy it anyway....just joking! a very informative video, hard to keep up with all the references! thanks.
Jonathan Dougherty I really wanted to like the new Seamaster, it’s cheaper and technically superior and more accurate than the Submariner. But it is so damn ugly and can’t decide if it’s a dress watch or a diver. Have you checked out the Tudor Pelagos? I just wish they did it in 40mm.
These guys are horrible. I bought a double triple bossy deluxe, on a raft, four by four animal style, extra shingles with a shimmy and a squeeze, light axle grease, make it cry, burn it, and let it swim. Needless to say they forgot the pickles. But other than messing up my order their watch prices are very good compared to watchbox
I bought a 16610 no date, 1997, about 2 months ago. That excitement has NOT worn off yet. I love looking at it every day

Great watch, supremely overpriced and hyped hence why it’s resale value is insane right now.
this is a very good place to buy a watch, i trust them completely after buying a sub from them.
I opted for a Yatchmaster instead of a sub and Tudor GMT rather than an old Rolex GMT Pepsi.
Never owned one and don’t think I’ll get one BUT wanted to watch your take... Very insightful, thanks!
Fantastic video and a great overview. I’d love to see a similar one for the GMT.
Why didn't you guys include 1680/8 and 16618 and 116618 gold subs in this buying guide?

Good catch damachine3! And you've got quite a collection!
Blue is my favourite colour so i went for the Ceramic Bluesy. I just can’t go for a watch that is just all black, needs to have some colour
Important and valuable info. Great job!!!
Make a half an hour video of the subject!!!
I bought a Submariner half gold/steel black dial at an AD yesterday. Is it still considered difficult to find at an AD? I felt kinda lucky given I had no history with the store. My first rolex.
Thanks for the information, I didn’t know about all of those subtle differences.
Excellent video on modern sub references and recommendations! 👍
A very informative video! keep it up, cheers!!!
What about classic no date 14060m any good
Well done, probably your best vid to date! Tritium 14060 for me!

Nice knowledge sharing simplified video. Thumbs up👍
Please make more types of this video😀
Thanks! And we are definitely working on more of these!
I watched so many Submariner buyers guide videos that were total tosh before finding this one. Brilliantly done. Thank you. +1 Subscriber 😄
Can you please do a similar guide for the Sea-Dweller?
If I had to buy a Sub, it would be a 116613LN. That being said, I just bought a 16233, and that's enough for me right now.
Extremely helpful, really good job guys.
Do a video picking on Sea-Dweller thanks
nice guide
116619 flies under the radar, beautiful piece'

Hey DB,
Are you referring to the bold vs non-bold text and difference in depth rating text? We love these "OCD" details!
@@CrownandCaliber yes! And may I add that the thinner text it way more refined, making older "golder"
We love the little details like these. It briefly shows a glimpse that Rolex is still run by humans.
Do this for the Day-date!!
wow. awesome info
I bought my 114060 two years ago and I would never sell or trade it. It is the perfect watch.
Definitely the 16610T for me
Good Guide
Terrific video. Love the shimmy when camera focuses back on you. Swag
Soo any word about this Sub date give away..?
The Kermet sub would be the one I’d get.
anyone know when they are drawing the winners for the sub that ended last night?
Hi! Winner will be announced this week and will be notified by email first. Good luck!!
@@CrownandCaliber thanks for the quick response y'all
Very helpful video
awesome video!!
Thanks Jeffrey!

1: goodluck.
Ceramic no date 🤤 Waited just 2 months for mine.
Hey Eddy,
Did you think the wait was worth it?!
Crown & Caliber Definitely. Didn’t think I would get a call and I did.
😒 I want to buy a submarine, I have the money but it's so hard to get
114060 is probably the best rolex Submariner ever
wooow. great video
Very cool
Works great
What is vintage? I feel like that's all we saw.
Hey Brandon,
There's not a clear cut line, but for this video we deemed vintage anything that is a 4 digit reference number.
114060
I’ve ordered this watch 8 months ago hopefully I will receive it before I drop dead of old age !!!!
Very nice and 😎...
Yes the hulk
A no date is in my future.
Here's a Submariner Buying Guide: Don't
The End.
Hahahahaha
There’s a part 3 to that. Have buyers remorse and then buy the watch you should have got all along. Nothing else will scratch that Submariner itch.
You are correct, get the GMT like l did. Seamasters are a dime a dozen and can get them for a song used. The Rolex has to be bought from an AD.
I am just waiting till I can buy a pre owned HULK for $8K!!
HULK is best sub ever made
Overpriced and not to interested in Subs... only the blue two tone interest me..
The ceramic changed the soul of the Sub…and not in a good way
Step 1 be wealthy
Step 2 be boring.
Jonathan Dougherty I agree it’s ubiquitous but the reason it is so popular is because its just an amazing watch in terms of quality and design 🤷🏻♂️
Steel Stunners I agree partially, but I also think is simply brand recognition.

Steel Stunners Doesn’t the Pelagos come in 40mm in some older versions? I do really like that watch too.
If it were so easy to buy them now lol

Haha.. very complicated..😂
Poster of this video is a total tail end. He hasn’t a clue. Never seen or owned any Rolex. 😂
