Guy wearing a blue hat: "Not a fan of blue"
Shiiiieeet, that colorway looks like the shoes they sell for like 10$ at the Sport Outlet stores here in Norway. I’m not touching that.
Every first thoughts video "This NEVER happens in this alleyway - it's usually SO quiet!"
lmao
Hahahahahahaha - I think this has been said in literally EVERY first thoughts video, lately. 😂
lol
I’m currently running in this Rincon 4, absolutely love it!
is it suitable for wide feet?
The colorway looks like a Skechers reject from 2020.
Took the Rincon 4 out for 10 miles. Not bad, but I'm going to return em. The Mach 5, which is the same weight (almost to the gram, according to my coffee scale) and also with rubberized EVA, is a much more pleasant daily for me. As BITR said in their written review of the Mach 5, it disappears on the foot. The Rincon 4, on the other hand, I noticed for every mile. It felt less stable, as its platform is slightly narrower than the M5's. Maybe my foot is just adapted to my first pair of the M5 after 100 miles, but I'm going to grab some more of those babies on sale before they're gone, and pass on the Rincon 4. Cheers fellas.
I have retired Mach5 after 427 Km, and get the Rincon 4, i also use de Mach 6 and Clifton 9 is also dead after 450 Km, the foam on Rincon 4 is more responsive and soft maybe for longer time than the mach5, i also like more in rioncon 4 the snug and secure fit and thick tongue, you can pull on the laces very tight with no lace bites :) i did two sessions in Rincon 4, last one 9x1 minute at 3:40 km min pace and are flying, i have to slow down because i was at 2:40-2:50 min/km for the first interval and i did not notice :)
@@virusul2263 glad the Rincon 4 is working for ya. I agree that the lockdown is nice and secure. I had no problems there on the Mach 5 either, and the thin tongue doesn’t bother me. I hope the midsole lasts longer for me because I just picked up two more pairs! Even if I don’t get long mileage, I love the Mach 5. Happy running to you. 🏃
Last year I tried Rincon 3 and Mach 5, i prefer Mach 5 for the same reasons. If you like Mach 5, i suggest you to try Mach 6, this update is a real success
I love that colorway. Have 3 different super trainers in that color way.
I just ordered me a black/white color way pair today. Can’t wait
I'm just after the... PRIORITY 1: comfortable trainer, 2ND PRIORITY: durability, 3RD PRIORITY: price. It doesn't necessarily mean that Rincon 4 comes out with only blue color. Of course, it will be marketed with a variety
Ive always been afraid of jumping in on hoka because of durability issues people have stated about before but they're one of the only companies left dishing out newer models with lower drops...as a mid to forefoot strikers, i appreciate that so much...theres topo, hoka, and then you have 0 drop conpanies like altra...if i use a 8 to 10mm drop shoe like a novablast or triumph i tend to heel strike which feels awkward
Blue is fine. Geesh.
Sounds promising. I had the Rincon 1 back in the day but didn' t bother with v2 and 3. It was a great lightweight daily trainer but the problem was that the midsole died and went firm very early. If they really did improve durability this time around(not sold on it) then I'm interested...
That has been mine and many other commenters’ exp as well. It’s horrible when shoes die so quickly because you start wondering if there’s something about your running form instead
Rincon 3 is the only Hoka I sent back. Even the wide was too narrow.
its a very narrow shoe probably as narrow as the arahi
@@Carlosediaz543 yeah it is. I sent it back and got the Clifton and it works much better for me. Even the Mach 6 in wide works for me too. I use it for uptempo days.
!!!!The Hoka rincon 4.....is here!!!!. I had the rincon V2. Like from 🇪🇸 Spain. Have a good day.
Loved the Rincon 1, and still have the 3 (almost as good). But doesn't the Cielo Road render the Rincon obsolete? I see no advantage to the now much heavier Rincon (other than price).
Ya it’s cheaper but in terms of cost effectiveness Rincon’s so bad because the midsole flattens out so quickly
hoka finally finally putting rubber on their shoes is insanne after all these years. Thank goodness. The Shoe looks great tho
Had v1 and v2 and both felt great at first but the foam felt dead between 75-100 miles so skipped v3 and will skip this version unless long term reviews show otherwise
Yeah, it’s not a very good proposition when it’s 20-30% cheaper than other competing daily trainers but durability is down by a whole 50% or more
Hoka always seems to release the sickest colourways a ways into a release to reel folks back in, if they’re fans, but they could at least not make the initial releases so ugg. There have been exceptions: eg Mach 4 started strong. But yeah, routinely wait from 6 months to a year now for the pretty shoes to come out after an update.
Great point. The life of the Clifton 9 and Bondi 8 has been so long at this point. Those first colors were pretty horrendous. Second round was much better. Third round was even better. None of that would make sense in reverse.
@@Zooga_Boy totally
High St. Deli hat. Iykyk.
Looking forward to this shoe
LOVE IT!! Been running in rincon 3 for miles and miles
How’s the fit? Been hearing it’s roomy for a Hoka
The fit is very hugging and secure (wider than the mach 6 nd Clifton 9 ) but from al the 10 pairs of hoka i have this one should be bought in half a size up i use43 1/3 or 9.5 and 44 or 10 us will be beater in the front the big toe is just a little cramped, is to pointed in the front :) weight for 9.5 us eu 43 1/3 is 470 grams for the pair , 10 grams more than Mach 5 and Mach 6 .
Interesting. I found the Rincon to be slightly tighter than the Mach 6 on my foot. -Karl
@@Believeintherun thanks. I tried on the Mach 6 and it was very very tight in my normal size. I had zero issues with the fit of the Mach 5.
The colour (color for webster's fans ) deffo has Skecher's vibes
The Rincon 3 is a shame in term of outsole design, almost no outsole. It is lasted barely 200km before the bouncy going away. The shoes aged so fast
It was your middle school colors Robbe!
Mach 6 makes the Rincon irrelevant.
I don’t care if it’s 5 oz for my size 11, no way I’m running in just EVA again. I’ll take the SL 2 for 5 cheaper
Need the grams!! ounces means nothing to me
Rincon and the Beacon started the lightweight trend. Propel V5 sounds/looks better than this shoe at the same price.
It’s a non starter for Rincon this year. If anyone is spending $125 for shoes like Rincon with a decomposing midsole, might as well spend $15 more and get Rebel v4
Did ya'll lose the other DJI mic? 😉
Never had one, just started using DJI recently. Getting another one soon.
It dies well before 100mi if you are at all heavy footed.
Rincon level durability should be illegal
Karl needs more exposure in front of the camera and that shoe is a no from me! Mizuno Neo Vista every day!
This was really a bad video. No information. I thought the Rincon has two layers? Just like the mach 4 and 5.
Hoka’s are comfy but ugly…. And awful color way…. Keep the comfort but change the design and logo…. Hoka’s look like a shoe billboard
Meh, they look so generic. I like rincon 3 so much also for the design, this is mediocre.
Improved durability… means that foam is dead at 120-130 miles now, instead of 100.🫢🤭
I totally crossed out Hoka after Rincon. Are their other shoes’ midsoles similarly self-decomposing?
@@KoIharagot the Clifton 9 with around 550 km (about 340 miles) and they are still a very enjoyable ride. Also the outsole shows only little signs of wear.
Mach6 feels like new to me at around 150 miles plus too much walking in them.
EVA foam again🥱, that's gonna be a no for most people
