  • This is my first time listening to anything off the Black Album by Metallica, and though it feels very different it still very much feels Metallica. I loved the song. #reaction #metallicareaction #metallica

This was the album that exploded their fan base. Seriously, everyone in my high school had or wanted this when it came out. After that, more people started listening to their previous stuff. And Justice for All was my first Metallica album, and I've been a fan ever since.

A YEAR IN A HALF IN THE LIFE is a documentary about the making of this album…it’s maybe the best behind the scenes thing any band has done, so damn cool

This is probably their most famous and recognisable song to the general public. Either this or Nothing Else Matters.

I heard that I should give Wolf and man a reaction. What do you think?

@@ReactionGenX there’s plenty of great tracks on that album, and there was like 6 singles that were released, so you might be familiar with a few.
Of Wolf and Man is probably a good one, or My Friend of Misery, or The God That Failed.
Several of the black album and Load tracks were also played on the live S&M (1999) concert video, which was sensational.

Bob Rock is the reason this album sounds the way it does! He approached Metallica and said let's make the album you have always wanted to make and the rest is history! High production value! You can watch the making of this and other albums on you tube

When listening to Metallica, have you ever thought, man this would go perfect with a full symphony orchestra behind it! Well, your in luck. The S and M concert will be for you! I recommend Sad but True

Yeah, some people say this was their last good album. But... I have no idea what those people have been smoking or what else is wrong with them. HEHEHE! I started listening to Metallica in 1986, and I love all their albums, not only the first ones.
Metallica have so many great albums after the Black Album. If people listen to the Death Magnetic album, they will see it is really heavy with a lot of thrashy songs. One of my favorite albums are Hardwired to Self Destruct that came out in 2016. My favorite song there is Spit Out The Bone. That song is top 10 for me out of the whole Metallica catalog. Hope you have time to react to that one in the future. I think it is right up your ally. Sick riffs and crazy drumming.
Also on their latest album 72 Seasons there is a few really good songs. My favorites are "Room of Mirrors" and "Inamorata". Great reaction by the way! :)

Totally agree. I don’t think they would have persisted doing six more albums as versions of the first 3-4. I love some of the songs on Load and Reload, totally love Death Magnetic, and 72 Seasons is probably my least favorite…outside Lola which, imo, is unlistenable.

You should react to the 1991 Moscow Concert where they played to 1.6 million people after the dismantling ofthe Soviet Union. Now with Putin this can't happen again. History is repeating ❤😊

They got a new producer on this album ( Bob Rock ) . This album is more polished, more commercial, more radio friendly. It's a great album but it also started to tick of more of their hardcore fans. That felt they were starting to sell out. Personally I love this album too.
I like all their albums but one. The "St. Anger" album has a horrible mix. That makes the drums sound like Lars is playing on pots and pans.

I was halfway through the song when I realized I had heard the song somewhere before and I said that in the video. I don’t know where but at some point I had.
