These clearly say 4.75” right on the side…
Think of them as scale representations of 4.75 tires. That scale being 1.05/1. Or would that be 1.05/1/10th?

It's a 40% underdrive to the rear wheels.
I found a small flat blade screwdriver is the easiest way to move the selector level for the underdrive
Underdrive is still achieving overdrive 😁 but I get the advantage of adjusting the rear ratio. I had to check the math just in case, I was happy to see it was almost bang on 40%
I think this will be an awesome addition to the fleet. I love the fact of a straight axle build and the adjustability an upgrades I see in the future for this is going amazing. Axial definitely didn't disappoint on this one.

Yeah, I was wondering what too! And it landed perfectly on the bumper!
Probably the most interesting axial to me right now, I like that there is no body, tires or even wheels but maybe would've preferred portal axles.

Really great to see. A good sign of adoption and the versatility is really cool. Interesting they went with so much overdrive but maybe due to the weight distribution and overall potential weight. A lot of performance value in the package and seems like a friendly intro to LCG realm. Very nice.
Great looking build with all the newest fearures! Nice to see Axial release a more competitive kit. I like that it leaves the option of body and wheel/tires up to the builder (always a very personal choice) but would like to see it come in a little bit cheaper, maybe $399? Going to be fun to see where this goes! 👍

Wondering how many we will see at Rocky Mountain Regional, out crawling around, and Maybe in a Comp ? Not too bad on price, and I like it offered as a slider, I'll have to see it in person 1st, but who knows Maybe there is another Axial in my future. 🤔

Its a good start. I'd rather see dig than selectable OD, preferably front and rear dig like the Losi LCC. I am anxious to see if Element will answer with a new offering using their new forward mount/laydown trans and hopefully new high pinion axles.

Pretty cool looking rig. For my self I am going to get the new vanquish over this, simply since i do not have a vanquish rig. Since you are good friends with the guys at axial, tell them they should re-release the Betty body!!!🤘🤘🤘
I may have to get one. Wish the skid was steeper and the axles a bit wider. Already run a couple Capra axled cheaters w/ 12 degree skids. Not sure if I'm capable of reeling it back in from hardline outlaw land 🤣

I dont see the value, but I am certainly no expert. For what i do, the vanquish rtr is a great mix of value and performance. Of coarse, i havent driven, nor can I afford either (disability). Im more of a dreamer/tirekicker!
The prices are all ridiculous anymore, becoming a rich man's game.

Axial hit it out of the park with this one! The price is a little steep for a kit but still comparable to the cost of piecing one together with chassis, axles, trans, and links.
I've seen the pictures of the axle mount I honestly think it's ugly and I see it as a problem with hanging up but the selectable over drive is something I need to try lol

Comp rigs to the masses, yeah.... your excitement is about the same as mine. I'm surprised it didn't come with a half chopped up power wagon body and some scale hyrax tires lol. Oh well, good on them I can see this still being well received

Factory flat railed cheater chassis I dig it and if carbon fiber chassis rails are released for it I'm all in. This is the first axial kit in long time I'm excited about

A positive direction for Axial. You will never create a build kit that satisfies everyone's personal preferences but they did a great job of creating a starting point for some and a leap forward for others. I don't quite understand the transmission aspect but maybe that will bring the overdrive shift into the mainstream.
They killed it with this one, and it will push other big players to do something similar hopefully

@@Axial32have you ever built a custom lcg rig? If you did you'd see the value in that $429 price tag. I got one to compare to my gspeed build... it's a better kit for way less money and fully engineered. But you can trail run it no problem.

I’d still just buy the phoenix RTR and couple servos😂. Thanks for the news!

I really like it, but I'm not paying that for a kit, I'll wait until the price drops a little. Almost as much as a built, rtr Capra when they came out.

Wow, I was considering one until I heard the price...
Sorrca 2023 height is measured from bottom of body or slider to top of roofline. So if the bottom of slider adds 1/4” it can be class 2 compliant
I measured as per SORRCA rules. Axial is aware of the height issue, the told me before it arrived.
@@HarleyDesignsInc so even measuring from the bottom of the slider to top of the pro body it is still 4.0”?
Definitely higher price than expected, I'll wait to see how it goes on the rocks before I jump on this one

I get the effort but a gspeed truck if you want something like this or a vs4 10 platform and you won't be disappointed

I'm currently looking for a new class 2. I've decided I'm not modifying Boris (my current class2) so, I'm shopping. I've bought 9 Vanquish trucks, and about the same in axial.
I was thinking about an associated this time. But a serious deciding factor question,

It’s a great question since Axial has done fewer and fewer kits.
Not thrilled by the zero or 40% overdrive. 30% OD is my desired max. Probably will wait to see the upgrades. Great that there are no body/tires/wheels or electronics included.

Just built mine today. Instructions are sub par. Vanquish phoenix is so much more complicated but sooooo much easier to build. I think of ikea when I built my pro....

How does the cliffhanger body sit on this chassis? I have a cliffhanger body still in the pgk that I was considering building a comp chassis for, this seems like a simple all in one box chassis.
I saw RC Driver dropped one on easily.
I paid $350 just for my chassis, not including having to buy an entire TRX4 Sport kit. I can't wait to build this one.

Id love to see a 4WS kit from the factory. This seems like it screams for a 4WS option and I never want to spend like 100+ dollars on another front axle! Just give me one from the factory!!!

Axles seem like the best feature. Skid /Transmission seems kinda wonky to me .
Heck i still run my trx4 in full unlocked and only lock 1 axle at a time if needed. Love super scale.

I ve only been in this hobby for about three years and after a lot of money wasting I now have five pretty capable rigs in the axial bomber,scz10 11,scx10 11 Unimog 6x6,traxxas 2021 bronco and a trx6,all of which have been modified or upgraded in some way.I was looking for something a bit diferent and was considering the trx4 sport traxx version untill I heard about this.
For me,someone who has never built a kit and has limited knowledge on the lcg scene then this is ideal.
Sure it’s not cheap but axial are generally pretty good and I m a big fan of their rigs.I m estimating a total cost of about £750 with brushless fitted,when you look at some rigs at that price point then I think that’s pretty ok for that level.
I looked at a rc4wd crawler at £680,but it’s got a £22 esc fitted,the hobbywing 1060! Really? I d have expected a bit more at that price point tbh.
This is the one for me and i ve got one on backorder as they wo nt reach the uk for a few weeks,I ll do a video in due course.👍👍😀

No, it’s still just 40% overdrive. The Underdrive stipulation really doesn’t change anything. It just means the rear axle is lowering the ratio.
I second the price, I get it inflation is going to trickle into this hobby, maybe if it had a body, tires and wheels I would have caved but not when I can add rails to a Phoenix rtr and rock out...

metal flat rails make it C1 legal also..right?
No, the metal Frame rail rule is no longer in place but the angled skid makes it illegal for Class 1.
