    Dan,
Perfect timing!! I just got back from a local lake that I was using streamers. More towards the wooly bugger style. I tried a lot of the ideas you just mentioned and had pretty decent success. I got beat by the indicator guys but your tip of using the streamer under an indicator is great because I got snagged on the rocks a few times. May have helped find the depth of the fish as well. I would love a pdf of your notes. I think you got my email but let me know if you need me to send a request.
Side note…… I broke my fly rod this morning sooooo I’m gonna have to be making an order if you know what I mean??
    Thanks Dan!

Thanks Matt - I've been working hard on that PDF, I hope it helps! OH NO!! Sorry to hear about the broken rod, that is never fun. Be sure to take advantage of the member savings if you decide to go the FFD route! :)) Cheers!

Dan, this spring is my goal to do some streamer fishing. A number of people I know are moving to 10 foot rods. This is for both rivers and lakes. What's your opinion on 10 ft versus 9 ft rods?

@@KE7NKF I have one rod that’s 10 feet - and I’ve fished it a few times, it certainly helps with distance casting. The biggest challenge I’ve found with a ten footer is with smaller fisheries - often I’m casting shorter distances which is much harder with a longer rod. I also prefer a 9’ rod when landing a fish, I feel I have more close control. A 10’ rod certainly makes roll casting a lot easier :)). It boils down to my personal preference and what I’m used to, which is 9’.
