@MST.TV ruling question; I'm really struggling understanding Ghost Belle, I get that it can't hit a drytron in the hand as the information is revealed that it is from the hand, but why is that not also true for cards Gamma when there are no Drivers in the GY?
I think this is the difference, I'm no judge so take it with a grain of salt. This is because when a card leaves the place where it activates it is considered a new card and Drytron Alpha specifically says "summon this card". On the ghost belle ruling for drytrons- u can’t belle if ur summoning from hand, why can u ash a needle fiber if it’s special summoning a tuner from hand
Because u don't choose where halqifibrax is going to summon from until the resolution. An activated drytron from hand will only ever summon from the hand at the point of activation. You cannot activate an Ash on resolution, u activate the Ash, when the Haqli activates. 1. Activate Halqifibrax (on resolution it can come from hand or deck), response? 2. Chain Ash. Vs 1. @@MSTTV ok that makes sense, thanks. If the drytron has moved from the hand to the grave (drytron cl1 hand destruction cl 2) will the drytron resolve properly?
Hi, low level judge here. Hey Tom, I recently dueled some1 who tried to battle fader my dragoon. I remembered back in the day battle fader ruling was it targets but I can't seem to find it. Can u just explain if it indeed does target or not?
Because PF Gamma does not specify where the Driver is special summoned from before resolving the effect, so the Driver could theoretically end up in the GY before resolving it's effect.
Ghost belle can only negate drytron gamma at any point because its effect includes the ss from grave, regardless of if you choose to do so on resolution. Otherwise, it depends on whether the activated drytron was in hand or gy, as it only special summons (itself) from the grave when activated in the gy. E: Psy-frame gamma, like the previous reply said, doesn't specify so it always has the option to ss from gy. If you were to say, discard driver from hand with twin twisters cl2 gamma could ss driver from gy instead of from deck or hand.
Im trying to understand the logic behind the Ghost belle and drytron interaction. Mostly because as it stands Ghost belle as well as Ash blossom can both stop a psyframe from working. The only way i could say that they wouldnt work is if i can show that im not ss from my gy for belle and my deck for blossom. Is that correct.
Basically, as the drytrons special summon themselves, on the activation you'll know where the drytron special summons itself from. If it was activated in hand, it will be special summoning from hand and ghost belle can't negate that. Ghost belle would work if it was activated from GY, however. In the case of gamma, on the other hand, it doesn't specify whatsoever where the driver can be summoned from, and so 'checks' for whether you're summoning from gy, hand, or deck on resolution rather than when it was activated, which lets both ash and belle negate psy-frame gamma at any point in time. The only drytron that can always be belle'd is gamma, as it checks on resolution to ss the drytron from grave so it's a similar case to prep or psy-frame gamma
@@dextmo6890 Makes sense. Than am i correct in thinking that if i dont have any drivers in grave than my opponent cant Ghost belle me. And with ash if i have 3 drivers in the grave.
@@atbender89 not correct, with psy-frame gamma it only checks on the resolution of the effect. Even if a driver isn't there at the moment, if one were to go to the gy before gamma resolved you could still special summon the driver from gy. With the drytrons, they only ss themselves from the location they activated, so if one was discarded after it activated in hand, it wouldn't resolve and ss itself. I'm not sure how the gamma+3driver in grave versus ash would work, but part of me thinks that as gy content is public knowledge, you couldn't ash gamma in that specific situation. I'd ask your local judge though for a clearer explanation though.
So with the Belle ruling vs Drytron, if I activate alpha in my hand and my opponent chains dragoon to negate Alpha and I chain droplet pitching my alpha, when the chain resolves, if droplet successfully negates dragoon, will my Alpha not summon from the GY(with explanation please)?
It will not. You pitched the Alpha you activated so, due to how changing locations work in this game, it is now considered a different card than the one you activated. Trying to summon the one from GY would be illegal because you'd be trying to summon a different monster than the one you activated in hand.

Can you tribute summon after activating predaplants effect for red eyes fusion. Etc tributing predaplant and a benten in a deck that features dragoon?
Verte anaconda only prevents special summons for the rest of the turn. Normal and flip summons are completely legal.
@@xatuyou8045 even after using the effect of red eyes fusion?
@@rjcentala8996 red eyes fusion only prevents you from summoning if you activate the card itself. Verte anaconda only copies the effect of the card and isn’t considered activating it.
asking tom : effect revive, if i didnt have card in hand, can i activate xuanwu?
I wanna see more rulings about the chilean denkko sekka
The Fleurdelis can keep its ATK boost after being negated leads me to the question: what is about cherubini? because he could technically boost another BA, but if he boosted his own atk, so only of one monster and then gets f.e. impermanenced later in the turn, can he keep the boost or not?
Cherbini too on another BA keeps the boost
Because it can boost another monster it linger until the end of the turn
@@MSTTV cool, that was helpful, thank u ;)
Ist it illegal if i activate the VW trap, but dont have any cards in hand?
The gy effect yeah... U need to be able to resolve all parts and the send is mandatory
I can imagine someone trying to resolve a hand-activated drytron by special summoning it from the gy if it is sent there before resolution & vice versa
If that happens, call a judge and tell them no.
Q1: Drytron activate eff in hand, chain twin twister/droplets sending said Drytron, would drytron still summon?
Q2: Can opponent ash colink knightmare eff even though you're under droll/pot eff?
1. No u cannot summon that drytron anymore. It moved from 1 location to another, not considered the same card.
2. That's a good one. I need to confirm with a fellow judge. If I needed to reply on the spot, I would say u can still Ash, if we ignore drolls application, the effect still has met it's condition to include an effect which would lead to a drawing of a card. Feel free to appeal me on this. I'll grab more info to see if there are precedents and get back to this
I just picked up gks and with the erata I’m worried about Royal Tribute and people cheating any advice on them or am I going to have do deal with probably screwed
Being*
Umm if you are going to play royal tribute on remote or in person, you will need to keep track of how logically your opponent can have monsters
@@MSTTV thanks just sucks how they changed like I understand seeing your opponents hand was making it way overpowered but it also checks for cheating but oh well love the channel btw :)
Lookin sharp dude, good vid as always
Since i dont do Twitter
Question:
Prosperity vs Any Danger Reveal.
If I prosperity can I still reveal a danger in attempt to summon it even though they say "amd if you do draw 1 card"
Yes since neither the summon nor the draw are guaranteed. It’s the same with droll and vanity’s fiend.
@@xatuyou8045 so if summon occurs i just skip the draw correct
@@timbahr1792 correct.
@@xatuyou8045 thanks man
Yes u can still use it, u do as much as I can as there is an RNG outcome to the card. Xatu has it right
That’s how it sounds listening to judge give an infraction for real lol
I mean u can hear it on stream..... Like.. I think that's public enough
At the na rdi
So Tom due to PoP's effect how would dark bribe affect s/t after PoP has been played 1st.
Opponent cannot use dark bribe, much like extravagance
So Ghost bell can't negate drytron bc of the "or" then why is ghost blossom able to negate metaverse since its add to hand or activate it?
The option of special summon from hand or gy in drytrons eff is determined on activation. This means that on resolution of a drytron effect that activated in hand, there is no possibility that the card will special summon from gy.
But metaverse's option of activate/add to hand is determined on resolution. This means that on resolution there is a possibility that the card will be added to hand.
I thought you couldn't use evenly matched if your opponent control multiple tokens and evenly matched is the only card on the field when you activate it because your opponent can't banish cards until they control the same number as yours. You control one and your opponent controls multilple.
What happens when there are 2 Avramaxes on my field can the opponent attack?
the one from the turn player wins
Avramax has an effect that prevents the opponent from attacking my question is what happens when 2 are on my side of the field?
@@aleksaboricic5644 So he cant attack like all the monsters that has similar effects lol
I thought you could use ghost belle vs drytron that’s what the Cali effect king of games
Only from the GY (and drytron gamma only from hand) not the other ones.
Prosperity still halves damage after being ashed?
14:06 What would happen if I fart on my own cards though?
Then U do you, luckily remote duel we can't smell it..
Are you using Mai's smell tactics?
Wow so that “or” prevents you from using Ghost Belle on Dryton even though you can Ghost Belle a Preparation of Rites with the player using the graveyard part of the card.
Because, during resolution, u can can chain another card and throw a ritual spell into grave. There is not guarantee at resolution u won't be able to. Much like Ash vs Shaddoll fusion. U can always Ash it.
Basically, once you activate a Drytron in hand, it is not longer a possible that it can summon from GY instead.
Prolly one of your nicer haircuts, looks good
what is whole turn in yugioh I'm new
Draw phase to end phase
Crackdown vs Toadally Awesome
You look much better with that hair cut
Ppl still try to ghostbell my drytrons
You sound like the chess player Hikaru Nakamura....
I can't unhear it
I am a fan of Hilary, I also noticed we have similar mannerisms from time to time
Hey Tom, what do you think about that cheater in the LATAM invitational?
Why is reading comprehension so hard but everyone want to act like judges 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
