Thanks Shridhar,I am having OCD since childhood. But it got so worse in 2012,I got admitted in Nimhans Hospital Bangalore. There they taught me how to deal OCD.My Dr was Dr.Suresh Badamatt.Your present video is about overthinking and this overthinking for me is about obsessions and repitative thoughts about all my ocd stuffs, like cleaning, arranging, counting, perfections etc etc.Last few days again my graph is very low.I am getting obsessions and I am over thinking about my ocd stuffs. Thanks Shridhar this video has helped me and refreshened all the counselling at Nimhans. Its all about Awareness and Mindfulness. Its all about not giving importance to those unwanted waste of ocd thoughts. Thanks Shridhar👐
I have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) overthinking comes with the territory. I have suffered sleeplessness since I was a small child. 10 years ago I started to listen to "bedtime stories" to distract my brain from being active and ruminating and keeping me awake. I put on documentaries on youtube and put the sound really soft or I will listen to an audiobook. By doing so and passively listening (not watching) I can fall asleep in 10 to 15 minutes instead of lying awake and feeling angry for hours. Hope this helps someone. Love from Belgium
When you said "Distraction", I was like 'whattt' but then after watching it , I just had my AHA moment! Very well explained! Loved it! Keep slaying! 👌🔥
Correct. After a point of time the pain becomes a comfort zone. And not being in pain feels so weird that we try to seek it in other ways. May be this is why somewhere I purposefully keep overthinking. It has become a habit and now am like if not overthink then what? Have a healthy life style? That would be so bland. The toxicity of overthinking has become a part of me and i now i dont know what i would be without it.
Hey sridhar you remind me of someone as special as you are. Both of you look and talk so similar even the subject and the clarity of the subject🙂 and I'm not overthinking it 😂
But when we are not able to postpone our thinking...that is why we are overthinking ... the moment I will stop watching TV my thoughts will again go to the same place ... I cannot postpone it willingly
Today, I started with "how to be mentally strong when others put you down" in my watch later list and watched this video by following the links at the end of the videos.. All were worth my time and so many takeaways in each of them.. Whole lot of respect 🙏🏼 for all your videos 🙂
