I'm still in my first year of learning production. I didn't think I'd be getting into this kinda stuff so soon. I'm glad I am, though. And now I understand this video and the importance of it. I always wondered how to make my own sounds and now I have it. Thanks, man.
wow i never knew how the prism worked, this is really helpful and useful! I'd like to request a tutorial, or just hear what you have to say about it. I find it very hard to layer multiple synths together and then pitch bend them. Pitch bending is a big part of making basslines, as is layering synths. However when i have like a harmor, a sytrus, and a 3rd party plugin like massive, and a resampled sound through harmor or the sampler, i find it very hard to pitch bend them without getting super detuned (crappy) sounds. How would you recommend layering synths and automating the pitch/pitch bending them?
dear seamless, you told us what prism amount knob does but what does it mean if I turn it back into negative space. I got an interesting sound out of it but how does that work? negative prism?
turning the knob back into negative space will give you the inverse result of what you program into the harmonic prism line editor graph. So, the waves will kinda flip as if it were mirrored in a way.
Gian Sandoval-Lopez so if negative prism is just the opposite of usual prism what advantage do you get out of it? Because it actually will sound similiar / same to not-inverted prism right?
In terms of the sound, I suggest just trying it out yourself. Compare both. My hypothesis is that the timbre of the sounds will be only slightly different for both.
Hi seamless, ive tried the ultrasmooth setting and the entertain me option. But nothing helps towards getting the animations as smooth as yours, for example, the light effects of the Eq2 looks good on your side, but not on mine, and the visual feedback in harmor is less chopped up than mine. There shouldnt be a prob with my pc, its a good one. What to do?
Morphine isn't a very good VST. Try making a simple Saw-like wave by dragging the harmonics, for some reason the waveform is rectified as a Sinc wave (view on wave candy or oscilloscope). Also the morphing only interpolates harmonics and not waveshape. Very limited and outdated, it needs a huge update. You can make some quick additive organs or pads, but otherwise it's not useful.
I've enjoyed your tutorials, thanks for doing what you do. I have a question, will cranking the prism amount detune my sound too much? My ears aren't trained to really tell...
Hi, Seamless can you remake this basses please. Varien - Scrap Metal (Original Mix) Dino Safari - Ghost Named Charlie (Original Mix) Varien - Lilith (Original Mix) Dino Safari - Ghost Named Charlie (Au5, Auratic and IYFFE)
hey bro i appreciate your tutorials. but you should realize that a lot of people watching are completely new to this. So when your running your mouse up and down the screen for no reason it distracts us because we don't know if you are clicking something. Please don't move the mouse around unnecessarily. Instead, keep your mouse hovered over the function you are currently discussing. This way it's description shows up on the top left and our eyes aren't distracted. Thanks.
5:40 That's what I'm talking about :)

Hahahaha I love your face at 2:14, it's the facial expression equivalent to that sound. Too much prism will melt your face. :D
Thanks for the tutorials :)
Thanks for this was going to ask what a good point to commit was but you kind of answered it for me.
thank you.
Thanks
Thank for this great video! :)

Seamless. Your the man! Thanks for doing these! Are there any tuts like this for Morphine?
