Is the device you have a "Galloping Ghost", the poor mans multi. In the late 1950's I was a schoolboy and with pocket and paper round money bought ,second hand, my first RC , an ED remote control unit , the TX was about the size of a shoebox and sat on the ground it had an aerial about 8 ft long and was operated with a push button at the end of a wire that plugged into the TX ,the TX was powered by two batteries. The RX was an ED Airtrol also powered by two batteries , this controlled a rubber powered escapement that also needed a battery ! I put this into a Mercury Matador and the whole lot lumbered into the sky behind a Frog 149 "Vibromatic " diesel. Although primitive by any standard it was wonderful to have some control even if it did fly away sometimes, it was so heavy it didn't go far !! Really enjoy your videos , something to entertain me in my dotage .
Awesome《☆》Brings back memories🍺🍕I worked on a Full grown PieTracer in 1996. I don't remember too much about it but it had the same paint scheme. We did an Annual Inspection on it for a private owner. Cheers Nice build🖖😎☮
Great to see the old McGregor minimac. My first RC gear was the radio modeller magazine transmitter that my dad built fitted in an oxo tin. A minimac receiver, and an elmic compact escapement, all fitted in the Ken Willards Schoolmaster. We used to fly at stony cross airfield then. Good days.
One of each pair of the wing to fuse connectors should be semi floating ,to avoid vibrating and the need for perfect alignment . Like your attention to detail ,what glue do you use on the pin hinges?

Enjoyable video to watch. Looking forward to seeing plane completed and in the air. It should be a nice stable flyer.
