I disagree. Jack Dorsey was so uncomfortable that he had to come back with his legal team. Even the legal lady looked uncomfortable with the questions being asked. In my opinion, Joe and Tim Pool did a good job of addressing a bunch of uncomfortable subjects with the time they had available. You also need to remember that the Joe Rogan podcast isn't about antagonizing guests, so they also had to balance things out with "comfortable" subjects and lighter moments.

I think its because the new studio has some crazy lighting. you can see how powerful they are in the reflection in the TV during the wide shot.
It's the lens. With a shallow depth of field the background is blurry, making it seem like the subject is even clearer than normal.

He gave more answers to the press on a wider variety of topics than joe biden has in his entire career. Yeah, we can all criticize the president, but doesn't it feel just a tad terrible to be speaking about his mental health this way? I felt that way when the media was talking about Trump, too., but I guess the difference here is that the media is all covering for Biden whereas they made all these proclamations about Trump's health--even conflating his niece.
The thing is, is that if his mental capacities are in fact deteriorating, then how is he supposed to lead a country? I think that the main concern. And to your point, it's quite popular to make fun and criticize the sitting president, right or left...

A President hasn't done a real interview in 60 years, it's all controlled, even the "tough" questions. There is no such thing as an unscripted question asked to a President that they have to sit there and answer for the American people.

And there’s the reason why Joe Rogan’s podcasts are so long.
I honestly think it would be a good 3 hour pod if he came in and talked about some of the more uncomfortable issues but was comfortable addressing them amongst other ideas that he has and shining a light on poor decisions he's made but highlighting good ones as well. It's very neutral ground and if you ever watched Trump before he ran for president, he was very witty and well-spoken. I just think the pressure of today's MSM causing things to be blown out of proportion makes for shitty interview environments and I think doing an extended interview where all of the good/bad can get addressed and in as much/little detail as needed provides a level of comfortability that you can't get from other podcasts/news shows.
It'd be a good interview if he wasn't planning to run again, then he could genuinely go off the cuff.
Otherwise it's a campaign-related interview, far less real.
