I thoroughly checked the technical descriptions of numerous machines, and I chose the Magnifica EVO before I saw your review. So, are you reading my mind? 😯
Great video, Joe. I went ahead and bought one on black Friday. I decided to get the one with the automatic frother, and I'm very happy with it. My only complaint is that the coffee (I usually make a cappuccino or a latte) does not get very hot - even on the highest setting. I just microwave it for about 30-45 seconds afterward, and it gets as hot as I like it. I also tried heating the cup beforehand - which also works fine.
@@3DPUK-TECH-CHANNEL Thanks. Is there any way to make two lattes (double latte not extra shot) with double the milk without cleaning in between each one? What is the x2 function for? Also, how do you just make frothy milk for a kids 'babychino?
I think you would still need to descale every so often yes... the reason for this is the heating element within the machine will slowly scale up filtered or unfiltered water has the same affect 🤔 I believe. Thanks for watching don't forget too like and subscribe 😉
There are a number of incorrect facts in this video. The component you removed from the right hand side, is not the grinder, it's where the grounds enter after grinding, ready to be compressed and infused. The initial flush of water when turning on, is to heat your cup with hot water. You can press the button next to the 'clean' button to re-warm further cups.The purge you mentioned only happens when you turn the machine off. The drip tray shouldn't be filling up, place your cup under the spout when turning on. The grinder adjustment is not for different shaped beans, it's set to your preference on first installation, then it can be adjusted as the grinder starts to wear over time. The container at the bottom collects used grounds, not capsules (unless that's what you personally call the waste grounds). It's not eXpresso, it's eSpresso. 😉 Sorry if this appears over critical, but anyone considering this machine will probably appreciate it. Otherwise a nice video showing us around the machine.
@Gadgetonomy thanks for your input 👍. So the initial flush is to clean the internal flow pipe (information from supplier) to ensure residue from previous usage. The grinder i agree with as taking a further look since video it's actually not the grinder (so thanks for the update) the catch tray underneath is to be emptied often due to liquid ingress hence the red float indicator. The bean dial at the back is actually for bean flavour strength to allow intensity (supplier information) and lastly I call them coffee pods as if you check the inner catch tray they give the impression of a coffee pod. (My terminaolgy) and agree on the espresso wording. Thanks again for your added info. And thanks for watching in detial
Nice instruction use video! I bought one last Saturday 6 July 2024. I returned it today, July 8, because the included instruction to set up the machine was a kind of Ikea pictures manual, imo totally unusable and the machine completely crashed after several attempts. The retailer will do their best to get the device working and deliver the machine to my home adress in working condition. What I miss outside of this beautiful video is an installation video (first use). That would be the icing on the cake!
I have had the same problem. Somebody else said they got an easy start photo guide, full colour. I didn't get one. Hate it as I haven't even been able to make one cup yet. Was on the verge of returning it when I saw this video. I'll give it another try.

Great video, thanks However, for 2 months I have had the same coffee machine, and for the last few weeks, I have noticed a pretty annoying error. At the first cappuccino in the morning not every day, after selecting the drink, the milk froth process starts and after one second suddenly stops with the red triangle warning light, the grounded coffee ready is dumped in the tray whiteout brewing. Once I see that, I turn off and on the machine, sometimes reconnecting the milk dispenser and the light disappears. I've tried to reach Delonghi Support over the phone, I explained to them everything also in an email with pictures, and no answer so far. Today I claimed the warranty and on Monday they will pick it up. Has anyone had any similar issues with this kind of machine?
When you see a triangle with an exclamation mark inside it while selecting My Latte or Cappuccino on the DeLonghi Magnifica Evo ECAM290.61.SB coffee maker, it indicates a warning or error message. Follow these steps to solve the issue: 1. Check the display for any error message or accompanying code. These will provide more specific information about the encountered problem. 2. Make sure the coffee machine is correctly connected to the power source and turned on. 3. Check if the water tank has enough water and is properly inserted. 4. Check if the coffee bean container is filled with beans and closed correctly. 5. Check if the milk container is correctly attached and filled with milk. 6. Clean and descale the coffee machine for optimal performance. 7. If the problem persists, contact De'Longhi Customer Service for further assistance.

If u press coffee beans to low .. then press coffee and it adds to cup if u press the coffee again it will.stop it at your chosen point

@michelefiorilla9714 best way is to fill the frother with full amount of milk do first one with 1 shot.. then swap over and do same again
We buy filtered water for drinking and cooking. So do we need to descale and use provided the filter?

Comes out really warm but perfect temp to drink you can also adjust the temp through the settings

to be fair its fairly simple to setup.... it does request you too carry out a pre start descale. thats a little confusing... hope it works out for u

@TheKevWig press cog with x2 next too it and the mylatte button once then the beans light up changed it to the full bean which I'm the hottest setting

To be honest I can't answer that one... I I have pressed the my latte and it then dispenses the coffee after, if I find out otherwise I'll reply
