Hey everyone! This video has been blowing up lately and I've been getting comments about how *GRID: Autosport* is a much, much better game than RR3, and so I wanted to let you know that GRID was released *after* this video went up, so I haven't gotten the chance to try it out yet. Take this video as my own retrospective on how RR3 used to rule the world of racing games on mobile.
Aaand, since people *absolutely need an answer* to a question I left open on purpose for everyone else to answer on their own: No, Real Racing 3 probably isn't the best racing game on mobile anymore, beaten by games like Assoluto Racing and GRID: Autosport.

In all honesty: RR3 is good, but it's gameplay and physics hold it back.
The gameplay doesn't even let you race, half the time your doing these stupid time section crap, whilst your car is wearing down meanwhile.
The physics feel more like your watching them rather than driving it, and overall feel like a boat.
Ideas for the game are practically limitless, but If they were to team up with somebody that can make good physics, and perhaps let every race be a race weekend style event, with practice quali and a feature race. Get rid of the time snap things, and make it feel more like an organized racing series or a championship for a career mode, put the REAL in real racing.

@@alansaviojijo9592 it's not about the assists bro. The physics are really bad. All the rear wheel drive cars have that sudden loss of traction. In real life it is more gradual. If you want to understand what RR3 is missing, try the game called Assoluto Racing. The physics are magnificent, though the gameplay is lacking. Well, atleast it doesn't ask you to do costly services. The new game Grid: Autosport is supposedly amazing. I haven't had a chance to try it yet though.

sadly, you forgot to address how greedy the in-game transaction works. Either you'll spend real life hundred of dollars just to buy one car plus more dollars for upgrades and decals, or you'll grind for months just to have that gold required to buy your fav car and to upgrade it just to advanced to the other races.
It's still better to invest into buying a ps4 and a forza/granturismo game

I JUST FOUND OUT A HACK
The hack includes a 100 percent saved game except for new events ofc
It includes all vehicles unlocked and bought except for the new releases.
It also includes like millions of RS and thousands of gold coins
Like its like a dream come true for RR3 fans.
I tried it but sadly, the fun wasnt there anymore. You play for nothing too. You can ride the most expensive and fastest vehicle but after winning, whats the poiny when its already completed? Then I realized, the journey was better than the destination.
But if you play RR3 without hacking it, the whole journey sucks ass bec its a pay to win game. And itll take you forever to finish it.
So in conclusion, i still prefer yall buying a gaming pc or a console and just buy Forza, GT or any other racing games out there that aint pay to win. Id rather play Midtown Madness than this crap lol

What the above comment above me said. If you really want some actual real racing, play something like R3E, AC (even Competizione), GTSPORT (even the PS3 releases: GT5/6), pCARS2 (the first installment lacked in content), and maybe even Enthusia that was released in 2005.
Free-to-play mobile games in general are nothing but cashgrabs.

I worked on Real Racing 2 at Firemint, and I'm still really proud of this game, as well as the follow-up RR3 (although I left near the start of that project). Firemint was a great place to work!
I structured the Career Mode in RR2 - which events come up in each Tier, and how they were balanced (in terms of the AI difficulty, and the rewards for each placement, etc). Was a lot of fun!
I also recorded a fuzzed out rock track for the game called "Escape from Neptune"! :D Not sure if that's still in the game or not. :D
Shit no wonder why rr2 was better than rr3, you have my respect sir/ma'am. The career mode was fucking amazing 👏

Actually it is already had realistic physics but if needs to be the best of the best
1. There should be a weather system mechanics added to the game with effects
2. And a whole new sky texture
3.also a new practipation system mode before the race starts
4. The game should have the nürburing Nordshicfle track before all these updates
5. It does need a rally racing mode as well it wasn't fun without that rally racing while there are already 1 rally car in the game
6. For the other car sounds like Lamborghini huracan series and the Gallardo should have a new v10 engine sound
those soundtracks instantly took me back to 2014 when i was a careless kid playing rr3 for 3hrs straight and watching my replays thinking i made the best ever lap known to man kind
This game deserves respect just for the fact that it is still one of the best looking racing games on android even after 7 years

No they don’t! When I play sometimes they take each other out and I like to do it to them too. A lot of racing games don’t let you do that! The AI is pretty decent and anyway it has multiplayer!

The music was definitely music to my ears even if I got sick of it, the ending was probably the most critical as I enjoyed that one the most.
I love the review and still call this the best game except for one flaw (for the iOS) where the files get deleted shortly.

I remember playing this game quite a bit, but it required me to buy new cars to enter cups. I also needed more people on my team, and all of it was heavily weighed towards spending. You could get money from online races, but the online races were usually flooded with hackers who would slide around the track, making not losing speed through the grass or corners. Eventually I gave up on it and bought Real Racing 2, which I played for a lot longer and enjoyed more as a game. I would say RR3 would be the best mobile phone game if it wasn't for it's freemium setup that makes it near impossible to progress without spending
Heck, for a mobile game it's mind boggling how far we've come! This game looks incredible. Great video btw, solid commentary and the editing is fantastic!

It's a really old game, and it starts to show its age in a lot of categories. Honestly, they should try making a new game, since this can't compete with GRID autosport.Dont get me wrong, I love this game, but it's time to let go

@I Am Sekou The graphics, even tho they still look good can't compare to newer games, the physics aren't that great, why do you slow down when going off track? I know you shouldn't do that but even the smallest mistake can ruin the entire game.There is no manual gearbox,you can't oversteer like in real life and the damage models, even tho they were great for the time, don't look as good as other games

I think Assoluto Racing now should be recognized because they just added update that has nordschleife. The first mobile game to feature it. They are also generous by giving frequent login bonus of 100 coins and 1 import ticket per day for 5 or 8 days, usually after a big update or a gacha event in the game that has new cars.

RR3 is the best racing game for mobile IMO. You can get hours and hours of gameplay for free. The only problem is spending money is outrageously expensive, even compared to other freemium games. Some cars cost 1,000 gold, which is $100, for a single car! Want to complete the new special event to earn a "free" car? It'll cost you 300-400 gold ($30-$40). Yes, you can get gold for free by grinding and a few gold per day by logging in, but many of us don't have hours to play a game every day. As long as you can skip the constant new events and not feel bad about it, this game is a lot of fun.
You should farm R$ and FAME to get new level and earn Gold. That's easy but very very long.

Dont get me wrong, Assoluto Racing and Rush Rally 3 can both be great, but Rush Rally is a rally game (obviously) and Assoluto was fantastic, before the 2.0 update (relased on June 28th), when they made game to heavy to run properly on lots of devices. None of those games are "tablet friendly" either, while RR3 is

@@BajaToxic I was irritated by that too, but I accepted it and It just dont bother me anymore. Assoluto was offline until the version 1.14.2 (which came on 3th December 2017), in that update Infinity Vector (developer of Assoluto) added cloud saving. Problem is, that you can't play older versions of this game, so you wont be able to experience offline Assoluto, but I think that is not a huge problem in the first place.

Well, infinity vector is a smaller group compared to EA so they don't have the resources to add tracks or cars like EA do on rr3. (sorry if my English isn't the best, but it is not my principal language)

those are usually a lottery if they will work and how up to date they are. Its better to just reroute in-app purchases and make the game think you actually paid. But that method has gotten more difficult on non rooted devices.

Top Drives has the nordscheliefe before it but it was not able to be driven on because it’s a car card game. Assoluto is great also

I have been playing rr3 for years now and will be doing so for many yrs to come. LOVE it !
Still, I missed the old day of RR3 where you don't have upgrades and PR system, the only downside is that there are fewer cars and you need service for individual components (e.g. refills, suspension, tires etc.). I was planning on how much time before I could get the agera R in the game, which costs 800 gold and was the best car. Now look at what we've got? 100 gold EACH for two old civic/integra type R? No offense to the honda boy, but that should be just as the same price as S15 or 350Z/370Z, which can be bought with R$, not GOLD. And not to mention the whopping 1013 gold engine upgrade for 919 EVO!!! For me, I just don't think upgrade is a good thing. cuz with those insane performance buffs, the car is just not the same anymore.

Even though RR3 stayed the longest I'd pick Assoluto Racing since that game is the most realistic car game on mobile. Heck it's almost like Asseto Corsa.

this is a good, short review of the game, but if you title the video like that, one would think that you were going to make comparisons to other racing games on mobile, like Gear.club, Asphalt series, GT racing series, and more.
I remember when I played this game first in 2013. The background art, the car models and that song (Rusko: Everyday) made me so happy as a 13yr old. I'm 20 now but hearing that song with the GTR background makes reminds of summer and happy moments I spent with that game. It's hard to explain but it feels like summer memories when I think about this game.
It's weird getting nostalgia over a game that is being supported still.
I loved this game in my childhood. It was great. Progression was really good, as i remember reaching a pretty good point in the game before i had to stop.
Came back a few years later only to realise it was very P2W and much harder to progress than before.
The game will always have a place in my heart though.

Realistic physics and RR3 really don’t go together in my opinion, look at the cars’ movements through corners. They stay completely flat as if there are no G forces.
And if you overspeed into a corner, you’d be expecting to understeer off the road in real life or a somewhat realistic simulation, but in RR3 your car just turns 90° and then slides out sideways.
Not hating on the game, but after having played a few other titles, both mobile and PC, the physics in this one feel almost empty.
The game has amazing attention to detail, (and it has aged incredibly well since then), but the business model and the lack of proper physics... had it had a more simulation-like approach, and a less pay2play-ish kind of progression, I’d pay serious (but reasonable, of course) money for this game.
P.S. maybe I could honestly turn a blind eye on the physics even, since it probably isn’t aiming to be a race sim someone would practice driving on, but please, don’t suck out all of our money...
and if realism in driving dynamics isn’t the main focus of the game, a different name would suit the game better, I guess...

assoluto racing is also a mobile game. but the physic is very accurate compared to rr3.

Grid mobile imo is now the best racing game on mobile buy FAR and is definately worth the $9.99. The graphics are landslides above the competition.
I like the fact that they don't put in IAPs. Buy the entire game once, all content is yours to unlock just by playing.
I've only tried the Demo as I want to get a feel for the physics, which are harder for me to get the hang of, probably something to do with my steering settings.

Back then I think if you had enough gold you get a car on a higher tier and race the series. After they added the new menu update you have to unlock it one by one.
This was the closest thing I had to a portable Gran Turismo like game. I do still think that Asphalt did a better job in terms of replay value and accessibility, but this was still a great game on its own.

I've had this game on my phone When I really got into Gran turismo back then.
I was always practicing the Realife Tracks on my phone When I was away for the school, and I played Gren turismo 6 when I was at home and My muscle memory for Realife Track was still intact! It was a Brilliant way to Practice my Muscle memory for Tracks anywhere, anytime!

I thought someday RR3 would die but the F1 update really surprised me with those awesome F1 cars and they will bring the Agera RS as well in this update. This game stayed alive for over 6 years while other games like Asphalt 8 just died this year because of the overly P2W system while for RR3, golds are very easy to grind with daily log ons, one thing that the F1 update made me happy is that they created a new currency called M$ so that the new players can earn the new F1 cars with the same amount of times and skills that the old players have :D

I suddenly remembered this game and downloaded it again since I had a lot of fun with it.
Seeing the 911 is no longer the tutorial car was painful since this game made me fall in love with Porsche.
Seeing the Silvia and the Focus are no longer the starter cars made me uninstall it and never touch it again.

I like how people compared Assoluto with RR3, i'm kinda surprised Assoluto is not that underrated. Probably because the new update they're getting attention again?

Believe it or not, I just started playing this game. I'm 50 years old, and this is just the second mobile phone I've ever owned. And I sympathize with those who have been with the game even before the original developers were swallowed up by EA, because they feel they aren't getting the updates they want and deserve. Bu,t for someone new to the game, like myself... where am I gonna find the time to all THATT?! I was able uto get it free at the Google store just like everyone else, and this game was EXACTLY what I was looking fot justlydkbif I'll ever have the time to complete it all. Ha. am i the only one that remembers GT Racing: Motor Academy? i can't find a working download anywhere which sucks since it's the game im most nostalgic about :(

Um, what about GRID Autosport? Rush Rally 3? Assoluto Racing? Car X? Those are all Simulators/sim-cade for mobile that can compete with if not even better than RR3. Maybe if a different company besides EA had RR3 it would have been 10x better. Like I think all of those games are better than RR3.
rr3 has shows huge potential time to time with battery charge, tyre degredation, engine heat, tyre heat... formula1, formulae, lemans liciances. those guys able to recreate almost every car ever built. it is an immortal game.

@@lheluxracing But it has a terrible soundtrack. And it can only be played online. Even the singleplayer requires an internet connection! So, if the soundtrack was improved and you could play it offline, it'd be a much better game. Plus some of the animations for snow and stuff need to be improved a lot.
