No vent port for an exhaust setup? That’s unfortunate
Never understood why people complain of fan noise with these dryers. Your setup shouldn't be in your living space.
Just because a product is loud, doesn't mean it has to be loud. Necessity (for some) is the mother of invention and the reason we have better products available to us. I have it in my office, and while I don't live in or intend to print while I'm there, if a print takes long enough there can be overlap. If two products perform the same with one doing so with less noise, I know which one I'm picking.
Great detailed review! Thank you. Just one thing... Its pronounced S press Oh (only mentioning it because I'm Italian. No offence meant lol)
the heated vat is realy a plus for me to buy this one next to my other S4U - although I have some questions about the heated vat. And I hope you can give me an insight. There are two 'heater' functions on the printer, the 'heater' and the 'pre-heater'. When you select the pre-heater function you get a warning that the resin level needs to be between the 'min' and 'max' level indicated in the vat - otherwise it is going to damage itself. The pre-heat function will warm up the resin for 24 hours - so my conclusion is that the resin level needs to be between these levels while printing... So, no large prints can be made. Or am I missing someting? The other function is the 'heater' which will warm the resin up to 25 degrees - but do you get here the same warning? In other words: does the resin level with this heater function as well between the min and max level of the resin tank? thanks in advance.
@plac3b000 hey thanks for watching , so thr preheat function allows for a heat to start 24hrs prior the min and max line is monitored by the ai camera and mechanical sensors. As the vat heats up its agitated with the plate so If your above the fill line it will likely spill over, I'm guessing maximum line i guess is the key word. The alarm was raised based on over filling not the heating function. The print starts once temp is optimised
@@3DPUK-TECH-CHANNEL thank for the quick reply. Meanwhile I found the pdf of the printer in which the following is mentioned: Important Notes: 1. Maintain the resin level above the MIN line and below the MAX line when heating resin in the tank Which tells me that I have to monitor the resin level while using the heater function...
@plac3b000 that's interesting to hear. So I'm guessing without auto fill capabilities it's a standard requirement for larger prints I'm guessing. Not ideal large printing ud think this would have been taken into consideration

Thank you for sharing this, look's like you had a great day out...😊😊
@Andy203504 many thanks Andy was great to see the new technology

i am torn between this and ikier model for my fightstics.
@PandorusFightStick I do really like this laser however I haven't used the ikier so can't give honest comparison I'm afraid. Thanks for watching
I got the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 12k for Christmas last year and I'm very happy with it and any pint fails have been because of me not the machine I love the heated vat on the 16K but I'm going to grab a brewers belt or the Elegoo for my current machine and as for the light in the new model I can just grab a little USB powered light and put that in P.S and the new machine has got a smaller build plate as well
Elegoo just knows how to do resin! Good improvements over last year's model. Great review!
@TripodsGarage it's definitely improved. I had zero issues and I'm a novice user of resin. That coupled with the Eibos Oceanus in enjoyed resin printing again. Thanks for your kind comments, coming from you that means alot 🙏

hola puedes grabar en metacrilato? plexiglas?
Nice prints. Nice time-lapse. Most importantly, heated VAT allows resin printing in cold sheds and garages. Awesome!

hi, its possible to install rear and lateral fans in K1 SE in order to print abs?, I can install custom panels and door easy but need to know if the printer comes with cables for the fans or at least theres place to plug them like the camera

@@3DPUK-TECH-CHANNEL Im looking for this info as well. I did order a K1SE ( and order a camera and panels& door, fans ) but hasnt arrived yet. I didnt look into to it before ordering that. I hope the printer can print abs and other carbon fiber filament, if i add that stuff with out changing the firmware or do I have to hack the firmware? thanks for any info
Can the heat be adjusted on this model?
Hi. Do you still recommend the iCube 10W or is this a far better machine?
@RobDoyle-z9c hey thanks for watching so both are equally amazing, I had some teething issues with the icube but that was user error on my part. Overall there very alike. It would be more on price the decision should be based
I have also noticed some very similar machines like the Wainlux K10 and the Cloudray Laser Engraver Bm1
Comes with 4 squares of double sided tape to secure the light
@@kboreliz yes I did find that in the end 👍
Adding actually engraved test guidance is a good idea.
@@3DWithUs appreciate that
Great video , purchased the K1 Speedy just over a month ago, the Speedy & SE are the same price in the UK (£339),. Mine came with the new version 3 extruder, ceramic hot end & hardened steel nozzle (Unicorn, I think ?). Upgraded with the camera, which I think makes it almost a K1C, apart from the carbon filter & the smaller X/Y axis pulley gears that are fitted on the K1C. The C has these to improve the VFAs & ghosting of the early K1s?
Just commented on your z offset video; my stock extrusion was ~92mm with E steps set at 405. Ended up with it at 448 to get the full 100mm. My Max does have a 'semi-'direct drive mod with the extruder about an inch above the entrance to the hotend. I never checked E steps before the mod, so I don't know if that change had any effect.
I m sorry but you dont know to explain clearly what you are doing there.
@@catalinconstantin8080 explain why
Any idea whether this firmware (or the later versions now available) will allow seeing and adjusting E steps from the control pad? It's not at all convenient to get a usb cable from computer to printer for pronterface. Failing that, do you know the 'stock' E steps setting in the firmware? Mine seems to be under-extruding by about 3-4% (3mm over 100mm extrusion) using a gcode file found online, but I have no idea what number to start with to adjust it using the 'card' method to run the gcodes. Thanks!
@@rv7builder397 M92 X80.00 Y80.00 Z800.00 E390.000
@@3DPUK-TECH-CHANNEL Perfect! I did find an old usb extension cable for Pronterface hookup, and the printer shows up as Comm3 but Pronterface can't connect. I'll try using the memory card to make the adjustments. Many thanks. ...Followup: I managed to get Pronterface working, and found your other video on setting E steps. Followed the procedure and got it calibrated. FWIW, my 'stock' setting was 405 and I ended up at 448. It was almost 8mm short of 100mm before adjustment.

Creativity customer service will give you and STL file for a cover that fits their extruder, but you have to email them directly....
@@hojen321 thanks for the update
On my K1C, both screw holes on the right side of the extruder (the side with two screws) for attaching the extruder assembly into the print head do not align properly. The holes in the extruder are slightly higher than the holes in the print head mount. You must push very firmly on the top of the extruder before the screws will catch and thread in. This is not the case with the stock extruder - it just pivots into place and the screws thread without issues. Also, the K1C does not have the extra bit of Bowden tube between the extruder and the print head. There is a built in metal tube that serves that purpose.
@@roamingchemist2514 that's interesting to know
I’m literally experiencing this on my K1 Max lmao
Thanks for the info, was about to buy the extruder but I beleive that I will wait for a new version compatible with the K1C.

When you did the self check when it went to input shaping did it make a really loud noise and start vibrating because mine did I was afraid I was going to mess something up
Hey yes unfortunately it's something it does. It's always a shock at first
@3DPUK-TECH-CHANNEL it's like really loud it's supposed to do that?
@ConnarBell normally quite loud but definitely check it fully makes sure nothings loose
What sort of interface does the laser module have as you can get a 20watt module for £200 from the elegoo site.If it has pwm/ttl that would be an amazing upgrade for my cnc
A surprisingly compact machine!
@@3DWithUs it's definitely compact
Does it have double espresso function?
Ahhhhh, I printed the same AMS riser. I added little foam strips to the glass tabs to keep it from wanting to shake out or accidentally shattering.
@@AceOfSpadezCC great idea
@@3DPUK-TECH-CHANNEL Was necesary. The first time I started printing, I went in to check it and the glass was teetering on the edge of falling. I went from the top front, to the back and to the front of the under side on all tabs, incase I want to put it in at an angle for controlled venting it keeps the glass from vibrating and wanting to shatter.
No files found on the ****/3dpuk website; have they moved?

@@3DPUK-TECH-CHANNEL Many thanks! I just downloaded the '20241214T152012Z-001' version; is that the latest?
Well, I'm stuck on the 1st file move; I don't see a '.def.json' file at all, after extracting all the nested zip files. Did the process change for the new files?
@rv7builder397 I'll be honest it's quite an old printer now so some files may have drop off the system.
Do you consider this k1 se printer a reliable printer? I could get k1 SE for like 315 usd vs the bambu a1 for 375 (im from mexico, those are the current prices) i decided to go for the k1SE. I do like a lot more the idea of a core xy printer for even cheaper but im worried cuz this is would be my first printer and i've heard creality has a lot of quality control issues while bambulab is just easy printing. I do like tinkering and learning from fixing things since im in the custom built pcs hobby i just dont want something that makes me not wanting to use it cuz everytime there is something going wrong, i do consider i learn really fast and i have a decent amount of hardware and electronics knowledge cuz the pc hobby i mentioned before but i dont know anything about 3d printing ant this is my journey start. What are your thoughts on these, would you consider i should be fine with the k1 SE?
@oscarnaranjo844 so it's a hard one to call both printers have excellent features for the price,.. so far the k1se is performing really well. With the updated extruder and unicorn nozzle
I replaced my stock extruder on my one-year-old K1 Max. I adjusted it as I printed a 15-minute benchy at full speed with regular PLA and it was better than the first one. No stringing and perfect layers!
Thats good to hear, i have the newer version of k1max so came with the upgraded extruder, but my k1 has improved massively.
@@3DPUK-TECH-CHANNEL Hi just a question, when you say the Upgraded extruder on the new k1 max, does that mean any new recent K1 max purchased from the creality site have it>?

Good video, but did you have to pay import tax, did it come from the US to the UK?
@deaconfamily2441 hi many thanks for watching, I didn't no i believe it come from Europe and no import charges
I got the problem but with the outside ones
Dont Buy this shit machine, gears broke after less then a month printing among other problems NOt worth the high price, quality is really Chinese. If you buy just order steel gears or better extruder right away and count that into the price of buying a K1 Max in eu thats about $750-1000 + $100 for upgrading. BETTER they just ship the K1 without extruder and let one buy a 3 party extruder right away to cut the price of the machine!
