In many ways, the fact that Joe Rogan isn't entirely sure why his (esp. political) content is working, is probably what makes it resonate so well. No initial, conscientious, calculating intent. It comes across as natural, and evolving in real time.

    • @jonathanpusar5931
      @jonathanpusar5931 3 роки тому +11

Exactly. There’s obviously no bias or I’ll intent. He is genuinely curious about people and life.
He’s also a really good entertainer and commentator in general, whether announcing UFC or making a horrible reality show somehow work.

"Why is this thing still f'in number 1?"
So much honesty there. I think it also helps that he started first. When you're the original a lot of people are trying to copy what they saw and that makes some other podcasters seem less authentic. It's only a matter of time before a new podcast overtakes him though. There is so much competition out there that I find myself more and more going to other podcasts, but Joe DEFINITELY has an amazing skill at talking with passion. He did it with UFC too. He knows how to get people interested.

5:52 It was Iraq 🇮🇶 that started to change my political ideals too. I grew up in a conservative family. I was young and naive, and I believed Iraq had WMD’s and we needed to invade to protect ourselves from a potential attack.
Then we all found out there were no WMD’s, that Halliburton (Dick Cheney’s former company) received a $7 billion dollar no bid contract, and of the $12 billion in cash 💵 that the U.S. government sent to Iraq, $9 billion was unaccounted for. They captured and killed Saddam Hussein, but they let Osama Bin-Laden get away and flee to Pakistan.🇵🇰 And never mind the fact that the majority of the 9/11 terrorists came from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 who are supposedly our allies but yet they fund and supply terrorists.
We went from having a balanced budget and a surplus, to having massive debt and inflation. The roll back of regulation led to the housing collapse and the Great Recession, and all the gains I had seen were wiped out.
Then I believed that Obama would come in and bring the change we needed. And he did some good things, but for the most part he bailed out all the companies that got us in the mess we were in, and he did very little to help average Americans. He continued the drone strikes, and the endless wars. He fell short on healthcare, handing private insurance companies a windfall and causing insurance premiums to skyrocket. And the wealth divide in America 🇺🇸 only grew deeper. That’s when I became disillusioned.
Then I thought that we had a chance with Bernie Sanders, but Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party, and the media conspired against him and the American people twice, and handed one election to Trump, and the other election to Biden.
And nothing has changed for the better. It’s only gotten worse. Neither the Democrats or the Republicans are interested in helping average Americans.

9/11 did it for me. Big wake up call there, even as a young man I knew the official version of events didn't make sense with all the war games NORAD was conducting in the weeks and very same day the attacks happened. How 4 jumbo sized jets evaded the world's most advanced air force....while they were conducting war games preparing for said event. How the missing 9 trillion was announced the day before of the attacks...literally a day before. Then said "plane" that hit the pentagon destroyed the Naval Accounting office and killed everyone that was supposed to investigate the missing money, lol. How they found the "terrorists" ID cards in the wreckage of the towers, yet they weren't melted or destroyed in any way.
And all of that wasn't even the tip of the iceberg, there's also the israeli involvement of the 5 dancing israelis that were arrested by the FBI and released after they were seen celebrating and videotaping the attacks, then said israelis go back to Israel on a talk show and publically tell the world "they were only there to document the attacks", which implies they had foreknowledge of them, and the FBI even said themselves they also had foreknowledge of the attacks but did nothing, just let it happen.
So yeah, it was then that I knew OKC was probably a big lie too and there are similarities with that and 9/11 just as well. Nothing has been real for a long time, literally everything is a lie.

Take the JRE pledge: "I will only vote for a presidential candidate who agrees to go on JRE." No more sound bites and cliches from our public officials. No more democracy mediated by the legacy media.

1:35 trust me Joe, there was A LOT of disrespect against many politicians the same way it is now...... but offcourse it didn't seem that way, cause back in the 80's, people didn't have social media to express it every other day :D:D

Joe rogan and the way he handles and elevates podcasters and podcasting is similar to what gordon ramsay does with the owners and staff at resturaunts and hotels. Heroes.

Wasn't Joe one of those people labeling Joe Biden as being senile? He definitely would talk about him not being fit to be president because of his mental state.

Politicians lie; a no brainer. Politics are like the Devil Wears Prada, “ you are wearing the clothes we decided for you that you would wear and your sitting here wearing them without even knowing the effort that was placed into the decision.”

@Chris Smith Right but Joe cant admit that outright, he just goes around it without bluntly saying it. There are liberal cities run by insane progressives even in the most red states unlike Cali and NY which are essentially one party states

I like Rogan, but it's funny how people give such obsequious deference to rich men.
