Hey Brian Tong, I have been trying to reach you, would you like to redesign your Apple Bitz logo and also a series of good and bad Apple, thumb up and down icons that match your pixelated brand theme? I already have these ideas, let me know if you like to make this opportunity happen! :-)
As an Apple fan, I can't wait to upgrade from my iPhone 13 to the iPhone 16 pro max, in about 1 month hopefully, I will need a good case though, and perhaps good headphones... any advice?
I wouldn’t mind a thicker iPhone so that there is no camera bump and is completely flush on the back. This would also allow for more internals like a bigger battery. Maybe dual security features like both Face ID and under screen fingerprint sensor to access things like bank account or passports and IDs
I doubt they would do that unless for the entry-level models This guy is just speculating and I can’t see any reason why Apple would do this. This guy is clearly misinforming people on this one if Apple hasn’t said they’re going to do something don’t take speculation from some random UA-camr as gospel
Right, maybe in 2030. Apple is not a risk-taker. They watch and wait for other companies to take the risk. Then they’ll present the same thing as new and slap the word dynamic on it after it’s already been out for years on Android.
The incremental improvements make all this a little redundant IMO. Personally, I love it when my phone is 2-3 years old and I'm not worried about scratching it. Like a car….its a working horse, not a status symbol.
What? From titanium going back to aluminium? And all the possible designs shown are horrible. I am keeping my 16 Pro Max for a while, if that’s the case 😊
Don't really like the idea of eliminating the physical SIM slot. I have multiple phones (including feature phones) and what SIM card inserted is determined where I go. Changing physical SIM to an eSIM and vice versa would be a headache.
If I had to guess the 17 Air is either the iPhone flip or pre curser to their folding phones and won’t actually make it to market because I don’t see anyone buying this
I would love the thin phone. Seems like it’s the next SE model, which should be branded as “Air”. Although, I don’t think I can sacrifice camera zoom and smaller screen
Spatial video would still work with that new layout, you’d just be filming vertically (which more and more people are doing) Maybe they are gonna make spatial video ratio 1:1, so this new camera arrangement won’t be an issue 🤷♂️ that’s what I’d do.
The Pro models are already the biggest selling iPhones compared to their lesser models. Having other colors might sell more Pros but it probably won’t be anything susbstantial.
Another thought about thinness when these devices are already easy to fumble is that our fingers are not getting smaller or thinner, so maybe there is a sweet spot of phone physical size for phones. For me, we are already there and I’d appreciate using the advances in ICs, batteries and optical path to put more power, longer run time and more camera in place rather than going thinner. Thinner just means I’d need to get a larger grippier case around it.
I hope they don’t release a phone next year. I would much prefer Apple just focusing on doing significant work in improving the phone behind the scenes, then releasing an entirely different phone kind of like how Tesla makes a refresh version of their cars rather than claiming it’s an all new release.
There isn’t a market for a thinner, standard-sized iPhone. There is a market for a smaller iPhone. Folks who like the mini, are getting to that upgrade point. Doing a two-year run of an updated mini, would sell a lot better.
The easiest phones to grip are those with plastic backs. I have never known a phone with a plastic back to suffer much damage when they are dropped but I have seen lots of phones with glass backs covered in cracks.
I know I’m in the minority but I’m so excited for an aluminum pro. It’s so much lighter than titanium and especially stainless steel and I like the matte aluminum look so much. Hopefully they don’t make it polished though. Titanium was really mostly a marketing gimmick imo
The iphone plus model hasn’t been selling well the last few years, so I think Apple renaming it the iPhone Air and making it Super Thin is a good business move. I’m sure sales will improve. For me tho, I’m sticking with the iPhone Pro Max. I’m a photographer, so iphone cameras are really important to me. I’d rather have a thicker iphone pro with 3 high end cameras than a super thin iphone plus with one camera.
I wont be upgrading from my 15 Pro until Apple makes a significant change in design. If there Air lacks some features that are dealbreakers, I would rather go 17 Pro Max as long as the design gets upgraded. I am hoping for a design change here, since the phone has looked the same since iPhone 12. I also hope if there is a slimmer design that battery is not a huge drastic compromise.
Goes back to aluminium is hard to believe. Not even stainless steel? The lack of a SIM card tray in the iPhone 17 air will definitely affect sales because a lot of countries are still heavily dependant on physical SIM cards. But maybe it’s an intentional move to shift iPhone users to e sims so they can finally remove it on all models.
iPhone 17 - I envision three models: iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17, and IPhone 17 Pro. The iPhone 17 Air market would be primarily the under 18 group but also for those that just want a mobile phone that is part of the Apple ecosystem and has basic features for a really low price. I am the owner of an iPhone, iPad Air, and MacBook Air. Rarely do I use my iPhone’s full functionality.
I’d ditch my iPhone 15 pro in a heartbeat if I could get something significantly light and smaller with the functionality of the telephoto camera. That’s the only reason I buy a pro.
People don’t often think of thinness and lightness as being a “feature”, but I definitely do. I’m very interested in what the Air will bring. Because if it’s true that apple never makes an iPhone mini again (RIP), then this may be the next best thing
I’m still rocking my iPhone 12 and probably won’t upgrade until it stops receiving upgrades. I hardly touch my phone and almost exclusively use my iPad when I’m at home. I only grab my phone when heading out the house (which is not that often cause I work remotely).
Rumors have the iPhone Air with 48 mp camera, Apple modem and as their highest priced model. The new iPhone SE4 will supposedly have the same features at the lowest price. WTF Apple? Maybe the Air model should be called the SE Plus.
Way back in 2014, when I was working in China, Oppo had a 5mm thick phone with a swivel camera. Can we say "Bend-gate" all over again? Sorry slimmer not better.
I'm starting to like Apple less and less because of the iPhone 17 leaks. First of all, going back to aluminum is stupid. Second, screw the thin, light phones, give us the iPhone Hydro. Big, partially watercooled, and make the battery last a week. That would be a real good phone.
I feel like the Air will flop. - I think normal people will take one look at it and say it’s not nearly as good as the Pro, or what they have in their pocket. Because they’ll judge it on the number of cameras only.
Lower battery life would be a loser for most people,I think. Like, a fatal bad loser bit. Walking backward on other features in favor or thinness is goofy for most of us, too. Thinness in this case feels like a “because they could” joke or something 😁
I'm got questions about the Air model with its thin design... if it goes trending, it might actually do well... I'd rather have a thick phone with lots of juice in it than a thin one. Let's wait and see what happens. I'd say no to a Thin iPhone. And if Apple is watching... maybe they are already compiling the stats as to whether to go ahead with this. Always nice to watch your videos Mr Tong.
17 Air: thin is great for some (I’ve been waiting for it to upgrade), and obviously it will reduce some features. Not everyone wants, or will ever even use, all of the top of the line features - thus SE4 (still thick like a brick); I think my 10x was the best iPhone I’ve had, don’t need the 3 cameras and my 13 Pro has SOOOO much I never even consider using (and now kick myself for paying for them). So, it would seem to make sense to sacrifice some of the highest end features (like 2 of the camera modules) to allow a thin Air to be possible. The Pro line has all the top features, cameras, etc - so it has to be thicker. iPad Air users are not the same as iPad Pro users... That said, offering the Air in only the Max size large screen seems to be short sighted (or Apple would offer the iPad and MacBook Air in only the 16” screen size…). I want the iPhone Air, and I would NOT want a Max size screen. I loved my 10x so much that I often contemplate turning it back on instead of my 13 Pro - both “regular” size screens. Only offering the thin Air in only large screen seems juxtaposed - just as would be offering the iPad and MacBook AIR in ONLY the largest screen.
I don’t care for a phone to be so thin, it’s already thin enough. Give me a battery that will last 24 hours, no matter what and how much I do on it, without adding dongles. Obviously we will lose some hardware features with it being so thin
I’m a pro user all the way & not interested at all in a slim iPhone with limitations. I don’t see any improvements in the tech to make me upgrade next year. & so far Apple ai is a complete bust for me. Apple feels at least 2 years behind google in ai… With Siri still a very dumb assistant.

A thin iphone will have a terrible battery life. It will flop! Also being cheap by going from Titanium to Aluminium is a disappointing move
I’m tired of all this. Bring the iPhone ultra. Do thick like 20 lbs brick. Make it last 5 days
Maybe not that thick lol. But I’m with you. I’ll take a thicker longer lasting ultra.
The pro’s from titanium to aluminum …. That doesn’t stick.
I agree.I hope to God this isn’t true!I have the 15 pro max and I was waiting to upgrade to the 17.I love the titanium back.
Hopefully we get colorful colors like the 6s

I would go for Airpods/JBL beam and a good leather case from Vionentus.
Thank you. I might go for the JBL. Do you know how long it takes for the leather case to arrive in the US?
No more than 3 days pal 👍

So Apple is going go from titanium to aluminum? That's a step back. Even for marketing, titanium sounds way cooler. I don't believe it.

My wish is for apple to make a.phone that is thicker with a flush flat back with no camera bump. More battery!
This is actually smart no lie
I hope that’s not true. I hope the pro line keeps the titanium.
F all the bs about size . When can we get a foldable?
na fr tho
No thanks
When there is absolutely no crease in the screen. Apple will never put out a product that comprises the look and quality of the screen.
