Such a short, easy-to-understand, explanation on par with other vids with a bunch of automotive jargon. Very well done! I've been searching for vids like this but always found it difficult to understand completely. Now I know which route to go for on my hothatch! Thanks man! More vids like this! Peace out!
Great info on this video. I plan on eventually installing headers so sounds like you suggest waiting on the exhaust. If I go with headers, cat back system and leave the factory cats is that going to hinder the flow? Also if I remove the cats will I pass emissions, Illinois? Thank you and keep up putting the good information.
Bakir Bakir no bro my friend has the same setup with headers and like I said it’s not to loud when your easy on the gas or cruising but when you get on it it’s loud as hell
If your going for just noise put an x pipe system in with normal mufflers, throw a set of electric cutouts alittle in front of the diff, make sure it dumps down and out. This way when your running on the highway right in the drone range of rpm you can close them. And the car becomes factory quiet. When you want noise open them up. No muffler system will give you any more power. You need to do an entire headers to muffler upgrade with a tune to achieve the extra few horsepower you'd gain from exausht work.
Hey Guys! I’m planning on buying the Borla S type exhaust for my 3.7L V6 Mustang 2014. I’m debating between a catback and an axleback. I heard that Borla S catback midpipes are the same size as stock mid pipes so I wouldn’t be getting any sound difference comparing it to just an axleback. Correct me if I’m wrong please! I wanna know if there is any sound difference between Borla’s axlebacks and catbacks. Thank you!
@@alif7608 there’s nothing wrong with 6cyl engines. Plenty of fast cars have them. But a Mustang? Challenger? Charger? Camaro? Those are muscle cars chief. Anything but a V8 in those machines is a joke. Seriously.
@@alif7608 again, not tryna hate. But V6 “muscle” cars are a laughing stock within the car community. You aren’t really driving a Mustang. But maybe this is what you can afford, which in that case go ahead and buy an exhaust system
Funny story - I installed a much lighter cat back exhaust on my truck and also installed a heavy ass hitch receiver. The two have balanced each other out 🙄
So if I get an Axle back, could I make it sound similar to an Cat back? If so, how could I? Example: I have a 14 GT and a Corsa Axle back, how could I make it sound like a cat back?
Get the double helix h pipe from American muscle, it’s the x pipe that’s included in the corsa cat back system . So take it to a shop get the resonators removed and replaced with the x pipe
Bros basically right but talking out his ass in regards to hp, headers can bet you a solid 50 hp on a 5.0 but Headers+ Full exhaust is easily 75-100 hp gain

Jerome Ebuenga I really appreciate that!! 🙏
I always wondered what exhaust system refines the true natural sound of a 5.0. Having Drone in New york will get the whole neighborhood hating you.
But u love in cali how u gonna cat delete is it legal there? I’m like 90% it isn’t
$574 for Roush axle backs? I got mine for $465 like 3 years ago... I guess they figured they could charge more and they’d still sell?
And They Were Right
Would Corsa extreme plus axle back with xpipes sound much better than Chevy NPP?
if you put the axle back on, does it affect the catalytic converter? In other words, will it still pass the emissions test?
Yes it will still pass
Anything after your cats, your good
@@jaysteez2025 I am taking my cat off
@@trumpisinthekkk6640 full send bro fuck those cats
How about borla axle back?
Borla Axel is dope. I have it on my EVO.
Very informative! Well done
good axle back without bad drone? any suggestions would be appreciated
I have a vw Jetta and was wondering what one would be better and suggestions

On m3 e46 if I stay with stock oem sec two and use megan axle back exhaust would that hinder sound or flow
I just bought the Corsa Xtreme 3in for my 16 GT yesterday. Can't wait for em to get here next Friday! (:
Thanks bro.
Will go with the Roush Axle Backs since I just saw them online, and don’t want to void my warranty :)
What would you advice for a 540i 2018 ? Looking for performance and want it louder but not too loud, just medium so thinking about a catted downpipe
You look like jay critch lmao
I said the same thing 😂😂😂😂
Wait real question, some one pls respond.. he said the roush axle back and x pipe doesn’t drone much, is that true ? I’m thinking of getting it soon.
Bakir Bakir it does not drone at all have that setup it’s real quite when you want it too and loud ass hell when you want it too
People always think I got headers
Alex Rami do u think if I added headers to the set up it would be “too loud”
Bakir Bakir no bro my friend has the same setup with headers and like I said it’s not to loud when your easy on the gas or cruising but when you get on it it’s loud as hell
I got jlt cold air intake, borla stype catback and bbk shorty headers
Do u get any check engine lights?
Jordan Harris what color is your Mustang it’s hard to tell.
Carl Miller it’s called guard green
Catless headers + Corsa Sport = Best setup
Facts !
It’s sounds so obnoxious and loud though. Raspy as well.
@@m3ntal1ty20 No it’s not. Also this was 3 years ago bruh lol
@@thesudzy22 It was huh? Swore this video was newer. But that’s just my opinion bro.
Best for like no drone?

Christian just get an off road xpipe
Get the double helix h pipe from American muscle, it’s the x pipe that’s included in the corsa cat back system . So take it to a shop get the resonators removed and replaced with the x pipe
+Fernando Sandoval Chavez double helix x pipe*
Fernando Sandoval Chavez they do not make the double helix for the 13-14 GT's. It's so hard finding stuff for the 13-14's... ):
+Christian oh yeah I forgot , well try a solid x pipe from a good brand , either way you’ll sound nice
Dam the roush axle back is just as much as most 3 inch cat backs
without retuning your engine it will be louder and slower!
What do you mean without tuning your engine after change exhaust system especially full system exhausted ?
