Nathan isn’t the Seamaster 300M (not the Planet Ocean) the competitor to the Rolex Submariner while the Planet Ocean is the competitor to the Sea Dweller?
i have the new seamaster 300pro blk dial rubber strap sedna gold $8,300 and am saving for the 39mm planet ocean brown ceramic brown leather hybrid rubber strap all gold sedna case $26k. my wife has the white gold with diamonds constellation white rubber strap $16k and my sister has aqua terra with rubbies as hours red leather strap looks pink with sedna gold $10k. were omega family because omega store is by our home. we went rolex but had nothing in-stock waiting list of 3yrs. thank you for the video. my wealthy friend has the platinum tourbillon with diamonds omega $780,000 and all gold speedmaster $42k.
A more apt comparison for the Planet Ocean would be the Sea Dweller. The Omega answer to the Submariner is really the 300M, not the Planet Ocean. Other than that I loved the video! These brand guides are great
Had my planet ocean, with orange accents on rubber strap for almost a year. Wear it every day to work. Love it, its a perfect time machine on my wrist. John... great video. Thanks for sharing.
My first Omega purchase was the Speedmaster 9900 Racing co axial white face..love love love it..feels so rich on my wrist….bought it new in St.Kitts..never letting it go..
wearing my speedmaster racing with the 9900 movement right now. And I can say that after 6 months of ownership, mountain biking, working out, sitting on the side for a few days, it has stayed exactly 2.0 seconds fast per day, without fail. The master chronometer movements are truly remarkable for anyone who is considering getting one.
I love my 1861 Speedy but my favourite is a vintage 1960's Seamaster Chronostop with the Regatta dial. So much character and it still looks and performs amazing. I have it on a distressed brown leather strap and it always looks good on.
I own two Omegas. Traditional Seamaster wave dial and a Speedmaster Reduced. I can't say I have a favorite as they both get equal wrist time, but I do love them both. Biggest selling point to me was I could get two watches for the same money as one Rolex. Pretty easy choice to make.
Probably the best watch video I've ever seen. It provides a great overview of a chaotic lineup, and still manages to squeeze in the movement differences for those of us that also care about the technology inside the watches. And all this done in a nice quick tempo with information to the point.
Luckily I have a large wrist and can carry off a large watch comfortably. I have a seamaster ploprof 1200m. It came with the mesh strap but I got the orange rubber strap put on it. It’s big, thick and heavy and a beautiful watch. It’s also quite rare (compared to say the planet ocean variations) and I have never met anyone else wearing one. It attracts plenty of good comments and is a conversation starter.
I'm glad that I watched your presentation as I just bought a Speed Master Racing Black Dial Caliber 9900. I love this watch and now have some more information on it's heritage. Thanks for the post. Very Smart Video.
I own 4 Omegas.. my favourite is the globemaster annual calendar....then my 2017 black ceramic Seamaster PRO.. I also have an Aqua Terra Quartz 2017??? speedy two subdials...on a strap...got it used. Retro looking white dial.
Fantastic video....very educative and unbiased....Omega as a brand offers you all sorts of watches and movements...and none of them seem dated....I have just bought a seamaster 300 dive watch(Silver dial with blue bazel on a rubber strap) and not only is it super comfortable but also addictive to look at and wear.....also fairly reasonably priced when compared to a Rolex.....one thing that I do want to counter here is that it was with the seamaster 300 dive that they(Omega) wished to counter the submariner with...not the Seamaster 600....with that they wanted to counter the rolex sea dweller
People will never consider Omega a true hype watch alternative because there are just too many models and too many editions. But this is pretty much what Nicolas Hayek wanted, when he founded the Swatch Group back in the day: Great Swiss made watches for everybody. But unfortunately people desire most what is rare. Not necessarily impossible to get but certainly more rare than 1600 readily available Models (except some special editions). But who knows knows and watch lovers and nerds can enjoy their Omegas. Great video guys!
I literally just got my 41MM Aqua Terra green dial yesterday!! I’m loving it. But that’s not why i’m watching this vdo. I am watching this vdo just to see your face 🥶
I just picked up a planet ocean 43.5mm - 8900 black dial with steel bracelet. I’m going to do an owner’s perspective review on it soon. I love the watch!
My first big watch purchase was the Speedmaster Racing, panda, on bracelet. I’ve not seen many others and it’s such a perfect fit for me. I’d like to get a Seamaster but I’m not sure which I should go with.
Excellent video, well structured and clear. Well done ! I have just added an Omega to my watches and that is the Seamaster titanium NTTD as I found it so unique and absolutely irresistible. This is a very discrete watch, very well camouflaged, under the radar, feather light, slim bezel, slimmer profile aside from the beautiful doomed crystal. And of course it has a COSC & METAS certified co-axial movement. The co-axial movement has a direct link to George Daniel who I consider a horological heroe.
Very interesting video 👍🏻 I currently have 4 Omegas in my collection, a 1957 Seamaster from my late father, a 2008 PO with the 2500 calibre, a 2020 Seamaster Diver 300M with the polar dial face and lastly a watch that flys under most peoples radar a 2022 Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer…I would like to add a classic Speedmaster and your video has given me some ideas….cheers.
This is a fantastic overview. My everyday is a Speedy Moonphase and I think my next will be a Planet Ocean. Omega is doing very interesting things at a good price point right now.
Great video! I was missing only Seamaster 300 with 8912 and Speedmaster 57 with 9906. If those were commented on by you would make this video perfect for me 🙂
Really appreciate this video. I’ve learned more about watches in general in particular the Omega line up. I’m looking to buy my first investment watch but need more information across all watch manufacturers and series. Thanks again on a job well done. That Dark-side of The Moon is beautiful and sporty!!!
The 2000 ft water resistance for the Planet Ocean is very misleading. I have the model shown at 12:00 and whilst getting it repaired for its second flood was told by the Omega tech that the 2000 ft is cumulative not per exposure. Was confirmed by Omega. Not much good for a dive trip
The numbers of variations is crazy, I had no idea. Choosing one is not easy but I do love the Aqua Terra. For the Speedy it’s between the First In Space or the 57! I also like the Seamaster 300 Heritage but never saw one IRL. Great one guys 🤘🏻
Fab video, thank you for summarising the brand! I’d love to know, how is the constellation for ladies generally perceived in the watch community please? 😊
It wasn't mentioned but the Grey Side of the Moon is the best looking chronograph I have ever seen. Amazingly, the case is ceramic rather than steel but you won't know until you feel it. Only downside is that it's also gigantic! But that's chronographs for you. I would also rep the white dial Seamaster Professional 300m. I didn't get the hype around the SMP300 in general until I saw this walking past a boutique, and bear in mind I grew up on Brosnan as Bond. Yeah, this one is the best and it's one of the best executed white dials I've ever seen as it has a brilliant sheen to it. The markers have black outlines done in a probably v. clever way, making the watch extremely legible. The contrast with the black ceramic bezel is icing on its design perfection.
Wondering how many years of curling I'd need to do in order to fit that panda dial Speedmaster Racing... I rarely look at watches over 40mm, so I missed this one. What a great look. Wow.
One of the best features of the Speedmaster Professional is the fact it’s missing a distracting date window. I think so many watches would look much cleaner without a date window.
I respectfully disagree. I check the date on my watch occasionally, and I never have the need for a chronometer (and few people do, really). The date window is usually small, while the small dials in all chronometers impact very heavily on readability. As a diver, I find the bezel in the dive watches extremely useful but out of the water I prefer a "cleaner" look. My favourite Omega, the 2002 Rail Master. A beauty. No date!
I loved this video!!!! What about the Speedmaster Day-Date Chronograph with caliber 1151, Reference 3510.50? I was waiting for you to mention that! Still love the video though, thank you.
The best Omega range highlight ever made .
Nathan isn’t the Seamaster 300M (not the Planet Ocean) the competitor to the Rolex Submariner while the Planet Ocean is the competitor to the Sea Dweller?
Yes I agree with this.
Planet ocean is direct competitor to the rolex sub in price range hahaha
Exactly what I was thinking.
it doesn’t really directly compete with any rolex
No there is no competition to the sub
i have the new seamaster 300pro blk dial rubber strap sedna gold $8,300 and am saving for the 39mm planet ocean brown ceramic brown leather hybrid rubber strap all gold sedna case $26k. my wife has the white gold with diamonds constellation white rubber strap $16k and my sister has aqua terra with rubbies as hours red leather strap looks pink with sedna gold $10k. were omega family because omega store is by our home. we went rolex but had nothing in-stock waiting list of 3yrs. thank you for the video. my wealthy friend has the platinum tourbillon with diamonds omega $780,000 and all gold speedmaster $42k.

Other than that I loved the video! These brand guides are great
100% agreed
yeah that's exactly what i thought re. the omega/rolex parallels
Had my planet ocean, with orange accents on rubber strap for almost a year. Wear it every day to work. Love it, its a perfect time machine on my wrist. John... great video. Thanks for sharing.
Just found this channel, what a great review straight to the point , no talking for the sake of it.
"Rolex sells watches, Omega Makes watches"
Omega display time, Rolex display status .❤
My first Omega purchase was the Speedmaster 9900 Racing co axial white face..love love love it..feels so rich on my wrist….bought it new in St.Kitts..never letting it go..
Newbie here looking to make my first watch purchase, so glad I came here for the detailed information
Good presentation and easy to understand. Keep up with the good work

I have a deVille Trésor but am saving up for an AquaTerra Worldtimer. Can't wait to start wearing that one :)
I love my 1861 Speedy but my favourite is a vintage 1960's Seamaster Chronostop with the Regatta dial. So much character and it still looks and performs amazing. I have it on a distressed brown leather strap and it always looks good on.

I love omega I have a seamaster and hope to add a speedy at some point in time.
I love Omega and have both Seamaster Diver 300 and Aqua terra World timer. They are worth the price.
Purchased a seamaster 300 diver as my first premium watch this year. Blue dial and bezel on stainless. Happy with it.
Probably the best watch video I've ever seen. It provides a great overview of a chaotic lineup, and still manages to squeeze in the movement differences for those of us that also care about the technology inside the watches. And all this done in a nice quick tempo with information to the point.
Well put!:]
“Chaotic lineup” loll, but ya they rlly need to keep it simple
This is the first time many of the Omegas ever made sense to me. Thanks for organizing this guide.
I have 2 SEAMASTER VINTAGE WATCHES, I LOVE THEM BOTH.
You deserve at least 500.000 subscribers!
11:50, thickness of the PO, i think it's more of a competitor to the Seadweller, since this watch also comes in *enormous* sizes.
Right. The 300m Professional is more like the Submariner in appearance, as well as specifications.
Great video!!! Cheers!!! Omega are amazing!! This highlights so much they do well!!!
Best guide ever. Great work.
Your best content so far.
I have 1952 Omega Seamaster with the original crown & still works & holds perfect time.
This is a brilliant and informative summary! Thank you.
Great guide, but my favourite is the Speedmaster Moonphase with the calibre 9904
I guess the Constellation is not everyone's choice. I really like it tho, looks so luxurious for an everyday watch.
Outstanding video.
Clear and precise information.
Nathan, one can feel your enthusiasm and passion exuding thru...👌
I just may get me a new OMEGA since 1969...🤔
Thank you for this. Hard choice between The Spectre and No Time To Die.
The Constellation...... I love it, no matter what you say....
I'm glad that I watched your presentation as I just bought a Speed Master Racing Black Dial Caliber 9900. I love this watch and now have some more information on it's heritage.
Thanks for the post. Very Smart Video.
Superb video! Very informative... Looking for my first Speedy now...
I own 4 Omegas.. my favourite is the globemaster annual calendar....then my 2017 black ceramic Seamaster PRO.. I also have an Aqua Terra Quartz
2017??? speedy two subdials...on a strap...got it used. Retro looking white dial.
You only touched on them briefly, but the Seamaster Heritage models are just sexy…love the retro styling
Have been waiting for this since long time
That 9900 Speedmaster Racing in Black/Orange....... 😎
my favourite, the one i'm wearing now planet ocean chronograph cal 9300 absolutley love it it

Never bought a watch in my adult life. Serious. Am looking at this exact model to be my first. For me it is the only seamaster that looks good.

Reasons why I love Omega over Rolex

This is a good video for people who don't know how to use a web browser and browse to Omega's website
I just picked up a planet ocean 43.5mm - 8900 black dial with steel bracelet. I’m going to do an owner’s perspective review on it soon. I love the watch!
I have had that exact watch for two months. I like the micro adjustment clasp and that it is very accurate.
That was an awesome video. I can finally start looking at Omegas with some basic knowledge, thanks.
I love the speedmaster moon phase
I'm glad he didn't mention the long discontinued and now vaunted electric blue 2255.80 cult classic automatic seamaster.
Lol.. that’s what’s on my wrist right now.. personally I love it

Happily rocking my daily beater a 39.5mm black PO
Excellent concise yet informative summary.
Timing couldn't be better!!! Planning to buy an Omega.
You won't regret it. John
Great attention to detail in a short and crisp video 👍
I started this hobby with Omega Aqua Terra, my fav and also have to have the speedies
My favorite Omega Watch is the Seamaster Deville caliber 670
I am happy with my Mido Ocean Star.⌚🥰
I trust Swatch group. 💯
i just got a blue sea master with the steal bracelet and i have a black rubber strap it’s so beautiful
Brilliant video, helped me to understand some of those differences between the watches. Cheers!
This is a fantastic overview. My everyday is a Speedy Moonphase and I think my next will be a Planet Ocean. Omega is doing very interesting things at a good price point right now.
Thank you so much for such great information packed in one short video.

Truly awesome and very helpful video. Thanks a bunch :)

The most underrated but best looking speedy is the '1957' Broad Arrow

I also like the Seamaster 300 Heritage but never saw one IRL.

Loved the video!! I can now make a better decision while buying my first omega.
This was the best omega video.
My favorite Omega is the Speedmaster Dark side of the moon Black black. My grail watch and the perfect representation of my style and essence.

Agree on the grey side 100%.
Also agree on the white dial, it’s the best looking smp300 imo. I grabbed one when they came out
This video was awesome, thanks!
My favorite Omega is an easy choice for me: Speedmaster Professional with Hesalite crystal
Wondering how many years of curling I'd need to do in order to fit that panda dial Speedmaster Racing... I rarely look at watches over 40mm, so I missed this one. What a great look. Wow.
Aqua Terra Green Dial is my pick for best Omega.
iv already knew most of that being a big omega fan but the video is really great good job to all
What do you think of adding complications on 9900 caliber? Like the moonphase Moonwatch.
That was an amazing video! Thanks
Omega has got to be the best watch brand in the solar system!
One of the best features of the Speedmaster Professional is the fact it’s missing a distracting date window. I think so many watches would look much cleaner without a date window.
